  1. Microsoft is trying to shut Gmail down ( or at least draw people away from it ) to promote Hotmail, I bet. It's a dumb scheme. It won't work.
  2. I remember while back, seeing an application that could do this. I'm not 100% sure what it was called, but it helped read the corrupted data on disks.
  3. I really don't get WHY you people complain. It's not as if though they're coming here to be spiteful. They're fufilling lower class jobs that average US citizens don't want to do. This offers a low paying work force and helps our economy. It's practically slavery, except they're being paid. Compared to Mexico, the US is El Dorado. ( Anyone who doesn't think the US is the best, if not one of the greatest countries in the world is just trying to bandwagon, because they don't have actual opinions. By GPD, America is one of the richest in the world. We're also the most generous. ) They're just trying to support their families. I'm pretty sure a majority of them AREN'T drug smugglers but I could be wrong. The only way to permanently rid our country of illegal immigrants it to legalize the process, period. There's no other way. If they're legal US Citzens, they will have to be paid at least minimum wage. This would rid the enticement of paying them really low, so employers wouldn't bother. Why hire a person who doesn't speak engish in a major english speaking country? Without being able to get hired, illegal immigrants wouldn't have any reason to come here. Tadah. Shut up already.
  4. This topic title made me laugh. There's more of a movement where a person having a religion has to fear somebody else saying they can't have opinions or beliefs. Personally, I don't even practice religion but it's still pretty annoying that the people who do won't hear the end of it from some goth or extreme ACLU douche.Either way, I don't see why a person would have to be afraid of believing in nothing. There's no evidence to support a God or disprove a God. The logical choice is to not believe.
  5. Somebody needs to tell Rosie that steel loses at least 50% of its structural integrity at the level jet fire burns.
  6. Being able to access the internet on the Nintendo DS is kind of borderline retarded. The screen is so tiny, you might not be able to see things clearly. Is the bottom screen going to be a keyboard, that you have to peck keys with using the stylus? Come on! Lame.
  7. I highly doubt she's actually dying. I don't mean to sound rude, but this does seem a lot like a plea for attention. I've seen people do it a lot.
  8. If you really think school's that boring and pointless, feel free to drop out and bag my groceries or pump my gas. I'm not joking. I'm dead serious.
  9. Please, step away from the Kool-aid vendor. The Loose Change guy is just trying to bukkake you with stupid and see which parts you'll eat up. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ If you're really interested in point-by-point deubunking of the 9/11 being a conspiracy. World War II being a conspiracy is another laughable thing. Japan needed to be nuked. They were busy about to execute all of their PoWs and comitting mass rape and murder, which is widely documented. The Rape of Nanking and the entire "Comfort Women" issue, anyone? Even Hitler commented on how bad it is. If you have Hitler doing that, then you're probably not doing nice stuff. Unless if you support the mass raping of 12 year old girls and the eating of dead bodies of people you just killed, I'd say the nuking was justified to get a non-conditional surrender out of Japan.
  10. I didn't know ancient organic material is the "Earth's blood". In that case, "Earth's blood" is using "Earth's blood" to drive its cars. Man-made Earthquakes? Did I fall asleep and miss something, here? I didn't know we could CAUSE earthquakes, but they were continental shifting. I could be wrong, though! Earth is a pretty resiliant planet. It's been through a lot more than we humans who are far smaller than it could ever dole out. If worse comes to worst, all that will probably happen is another planet-wide mass extinction and things will be given a clean slate to start the evolutionary process all over again. Man kind is a very special thing, however. Our advances in science have been arriving from baby steps to giant leaps. Discoveries that are considered break-throughs happen every other day. We will be able to survive a planet-wide extinction, since it's very likely that man kind will make it to space before some cataclymic event decides to make itself evident.
  11. A person's personality is ultimately always changing from their relationships and reactions with other people. People try to observe others to find recognisable traits of themselves and subconciously mimic traits. This is more common between parent and child, but can happen on levels with other people. I guess a shorter way of saying this is that interactions with people usually have some effect on your personality, whether it be good or bad and you don't have much of a choice about it.In the end, life experiences and your interactions with others ultimately affect who you are and the world you're born into ( financially, socially, etc. ) will also affect who you will become. If one is born in another place and time in another financial situation, their mind will quite obviously develop in a different way and their personality and affect towards life in general will far contrast from their current one.
  12. I really don't get the point in these topics, especially if there's at least 20 of them existing already. I thought there was something against redundant topics, but whatever. The fact remains that Saddam really isn't that great of a guy. In fact, he was to put it bluntly a *BLEEP*. Genocide and the murder of innocent women and children doesn't earn you brownie points with me. Iraq wasn't such a nice place before we went in there. If anyone's benefitting from the US helping out, it's Iraq. Hundreds of billions of dollars and military support from one of the World's powers. Did I forget to mention we helped them oust Saddam? Aside from that, the only country being hurt here is the US. Every time an extremist decides that blowing themselves up in a crowded area is a good idea, we take the blame. The fact is that because we got ourselves into a mess, we have to work it out and help the country. You can't just knock out their leader and run away.
  13. What's with your inability to construct sentences? I'm no expert on the English language, but I'm certain that's not correct. Don't point at our spots with your dirty finger. You're being spoon-fed America television, due to the stations deciding to air it. Why do they choose to air it? People watch America television programs a lot. It's not that hard to connect the dots, Sherlock Holmes. NEWS FLASH: Any 12 year old claiming to be "sex crazzed" or else acting that way is obviously not 12 years old. It's a pedophile or an FBI agent. You can't whine about versions of English, if you can barely master it. Point-blank, that is saying one thing and doing another. Hypocrisy. Nature does not have enough conciousness to conspire something like that. More likely than not, man-kind will make it.
  14. I'd usually just jump up and down with ankle weights on my legs for training up leg strength. I'd do it for a while, so I wouldn't exactly go over the top with the amount of weight strapped to my ankles. It can really start to take its toll on you, after a while. 35 Lbs. is the most I've done. I might try a higher weight, some time.
  15. Personally, I think that Plenoptic's design with its size and all works better. I'm apparently alone in liking a more sleek design, though. The others are very nice, though.
  16. This would be a nifty little thing to add in if I had an Invision forum.
  17. I have a handheld SNES. It's called a Game Boy Advance and old, too. No, but seriously. I keep around my old SNES in one piece. It's still fun and stuff to go back and play old games.
  18. I was pretty psyched, until I saw the comment about the brush incompatibility.
  19. It's out already? Geez. Here's to more years of screaming at my computer in frustration, I guess. Thanks, Microsoft. That is, unless if they manage to get something right this time around. Jurry's out.
  20. I personally do indeed think that pop-up advertisements are a bad thing. Not only do they disrupt whatever you're doing, but they're also flat out annoying when they call open some window that's hard to close. I don't see why they can't just keep them in the website's layout and not be off of the page, unless if they're trying to execute something that will ultimately wind up installing some weird spyware like cool web search.
  21. I smell a scam and/or spyware. Personally, I wouldn't do this. Anyone else can feel free to. It's not my problem, but just thought I'd throw out a fair warning.
  22. It really depends upon the virus. Some can, depending what the hardware is and how much control the actualy software can have over it.
  23. This really doesn't bother me much. I use WinRAR for all of my archiving needs. This might sound like a very stupid question to ask, but is WinRAR also vulnerable to this exploit? :|
  24. Google AdSense is pretty common knowledge and I'm almost one hundred percent certain that there's already topics and an entire forum here on Xisto dedicated to it. Thanks for sharing that, though.
