Helping out in a foundation that my father founded. Being in a Discussion about social issues and Human Rights
  1. If you have problems with bad sector, your physical drive will start to deteriorate. Usually when the windows system files touches any areas with bad sector, it will totally destroys booting. Both bad sector and boot sector errors are pains of the neck. What you need to do, download BartPE Portable CD Booting Windows so that all your files on the hard drive can be recovered. Actually, it is good to have it on hand since it is compose of 3rd party freeware and open source software that could help you with diagnosis in hardware and software.
  2. I stick myself with the 90s and 2000 era in music. The genre I do love to listen so much is NU-Metal. Yeahm its a bit loud for my age but I feel so much comfortable with all the screams and distorted Drop D string. For once, the combo between rap and rock seems to mix well and for the extremes, my driving has never been that exciting. Here's my favs bands! great 1st and 2nd albums.. newer is not much the inspiration though. 1. Korn2. Tool3. A Perfect Circle4. Limpbizkit5. Mudvayne6. Slipknot7. Eminen8. Factory 819. Black Light Burns10. Sound Garden
  3. heres my list.Firefox 3 - internet browserVLC Player - DVD and other video format playerAVAST Home - One of the best freeware antivirus on the planet FFDSHOW - Audio/Video Decoder that extends what your Media player can doutorrent - Micro-mini Torrent client for safe P2PBricopack Win Vista Inspirat - Makes XP look Vista without the bloatInfraRecorder - CD/DVD burning softwareMirandaIM - IRC/Messenger Software All these I install to all my system and it perfectly works well even on my older machine running on Pentium 3 with 256mb RAM! Whats nice about it is that it has all the features needed for almost any job. The rest, I would go for the commercial software... There is no better alternative than the original like:MS Office vs Open Office - Open office suffers compatibility and user friendliness Corel Draw vs Inksacpe - A lot of the tools is still needed and shortcut controls to be consideredPhotoshop vs Gimp - Well, photoshop is photoshop and with all the plug-ins... Its worth the investment
  4. I do love the fact that these players can do especially with VLC that could play DVDs on its own but the fact remain that the real deal would be its decoder. which is what FFDSHOW can handle most formats so that the native media player could run most format without bloating too much program in your system.
  5. I do come from a very catholic and muslim religious country and in many ways, influences me and my being a person. Yes, now that I am also an agnostic, part of me still has fears of dying. Though I already have kids, I give them the independence of choosing their beliefs. There is nothing wrong about religion and beleiving or disbeleiving God. The only point of its existence is because people need some sort of a barrier to keep them reminded about social norms which prevents them from being insane or lawless like other animals. Probably in my later years, I will searching for a religion which will comfort me on my last hours. It would be painfull but, as what Darwin "I am not in the least afraid to die."
  6. On most cases, Battery on a brand new laptop dies out after a yearor two of use. This is really normal and if you are still on warranty, replace it ASAP. I have a friend who is A+ on electronics and he makes this improvised battery pack using 2pcs Lithium Ion Power Bar placed on a the casing of the battery pack with all the cells removed. Powerbar It fix so well on the pack and it even last longer than the original batteries.
  7. Um um... I don't know what to say. I belong to those people with bad grammar. Except for spelling. I am using Firefox and I have this red line when I write down wrong spelling. Now, next time, I'll just be brief to what I am writing down. This time, I have no excuse. Been a admin in my forums before, Its not that strict since almost everything is allowed from foul words and all. I love this peaceful place.
  8. 1. Dead or Alive - Nice chics, good graphics and gameplay!2. Rival School - Another good game I like. The concept is good but I dont know why it ended up in the sack3. Marvel Fighting Series - Great gameplay, fast and a lot of excitement even from its 2D predecessors4. Street Fighter Series - Nothing beats the original5. Samurai Showdown Series - Best Sword fighting game I have yet played, Nice storyline and gameplayNot on the list is Mortal Combat - I didn't love the concept of gore fighting, extremely violent even from its fist release. Tekken - I dont know, I just didn't like the way they have cloned Virtua Fighter, but I didn't like the concept of boxing like fighting game either(my opinion only).
  9. This seems to be a pretty good alternative. Or it would also be nice to have an edu with a .ph which is the country of origin of the school, darn, I never think about that in the first place. This one I could do. All I have to do now is to get more credits. I do think building a school site is good. Profitable in many ways. Not only because you could build a network of people on campus but also Alumnus members, friends could reunite. Some kind of dual purpose. Yet still. If theres a better way like still getting the .edu, suggestions are still open.
  10. I do not think that ROX exist.. The next in line would be ragnarok online 2. It was quite a delay in its release from its announcement way back in 2004. It has been in beta stage since 2006. Such delay pisses off much of the avid fans of Ragnarok Online fans. In RO2 South East Asia (English), it was to be open back in summer, but still further delays kept fans from even getting the feel of whats ahead. Probably because Ragnarok 1 still has quite a lot of users and this more could divide attention to those who are already on top. RO2 South East Asia
  11. How much is the server population? I do hope that real people populate the sever, not bots.
  12. I recently stumbled upon using OSX on regular PC.. I know, this is old school but before when I tried PearPC, It was so darn slow, I didnt get to install it. My desires to tryout OSX came to me again and tried to look for new alternative, and so it was, OSX86 from this site http://www.insanelymac.com/. I read on most of there forum but I still wonder how fast does it boot and can most application run flawlessly. Never get to join their forum though, I dont want to get the impression of being a lamer. But does anybody here have already tried it. I do want to hear about the performance and compatibility. Please also describe which distribution you use and the specs of the system you had used. Thanks
  13. great site. nice colors. but I don't get it. Why on earth will I need such service. Unless I'll be doing things illegal. Anyway, I click on your google ads for being a sport and I got a perfect color motif on my next site.
  14. I have also tried globaltestmarket.com It seems that after a month, I only two surveys and still pennyless ever since and I dont think that $12 is enough for being a member for almost two years. Such scams that these site bring. How can they cash in on us?
  15. Paypal is much more of a standard. I love the service and its fast and easy right now because merchants can now accept credit card payment directly without using other gateways or application. Whats cool is that its easy to build site that accepts payment or ask payment from anyone. I don't about the negative review since its useless to subscribe to other online payment schemes that could only steal much of your money.
