  1. First of all, Paypal does not issue e-mail addresses. The e-mail address that is referred to is your e-mail address; the one you give PayPal when you opened your account with them. The one you use to log into your PayPal account. If somebody wants to send you money, they go to their PayPal account and set up a payment to you at your e-mail address. Paypal uses that information to credit the monies to your PayPal account and sends you a notice that the transaction is waiting for your approval. You then go to your PayPal account, logging in with your e-mail address, and either accept the payment of decline it. I hope this clears things up for you.

  2. Hello rooossPosted Image and welcome to Trap 17 from Mich, in Michigan, USA.

This is a fine forum and hosting site. You have found the right place. Just make sure you don't post a lot of one-liners, they are considered spam. It is not the number of posts you make, but the quality that earns you credits. You will need credits to get hosting and keep your site up and running.

You also need to know all about how things operate so you can use the links just above my sig to learn all about Trap 17. As Bluebear has said, the important one is the Read Me file.

See you around the boards.

  3. Wow, three answers to this topic, yet no one has told him to read the READ ME? What a shame! From Bluebear, Norway.

ahem! Sorry Bluebear, but I believe one of the links just above my sig is Trap 17 Read Me. Didn't I say

You will need to know how things work around here so you can use the links just above my sig to learn all about Trap 17."

You are right about the forums here. They are varied and many in number. Lots of activity in them as well. If you need any help, just ask. Somebody will either answer you or point you to the answer.

    See you around. :)

  6. If you add a credit card to the account, it will automatically verify for you. PayPal will check with the credit card company about your account with them. BUT, please be aware that in the case somebody hacks into your PayPal account, the credit card company has no way of knowing that an improper person is using it. Attaching the PayPal account to your bank account is an even riskier business. Hackers have access to your monies in that account. It happened to me, but fortunately things worked out ok and the bank restored my money and overdraft charges. If you attach to a bank account, do not keep a lot of money in it and get yourself a special Visa card to use exclusively on line that has a credit limit of only $500.

  10. Yeh, I control my dreams a lot. If I don't like how the story is developing, I just correct things to suit myself. If there is a mistake in the dream, I correct it. I change people's identities frequently. Like if I am talking to, about or doing something with someone that doesn't fit right, I switch the personage to somebody else. Most of my dreams are in the morning as I am trying to wake up. They are very realistic. All my senses seem to be intact. The one thing that is really fun is when I fly. In my dreams I can fly like a bird and see everything from a bird's perspective. It is really neat. I can say I have never had what you call a nightmare. When things start getting unpleasant, I just change the situation to something pleasant. Sometimes when I am trying to wake up, I have frustrating dreams. In them I am trying to accomplish a simple task that is escaping me. It becomes so maddening that I wake up just to stop the excercise in futility. ^_^

  11. Hmm, I just have to vote this trip.

Somehow I really like SkyStormKuja's entry. I especially love the color combination. My only critisism would be that the text seems to clutter things a little too much with all the color going on. Perhaps just the name would have been simpler in effect. I would have softened or smudge blended the background to make the egg stand out a little more. When I first saw this enty I thought we were all toast.

Truefusion's entry is cute. I get the chick/bunny that I think most people missed. I have to say the background is not to my liking. Seems a little too techy for the subject matter. Also agree that the font used is not clear enough. Things are better balanced than SkyStormKuja's. The overall thought is very cute, though.

As to the comment about smudge brushes on mine, I use Paint Shop Pro, and don't have a clue what Photoshop smudge brushes do. And I did place the flare behind the text to fill in the black void, but maybe I should have softened it a little.

  12. Hi again Echo_of_Thunder (John). I have a friend who has Spina Bifida who is, I think, 40 ish. She walked at a younger age, but became wheelchair bound as she grew older. Not what you want to hear, of course. She had trouble with quivering legs and had some nerves severed to stop that. She also has scoliosis. Her left arm and hand are paralized from a birth delivery accident of some kind. She buzzes around in her motorized chair, seems to have resolved her inner demons caused by her condition and is one of the happiest people I know. We live in a town of about 6,000 where there is little help for her, but somehow she manages to keep up her spirits. The local dial-a-ride makes getting around a little easier for her. There is no help group for her specific conditions, but she attends a local church group which is very supportive.

It is wonderful to hear that you are able to walk after so long. Just goes to show that if you never give up, GOOD THINGS CAN HAPPEN.

bhavesh has already given the lecture about rules. Just in case you missed something you can use the links just above my sig to learn all about Trap 17. You can expect no pop-ups and lots of traffic here. The people here are friendly and helpful as well.

Come back and tell us a little more about yourself and your site. What do you have on your site besides weather? If you are having trouble with your introduction, perhaps this will help.

Look forward to seeing more of you around the boards.

  14. I gave up on organized religion a long time ago. To give my reasons would be redundant as others have already expressed most of them. Having someone preaching hell, fire and damnation to me is really not my bag. Neither is having them beg for money or dunning me for 10% of my income.

