  1. I've tried a few of them and my chice comes down to two of them: Nvu and HTMLGate. The first is pretty popular but it can be pain in the a** sometimes due to the dumb auto complete and auto code creation from the previes. Man I sometimes have an urge to break my PC coz of this software. But otherwise its super cool. I used it sometime back and ut must be better no. I can't really tell. But the thing is FireFox compatible and som I love it. Sometimes can be a resource hog for an HTMl editor. The tag views are superb. I would go for HTMLGate if I wasn't so demanding and a simple previe in IE would go for me. In both proggies files can be opened in tabs and stuff. So its upto you to choose from these two!
  2. Well the poem's just one side of the story and I think its a very limited angle to look at the whole emotional matter. Anyways I haven't had any gfs (yet) coz I'm a lil bit too shy!
  3. Hey thanks for the proggie sean. Thi' is much better!
  4. Yep, I aslo like Yahoo! Briefcase, its pretty good for simple usage. The oublic share and private sharing features are also excellent. Plus they offer space for photos too and what more - Flickr is now a part of Yahoo!
  5. I had got interested in the topic sometime back and read user as well as professional reviews on the new yahoo! interface. One guy (who happens to be a programmer) was saying that he was jealoys at the folks at google 'coz of this layout and one other professional was saying that this interface has the potential of getting Yahoo! an edge over Gmail and a strong fotthold in the business. I've long been a Yahoo fan but always wanted their email interface to change and now they've done it. There will also be option to go back to the old interface if ppl are not liking the new one. Yeah rite, that's gonn be a less used feature!
  6. Had this lesson for Geography class when I was a kid. Used to hate geography. But anyways thanks for sharing the info.
  7. Thanks again folks. Hope that I'm able to find more time for learning PHP. This *darn* shool works always get in the way . Anyways, I also have a blog which I started recently plz check it out: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . And BTW abt the Yahoo! icon, I sorta like Yahoo! Furthermore I was feeling too lazy (as always) LOL - FreeSoul
  8. Well, what you gyys said is solid fact. Nobody's gonna pay for Blogging unless he's a super user or a reporter of some kind. Anyways, thanks for the replies.
  9. Thanks for the tip bro. I'l keep this in mind. Does this apply to both boys and gurls?
  10. What? No FireFox fans here? I use Firefox. Firefox is unquestionable the best browser. Its faster than Opera (believe it) and superb rendering. Its more secure and is frequently updated by Mozilla. due to its Open Source nature several addons in the form of extensions are available for FireFox which makes browsing all the more a better experience. I like Opera too, its fast and sleek and its much more than just a browser. It has even its own email clent packed with it and now they're gonna include BitTorrent support for their download manager too. The interface is skinnable and oh BTW Opera is Free now!!! I like the Notes feature of Opera and all those tiny lil features and did I mention about the inbuilt IRC chat clent?! Well, its a lot like Mozilla Suite on steroids! There's one problem with Opera, their rendering engine doesn't seldom renders pages incorrectly. That;s mainly because most of the pages are desogned to be viewed on IE but FF seems to tackle all that very well. The trends are changing and more ppl are switching towards FF. But taking just the browser component I'd vote for FireFox. I don't even want to think about IE. I hate it!
  11. I recently came across this really cool software (unfortunately not free) called BlogJet which allows users to Blog directly from their desktop, i.e post directly to their Blogs without even going to the site. Its highly flexible and is compatible with lots (nearly 15) of Blog Hosts including Blogger.com, LiveJournal, Xanga. I found this software really useful. It has still more great features like recent post retrieval from the server, FTP file upload and lots more. You guys should definitely give it a try. I simply love it - Makes blogginbg a lot easier. Visit their site: http://www.blogjet.com/ - FreeSoul
  12. The wait is over ppl. Firefox referral ads by Google are now available for users all around the globe. I was waiting for this one. Goto http://www.explorerdestroyer.com/ to download a neat script that detects browser and shows ads accordingly. This'll be a great boost for Mozilla too. - FreeSoul
  13. I dunno how about the details of site selection. But its really good news to hear that they have higher pay rate. That'll give Google a run for their money. And the competition will benefit the advertisers and customers alike. Note: Yahoo! own overture now. Way to go Yahoo! Methinks Yahoo! is gaining its old life bit by bit. What do u guys say?
  14. Yeah, I hate em too. Why not place something like clicksor ads or something instead of them. And those smilies make me wanna puke - FreeSoul
  15. Thanks for the support everyone. Really appreciate it. Didn't know my site was this eyecatching. Anyways, I'm still taking my scripting courses and would make it a blog when I've finished. Else I have to code each post from scratch LOLz. That'll be a good waste of time. Now i feel like going back to it thanks to you guys. Am really happy. Just hope Yahoo! doesn't sue me or something - FreeSoul
  16. Well yahoo! has also started their own version of the pay-per-click system and its called Yahoo! publisher Network. It is still in beta and one can get accounts only through invites. Just apply for beta testing and you'll get the invite sooner or later. I got one but currently it only supports US users. I've seen the ads on some big sites now and they look promosing. There's a Ads by Yahoo! text on the border just like Ads by Gogle. It also hows content based ads and to tell the truth if it weren't for the above mentioned text I really couldn't make out the difference between Adsense and Publisher. Just check out http://imageshack.us/ to see these ads in action. Looking forward to its full release. What do you guys say? - FreeSoul
  17. I hate it when these things happen and my mom is too sensitive about these things. *darn*!
  18. Hi,I just got Orkut yesterday and it looks pretty cool. Haven't tried much though and don't have too many friends. o I'm out to make some and I thought I'd start here. If anybody's interested I can invite you to Orkut under the sole condition that you'll add me as friend! mailto: ramu.premkumar@gmail.com if you are interested!- FreeSoul
  19. Well I don't have that much a connection. I'm having ADSL 2 with 256 kbps speed for approximately $12 a month. There is a 1 GB b/w limit during day but I have an unlimited night time. I get around with it quite comfortably.
  20. Seeing this section I thought I'd post something I cooked up when I was still taking my HYML lessons. But that was a while ago and I don't update this site anymore. But what so many people liked about it is the design. So I though I share it with you guys. Don't criticize a me for t6he poor coding. It was just a Friday evenings work. Even I had forgot about it. Anyways enuf with the blabbering and here is the url: http://akhilsite.50webs.com/ Plz take a look and leave your replies. Thank you, - FreeSoul
  21. My bets are on PS3. With PS2 and Xbox competetion Xbox had the lead in technology but PS2 had the lead in the sheer number of games available. But with PS3 sony will have advantage in both these sides. I heard somewhere that more than 160 games are already in developement for the PS3 and that;s imply sweet. Its just like Bill Gates said " We have a Ferrari and they(Sony) have a Ferrari. But we start our Ferrari's before they do to get some lead". Well that's the only lead they are ever gonne get coz the Xbox 360 simply raised thehype for PS3 and @Bill they got something way better than two of your Ferrari's put together.- FreeSoul
  22. What next? Light sabres. I'm a big Star Wars fan and was thinking of light sabres when I saw this Topic. Nice info though.
