I try not to worry about them, although I know they happen all the time XDActually, sometimes I get upset at -not- being labled XD; When a new person comes into the cafe at school and sees my group of friends hanging out, they are all generally labled as 'geeks' right off, because of how they look and act, but people give me a weird look like I dont belong, because I'm an outgoing female, and I guess that doesn't fit the standard most people think of XD;If all my friends are going to be lumped together, I'd like to qualify for that label, also XD;;Really, it's helpful for describing people.. if I tell someone who doesn't know her that my sister, "Dresses kinda goth, but is really a cheerful girl," it's a quick and effective way to describe someone.As long as you don't rely on them so much that it keeps you from getting to know someone I dont think there's any harm in them ^^;

I wouldnt worry about it too much ^^;It's not like you were sitting around doing nothing, in the first place.. someone was talking about a girl he liked, everything was positive.. then you said something mean about the girl... so her friend said something mean about you.. and I can't imagine the insults ended there ^^;;Maybe if you wouldn't have called the one girl stupid (even if she is), the other girl wouldn't have had a thing to say to you.Aaaaaand.. if even she had just said it out of nowhere, I still wouldn't worry about it.. some people are just like that, and there are a lot of worse things that could be said than that. If she continued to bash you over your religion, and without being provoked, then you might want to do something about it.. but that doesn't seem to be the case.Try not to worry so much about little things ^^~

(Haha.. I've tried to reply to this a million times, I keep getting distracted XD)I am actually taking 18 credit-hours this semester.. as I have for the 3 semesters previous (17-19). Between that and a full-time job (so I can pay my rent and not, you know.. starve to death).. it really is quite a hassle XD;;I dont really have any solutions.. you just kind of wade through it. I figure I had lots of fun in highschool, and I'll have more fun when I graduate.. so I can buckle down and 'waste' a couple years with studying.Sometimes you just have to take a day off, though.. get a day off work/school and sit around and do nothing all day..... Then return the next day and bomb your math test because you neglected to study XD;;;;; (Your results may vary )

I think I'm a nerd, and I do my best to uphold this standard.. but I -am- a girl, so somehow it seems like I dont fit it XDI do my best to fit in with the computer people here... but sometimes they act weird around me because I'm a girl.. or too cheery, or... not lazy enough? ("Rhia, you need to perfect the art of sitting still for hours, playing a video game, with only caffeine to support yourself.. stop moving around so much, real geeks don't have that kind of energy.") It's very confusing ^^

..heh.. I remember when I was 6 or so, my dad remarried, and of course, my new stepmom took his/our name. At the time, it seemed pretty offensive to me, and I was quite sure that if I ever got married, I'd keep my own name, or make my husband change his.. it just didn't seem fair.But now, somehow the idea seems kind of.. exciting. I actually wouldnt mind it at all. ^^

This actually isn't totally.. right. I've seen studies before (that I can't look up at the minute to confirm, being in class) that if some types of animals (I believe they used ducks, but again, school firewall..) are raised and kept exclusively with animals of their own gender, they 'become' homosexual. If a clutch of eggs is hatched and there are 8 ducklings, and every one of them is male, and they never encounter a female duck, they will turn homosexual and attempt to mate with eachother. However, due to laws of probability, this rarely(/never?) happens in the wild, sooo.. maybe this is our influence, after all XD; ..I'll look it up when I get home tonight, if someone doesnt beat me to it ^^; (I just thought it was interesting, when I heard it..)

I have to agree with him.. I could fill a TB easily.. I'm dying with only 120GB.But then.. I remember when I only had a 20GB HD, and didn't think I could ever fill it, so.... who knows. Even if you dont think you need a TB now, you will some day.. ^^;

Ah, this is great :B3 of the girls at work went on diets for their new years resolution.. in order to remove the temptation, they got rid of all their chocolate... by giving it to me. Oh, the most smooth and silky Dove chocolate.. it was the perfect thing... for this month XD

The college I'm attending seems to teach only majors that are generally picked by males.. the population of this school is about 1 female for every 15 males. At the best.I'm a girl. Quite often, I'm the only girl in my class. And oh my god.. the teachers are all constantly trying to get the guys to be politically correct, and to not use sexist terms, and to.. not offend the girl?I don't care, it doesnt matter.. "postal carrier" sounds silly, please just say "mailman", "trashman", "mankind"... anyone offended by words like that probably needs to get ruffled up more often, it'd be good for them ^^;Stupid political correctness ^^;

Hmm.. I would love to be in the computer club, or start up an anime club or... join any club at all, but I dont have the time. Guess my full-time job will have to be my club.. it's like.. the Poor Kids Club, haha XD(Actually, I'm in Phi Theta Kappa, but I dont think anyone knows it, since I'm almost never there.. and that doesn't really count anyways ^^; )

Although I have a sunny disposition, the clothes I wear tend to be dark.. brown, blue, and black. So.. I guess those are my favorite colors ^^Blue seems to be a popular one XD

Hmmm.. well, I just started Linux class Tuesday.. and here I am, replying on a computer running Fedora Core 2 o.oThe teacher gave us install CDs and a blank computer and just.. let us go crazy. 15 minutes deciding what to install... an hour waiting for it to install... and here I am, connected and playing with Firefox o.oEveryone says the install is a pain, and the GUI is bad.. but when I launched it, I was actually surprised at how much it looks... a very lot like Windows XDOh well.. maybe I missed something o.o

Hmm.. this thread got bumped up from a long while back, eh?I guess the laws have changed some, since then.. but not too much. Actually, Missouri (where I live) keeps passing laws against *happy* marriage, although I guess the general population of this forum seems to be alright with it.. maybe it's because there are so many people from other countries ^^Actually, it seems like every time I ask people, the ones in my generation are for it, but the older people seem to oppose it.. and since the 'old' people are in change now.. I guess we'll have to wait another few years until we get old enough to start changing politics, ourselves.(Although my dad says that when you we grow up, we'll understand things better and our views will change.. then we'll all change to opposing it, too.. but I don't quite believe that ^^; (I think that by 19, my views on something like this are about .. where they're gonna stay ^^))

I dont like the dark ones, mainly the dark blue.. because they don't match any tops o.oWhich is weird, since almost everyone else said.. just the opposite XDThe 'dirty/brown' types dont seem to work well, either XDSo I guess.. mine are almost all light-grey colored. But not too light. I'm very picky o.o ..but once I find a pair I like, I wear them until there are a million holes in them. About when my friends tell me they can see my panties and they wont be seen in public with me anymore is when I have to give up.
