you gotta bring back the backhand and the belt. enough of this modern day "i don't want to hit my child because it'll make them a bad person" bullcrap. Backhand them in the supermarket, belt them if they misbehave, make em dig a hole if they complain about work. classic punishments that work.

Is 21 Y.o. Old? Is 21 year of age considered old?
Chez replied to FLaKes's topic in General Discussion
Dude, i can just imagine you at your 40th. Checking every crevice of your body for age spots, white hairs, the random wrinkle that won't go away. lol. No, 21 isn't old. 21 is the perfect age. heck, you can buy beer and make yourself feel young all over again as you stumble through the streets in a drunked stupor. -
there are some pretty sick people out there. blame the media, games, tv, politics.... nah.... something about those people just go against human nature and can't be attributed towards anything natural.

well you can't get to morrowind or solstrim (spelling?) from the cyrodiil province. In fact, when you get within about 100 feet of the border of another province, you run into an invisible wall and a "you can't go this way. turn back" text pops up on your screen. But hopefully future expansions will let you travel throughout the continent, interconnecting each in one ginormous game.

Really, really, really nice! It's hard to come across any flash site so well designed and though-out, let alone a clan-themed one! 10/10 in my book. way to go

*furiously clicking text* AHHH!!! no link!

Just an idea I was talking about with some friends. Seeing as Oblivion is set in the cyrodiil continent, perhaps any future expansions of Elder Scrolls will most likely be the other provinces. Imagine the new Elder Scrolls game coming out taking place in the Frostgard province (or w/e the province is), but it's interconnected with the Oblivion province. So you could walk between provinces. Eventually, the whole continent will be able to be traversed! War of Warcraft does this already with their "instances" so why wouldn't Bethesda attempt a similar expansion cohesion between past and future games? It would certainly be great to travel from one shore to the other without having to pop out one game, install the other, and start over again from where you left off from the last one.

Chez replied to lairz's topic in Computer Gaming
when i get my COD2 to work, I'll scrim. I've beaten clan groups before single handed. Not bragging (ok, i am), but most clans out there purely suck. Hope you break the mold -
I prefer winrar. it keeps all the files archived in the right heirarchy whereas winzip would just thorw all the files in the same directory. But in defense of winzip, I only compress files when I have a heirarchy such as folders and subfolders, etc.

They left a message on my voicemail saying something about me having the "skills they need." Don't think I applied for a job with one of their firms, but their webside kind of looks like one of those annoyingly masked pyramid schemes... or something besides what it should be. So has anyone ever heard of "Technisource"? http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Thanks in advance

I think he's the most hypocritcal person in the world right now. In fact, he still is 'cause I can't find someone to replace him. Like the co-creater of South Park said "He had no problem cashing checks that ripped on other religions" (more or less the correct quote). And scientology is *BLEEP* anyways. It doesn't have anything to do with science other than it was created by a science fiction author (that should give it away to anyone that it's complete bumpkiss!). *ahem* but I'm glad he left. Chef kinda was a pointless character and was phasing himself out with the new and improved cartmen. Oh man, I love the new cold-heartedness neo-nazi he is now! LOL! So good ridence, and as Kyle said on the scientology followup episoid: We shouldn't be mad at Chef, we should be mad at that screwy club he joined that scrambled his brain.kudos south park, keep on the path, don't give in to "religions"

Regardless of what book(s) you are "recommended" in college or by friends, none I found more helpful for a beginner with limited or no programming experience than a book I found at the local used book store for $2.50.The book is entitled "Teach Yourself C in 21 Days" from Sams Publishing, [C] 1994. Yes, it's old but it's C --> not much in C has changed.Heck, at amazon, it's only a buck 90!I'd say most of the 'simple' questions in this forum and the other C forums I've visited can be solved by just reading the first couple chapters. It goes through I/O, various tags and overall code styles/questions. Pretty simple stuff that easily can prepare you for college courses or complex coding later on.Just thought I'd throw this out there as it helped me tremendously and figured I'd pass on the knowledge.

I think there wouldn't be enough enzymatic activity in individual garbage bags unless you were to have a solution of them sloshing around inside (would make for interesting distribution/sales). Generally, spraying the landfill heaps with the enzyme solution (much like watering your lawn) would be better cost/result. Also, these enzymes often release methane gas or other gases. And even though we all want garbage and trash levels reduced, filling your kitchen with methane gas wouldn't be practical. Now, garbage bags that would be uses exclusively in the dump, that would enclose a dozen or so normal garbage bags, that contain an enzyme solution could be practical. Perhaps a bacteria that digests petroleum products would help with all the garbage bags too. :blink:I like your thinking, and I've seen bags with little lyson packets inside them to make them smell "better" so I'm sure they're on it!

