Well, I was kinda disappointed with my upload speed but shocked with my download speed. I thought my download speed was only 6Mbps but it turned out to be 7.9Mbps; very shocking indeed!
I prefer AMD over Intel. AMD processors doesn't throttle as bad as Intel processor does. And best of all, AMD processors don't get over-heated as easily as Intel processor does.
Well, in my oppinion, I think linux is more for advance computer users. Beginners are recommended to start with windows as it's easier to understand.
I myself use windows on my laptop and linux fedora core 4 on my desktop, mainly cause I use it as a server. I find linux to be more stable compared to windows, and best of all. IT'S FREE!
I prefer desktops over laptops. Mainly because they can be easily upgraded. Laptops are good for people who are always on-the-go. But I myself have a desktop and laptop in my room and the laptop is what i always use. I use the desktop as a server.
the first computer i ever owned was a Pentium 1 back in 1993 or 1994. It's processor was running at 100MHz and with 16MB of ram. 4GB of Hard disk space and a 4x CD-ROM. Back then, that was considered as one of the best there ever was. B)I still keep it in my store room as remembrance
I think most people do overclockings through the bios. Just changing options here and there.
However, I only tried overclocking once. Made a 2.4GHz northwood run at 2.8GHz with copper heatsinks. Temperature stayed around 30celsius.
I'm currently using cable internet with a download speed of 6Mbps and upload of 768kbps. Works fine for me I guess, cause I have no complains about it...YET
