  1. I've got both MS Train Sim + Auran Trainz. They are both different but I prefer MSTSIM because you have better and more realistic driving and firing than Auran and the keyboard commands are easier to learn.
  2. I like classical, pop, jazz, blues, some country, some pop, some rock.
  3. Try bridging the connections in network connections.
  4. You can get a free domain at: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It's really great my website address is oswestryringers.net.tc how simple is that? You can evan get .at.tc
  5. I have finished my last year at the Marches School, Oswestry, Shropshire, England, UK and this year they introduced Inpero. Which gives the staff complete control of any computer in a classroom whilst they can view them all at the same time. It includes interaction with users, locking computers shutting down, starting up message writing. I agree that some control is necessary in schools but when you have got a piece of software which bans any site including search engines because of a word or phrase such as a google search for Haley Westenra which came up with the word Youtube was banned instantly. I think that it is one thing to ban a website but not to prevent searches this is in my opinion over the top. Inpero also has the feature of blocking all websites apart from those on an approved list, which I have known to just block everything and at times it just locked people out for no reason. It also has a number of security issues which we found out about a couple of which are: running "Firefox" bypasses the word blocker as does loading internet explorer without addons. All in all Impero is a product with a lot of potential but it needs a lot of sorting out. One way of finding out security issues is using students such as myself to mess about with the software. if only!!! How nice it is to finally have a rant!!!
  6. If you are conecting the computers directly you need a crossover cable. If however you are going to connect the computers via the router you need to have two patch cables.
  7. On the logon screen where it shows the domain name in a drop down box click on this and you should see "this computer". Simply logon onto the computer rather than the domain.
  8. Just get a copy of microsoft's virtual pc of their website.
  9. All those Win XP Home users who have looked at the "increase your internet connection by 20%" and have been disappointed well I have found the answere. The bandwith limiter is a service known as "bits" or "Background Intelligent Transfer Service". If you disable this your connection will increase.
  10. Try copying the network setup disk from an xp setup disk or if you haven't got one you can download it from: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  11. My router created "Internet Connection" in my network connections on all my pcs and laptops but it is still directly from your lan connection, so it is nothing to worry about.
  12. All you need is a set of cordless phones.
  13. If you want one computer connected at any time the internet is being used on either computer then all you need are two lan cards and a crossover cable.
  14. Try http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ my website is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ It includes mail as well!!! completley free
  15. Once the laptop is reconected to the domain just select "this computer" from the drop down box on the login screen instead of your domain. This works because I set up a domain and you can still view the other computers on your lan.
  16. I tend to use google but I do sometimes use websearch because it searches some of the common search like google, yahoo. I have occasionly used Ask.
  17. The only problem with this is that you have to have the system with the hdd switched on all the time. If you get a hub you can get a special adapter for a ext hdd to convert it to ethernet.