I have my beliefs, but I don't shout about them or try to convert people to them. I don't need anybody intervening on my behalf. I would rather communicate directly. I don't need anybody telling me how to interpret the bible either. I am intelligent enough to figure it out for myself. I really dislike bible thumpers. If someone wants to exchange ideas with me, I am open to their thoughts on the subject. Keeping an open mind to the possibility that somebody else may have a better grasp on things is always best. We learn daily from the exchanges and experiences we have with others. I try to live by the Golden Rule, which you may laugh at, but it has served me well over my lifetime.

For those who don't know what the Golden Rule is:

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

  15. Well shut my whining up. After reading about all your problems, sheepdog, I am  for whining at all. My problems don't hold a candle to yours. Hope things get better for you really fast.

As to the goats, well that is why I never raised them. We stuck to horses, chickens, rabbits, and cows (beef and milk). Had various dogs and barn cats over the years, as well. Never had the rain problems as our land was pure beach sand and percolated great. However, it didn't grow things very well without a lot of compost.

Here is a ((((((((((HUG))))))))) to try to make you feel better.

  16. Haven't you thought of moving up to a broadband connection at all Mich?

yeh, *******think, think, think, think******** Living in the middle of a national forest leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to technology. We just got touch-tone phone service. AT&T is not available here yet, as are none of the big ISPs. Cable TV is available, but cable internet access is cost prohibitive in our small community. Something like $60/month. Like, our telephone service has doubled in the past 2 years. Michigan government taxes us to death for telephone service and tacks on more charges for the 911 services. New puter is on my wish list, but somehow travel seems to come first when budgeting expenses. When I have traveled enough perhaps I will afford a new puter, but until then it is on the back burner as is the hope we will catch up with the rest of the world of technology (fat chance).

  17. Well, now it's my turn.

My dial up connection just kept getting worse and worse, and finally no way at all to connect to the internet. I finally decided to bite the bullet and go with satalite isp. Only problem is it is going to be over a week before the hook it up. So here I am at the public library pounding away with what little time you are allowed here online to keep my web site up and all my credits from running out. I could probably fix the old computer if I had a modem, but I am not sure that is what is wrong with it, and I hate like the devil to pay good money for a modem that I will only need for a week or so anyway. It's awful to be broke all the dang time. Even more awful not to have a computer I can check a dozen or so times a day in hopes of selling something.

Hey, somebody else who is on dial-up. My sympathies are with you. My connection seems to be getting worse as time goes by instead of improving as promised by my ISP.

Despite that, sounds like a bad day. Running out of ink messes my days up enough because the only time I ever print anything is when it's for something important. But have the auto-feed mess up too!???!!

Called my local puter specialist and he advised me to get a new printer. Mine is as old as my puter and both are lame. Auto-feed cannot be fixed.

I'll not be redundat about spamming and rules. You can use the links just above my sig to learn all about Trap 17 if you still need to read about things. I am not into gaming, just graphics. Do play with Doom once in while, but that is very outdated.

  19. Having raised cattle for beef, the same principal is true in the production of better quality meat. The first cross always seems to produce the best quality cuts of beef or veal depending on slaughter time. Michigan State University has proven this principal over and over again in their cross breeding experiments over many years.

We tried our own experiment and crossed a Limosine bull on a Jersey heifer to get a dual-pupose cow, like the Durham (Milking Shorthorn). Our attempt was thwarped by the birth of oposite sex twins, however. For those of you who don't know, opposite sex twins in cattle are sterile. Since the heifer was not fertile, we couldn't breed her for the milk. We did end up with delicious steaks, tho. Both of the offspring got their size from the Limosine which made for plentiful meat supply. We were able to get some supply of milk from the Jersey mother even while she was nursing her twins. She seemed to produce plenty of milk for all of us.

Thanks for the explanation about cross breeding. Seeing it in layman's terms for a change helps.

  20. Going by my real first name.

Does your name begin with: D

Once you get it into your head that you want someone, you move full steam ahead in your suit. You do not give up your quest easily. You are nurturing and caring. If someone has a problem, this turns you on. You are highly passionate, loyal, and intense in your involvement's, sometimes possessive and jealous. You are very sharp & talented often with sense of humor. When people bother to look deep inside they cannot resist what they see. You are stimulated by the eccentric and unusual, having a free and open attitude. You get jealous of other people and lose your temper.

    No way.

    Going by my forum name.

Does your name begin with: M

You may appear innocent, unassuming and shy; but we know that appearances can lie. When it comes to sex, you are no novice but something of a skilled technician. You can easily go to extremes, though, running the gamut from insatiability to boredom with the whole idea of love. You can be highly critical of your mate, seeking perfection in both of you. It is not easy to find someone who can meet your standards. You have difficulty expressing emotions and drawing close to lovers. You are often selfish, thinking you are always right no matter what. You never give in. Winning is your prime desire- at any cost. You often forget friends and family and you live for the moment.

This would make St Mike and I alike (using his real name and my forum name). Me thinks not.

We did better with the color Personality Test.

  21. Hello Jordan aka:Stricken Posted Image and welcome to Trap 17 from Mich, in Michigan, USA. Well, if you count the Great Lakes there are lots of coasts. To which are you refering?