There's no such thing as studying. kinda simple, but it sticks. Just review what you learned at the end of each day from each of your courses and you won't need to "study" at the end or near tests. It's sound advice, but being able to do that each day... or like me and go ADD... is nuts. it's impossible, but if you can do it, thats the key

tried different speakers/headphones, the works. I might drop $20 for a sound card but the computer's worth less than a new sound card as it is. I'll try downloading the drivers but last time i checked, the sound card didn't have any label or engraving on it so i may have to pop the HS and take a look at the core. (*sigh*) so much work for such a worthless PC. what friends will do, i guess, thanks guys

LOL! Buffalo totally owned you man! Not a good way to start your membership with hidden spam. nice try, but BH is crafty

Friends bought an old computer from some guy going into the army.Worked fine until they connected a small WalMart home theater system to it. It's about 50watts, nothing special, and can be connected to a computer/cd player via headphone jack connection. Sound died. Everythign else works, just no sound. We tried via the CD drive jack, the motherboard and the installed sound card. Nothing. So I removed the sound card and tried on the motherboard. nothing. I'm not too tech-savvy when it comes to sound. I just expect it to work when I pay $200 for my motherboards and am not used to 4-year old+ motherboards sporting an AGP slot (yes, agp is ancient to me).I'm thinking when they plugged it in, it ruined the sound card drivers. but until I'm sure of the problem and ruling out a fried motherboard sound controller, I don't want to uninstall software.Cliffnotes:working computer --> plug in 50watt walmart speaker system --> sound no workyremoved sound card, onboard sound doesn't workchecked all windows settings, muting off, sound on high, everything seems set.Any help?

English 101 I hate all the lessons of school because it's so boring. The only lesson I enjoy is I.C.T! It is the best lesson ever! I like making websites and code-related projects because it's really fun to do. Regards, Mick ----------------- Java 101 boolean enjoyAll = false, ICT = true; if (!enjoyAll && ICT) return contradiction; while (ICT){ return enjoyingSchool; System.out.println("websites are 1337") } ----------------- ^I was bored Website coding has really picked up recently. I went back to my old High School the other month to see what was going on and they actually have classes on C and javascript set up. I had to learn from a second-rate book I found in the back of a used bookstore on my own time... What I hate is the exams. Courses I take literally base your entire grade on two exams. Midterms and Finals. Lovely. Fail on and you might as well not come for the rest of the year.

So you can say you know stuff about stuff? Diversifying your field without actually diversifying enough to be considered diversifying? Interacting with the intricate bond of chemicals and falling objectsm creating a massive chemical spill of liquid ammonia and being able to explain that the liquid fell at the same velocity as the beaker containing it... thus making you the new nerd in the chem lecture hall? Or maybe they simply want you IT guys to never have a life and therefor give the CS majors a chance to get the girl (HA!)

What Was The Last Boss You Just Defeated In Any Video Game?

I don't remember your post or the events that transpired, but I can say in your defense that any language deemed unfit for children visiting the sites is inadmissable. There are worse things being sent to your child's inbox than a few bleeped over words in these forums, whether the origional word is recognized by the context or not. I suppose if your post was "*BLEEP* this" and "cracka that" or some neo-nazi anti-jew stuff it would seem to break the "within reason" part of the Vent rules. Oh well, live and learn I suppose

Did you pay by check? If you did, then he'd have to wait for the check to clear before he starts shipping your item. A lot of people get caught up on that one and give bad ratings for misunderstandings. But his response to your fair review was childish. Not only was it slanderous (or libel, w/e you consider message posting), but it was pretty racist too. Though it sounds like you're a more-than-far guy in both patience and reviewing, I'd contatc ebay customer service to report him. Last thing we need is another racist teen on ebay.

I personally see no reason why the OP was so angry. Regardless of the actions of the moderators, it would not have happened if the OP used the quotes. "The end justifies the means" It's a commonly occuring trend for people today to not cite their resources. Be it a simple copy/paste from a news article into a forum or information they used to write their thesis. I respect Xisto for making sure people don't get away with information not theirs (or rather, post credit that they did not earn). Notice from KuBi: I like to look at the date of this thread and see it's 10 months old since the last post. I think either the member has left or the issue has been resolved. Closed.
