You should have mentioned what brand was it. Anyway, it's ASUS P4SD-VX. It's support all AGP based video card. So you need to let us know what range of video card you want, and budget. Are you just looking for replacement for your existing broken video card? Or you want to improve your gaming experience. For the latter case, it would recommend changing monther/cpu/ram all together. Merely upgrading your video card while still using APG and DDR ram is quite limiting. It's a waste if you intent to invest in an expensive APG card, cause it won't be usable if you upgrade your system next time.

Using Blogger To Add Content Can I get rid of the header?
faulty.lee replied to frameworker's topic in Search Engines
You can. I'm not changing the Blogger's Code. I'm just adding a bit of javascript to the original template, to detect and hide the element of the top blogger's bar. -
If you read the article, third-party content actually means anything reside in another server. Normally you won't host your own content in another server, would you? They also rely on certain keyword to be sure of what to block, for example "banner". They too need a white list of keyword to avoid blocking the wrong content. I've been using adblock-plus every since i started using firefox 2 years back. Now it feels weird if you use another person's firefox without adblock-plus, it suddenly seem to be crowded with so much colorful ads around. Anyway, i've been very happy with it. It did help me save quite a lot of data bandwidth for not loading those ads content

I don't think you can actually change the specific folder, as in your case macromedia's flash player. Anywhere, you can try dig into the settings of macromedia flash if you're developing flash content. Or you can also move the while application data folder by change %APPDATA% from the registry. Refer to this link http://www.microsoft.com/err/technet/. That way you can move the heavily fragmented folder to another drive so that your C will require less defrag

I don't really believe 100% of horoscope. But there's scientific explanation to it. I've read somewhere, that horoscope is about the position of extra-terrestrial planet or stars around us and how it effect us. When we're born with specific group of stars nearer to us, it actually affect how we behave mentally and emotionally. Something to do with mind wave. That's why horoscope is based upon stars name and it's appearance during the time of the year. How they come out with what will happen to you everyday, that's a bit far fetch. Like Darasen said, ppl just fill in the blanks on those vague hint.

Mysql Persistant Connections? Are they allowed here?
faulty.lee replied to bob3695's topic in Web Hosting Support
Well, why do you actually need a persistant connection to MySQL? And at the same time require "extremely" large amount of connection. Normally you would only need either one. If you need both, either your programming is not well done or you're really dealing with huge amount of data that you actually need a full fledged database server. -
Using Blogger To Add Content Can I get rid of the header?
faulty.lee replied to frameworker's topic in Search Engines
I added this code to my template codefunction remove_nbar(){document.getElementById('navbar-iframe').style.display = "none";}<body onLoad='remove_nbar();'>The bar will appear while the page is still loading, then disappear. I'ven't try to write in a better way to make it not even display at all. You can find out about the element using firebug, an extension for firefox. It's really a useful tools. A must have tools for web developers. -
For me, firefox rocks !!! Especially version 3. Much faster javascript and overall performance. The new bookmark system and the "awesomebar" - the new title which allow searching of url and page title from your history. It's just awesome. Memory wise, yes it still takes up alot, but some your minimize it, it will minimize it's memory usage immediately as well. For me, when opened up to 20+ tabs, it took up 250MB, yes quite a lot, but when minimized, it went down to 60MB. When you restore, it will just at goes back to around 80~100MB. Well it still depend on what kind of pages are you visiting. If all 30 tabs are youtube, then it will be definitely more than 300MB

I think you're looking into making another youtube but with different UI right? If so, you should be looking into Macromedia Flash. Youtube's video is powered by flash player. The video is stored as flv (flash video). Although the later mp4 is offered for those with faster connection speed, which has much higher quality compare to flv.

Suggestions Needed For Latest Ycc Bot Maker Breakdown
faulty.lee replied to tansqrx's topic in Programming
Looks like you've done most of the thing i can think of doing. Doesn't look like i can help much here. Anyway i'll still give it a try.I got a few more "crazy" suggestion. Well, I'ven't touch anything from your side yet, so not sure if this is workable., and it might sound stupid.1. Login to yahoo without SSL? I've tried turning off ssl suport then it won't allow me to login into yahoo. Not sure if there's way to disable the requirement so "older" browser would work. That way you can capture and compare the packet properly.2. When you're trying doing a packet comparison, due to the fact that ssl encrypted the data, you can't see it's content. But, isn't the public key that's used to encrypt the data is viewable in the browser. If not the browser also won't be able to encrypt the data. I know it's useless to have just the public key, then again you can use the same key to encrypt the data you generated, and see if it resulted to the same output. This might be tedious, considering you need to try a few different timestamp to get it right.3. Save the login page of yahoo, modified the post action, point to a non ssl localhost php page, to capture what it's trying to post. Then you can see if it's the same as what you expected.I think the 3rd one might be more feasible. This sounds like a HUGE workaround to solve a very simple problem, which have yet to find another better solution :)EDIT: i wonder if YPOP! is still working? -
Well, Darasen, nicely said. I wish i could make as much as you do. Btw, I've seen similar cases, some even much more stupid than that.I do practice asking the question to whoever contacted me to do a job, "why do you need me". If it's a simple job that anyone else can do, I'll pass. Or else it will be harder to negotiate for a better deal. But the sad thing is, pay is much much lower here in Malaysia. I'm actually planning to explorer jobs opportunity in Singapore.

Suggestions Needed For Latest Ycc Bot Maker Breakdown
faulty.lee replied to tansqrx's topic in Programming
I look into that in the coming few days. One i think i can suggest is using packet capturing tools, maybe wireshark(free) or commview(my favourite), so study the diff in the data exchanged during the login process.I've got wireshark installed, will try that do. I'll post the result here. -
Success Formula With Mccodes How do i do the Success Formula?
faulty.lee replied to SparkyX's topic in Computer Gaming
I'll try to interpret this directly word for word. Math convention => 1 = 100%, 0.1 = 10% and 0.01 = 1% (WILL * 0.8)/2.5 can be written as WILL * 0.8/2.5 0.8/2.5 = 0.32 LEVEL/4 = LEVEL * 1/4 = LEVEL * 0.25 So, the whole thing can be written as: Success % Formula = (WILL * 0.32) + (LEVEL * 0.25) By interpreting that, it means (what I think, but don't take my word for it): You success is determine by 32% of your will to success and 25% of you level (experience maybe). Not sure where did the remaining 43% goes, maybe luck? -
<a href="page.php?variable=foo "bar" foo">foo "bar" foo</a>Just change the outer double quote to single quote would do <a href='page.php?variable=foo "bar" foo'>foo "bar" foo</a> I've just tested on firefox3rc1. It should works on other browser as well

Suggestions Needed For Latest Ycc Bot Maker Breakdown
faulty.lee replied to tansqrx's topic in Programming
I would really like to help. I did a same tool to login into Xisto and fetch the remaining point, so can I can keep an eye on it without loading the Xisto main page. Anyway, do you mind to show me the section of the coding which is doing the login? Or better still, strip the login coding out and put inside a mini project, so we can just try out that portion. -
So, previously by logging in into the domain, it does works? What was the domain? That's unusual as well, since the domain server is not at your network, how to you login into domain? Well, you have to try the "Administrator" account. You should be able to get the password from the guy who setup/install the windows on that machine. If you can't, there are tools that can reset the "Administrator" password, it's call "chntpw". It's a linux program. We normally run it off a live cd. Well, you try the proper way first. If still cannot, I'll upload the cd image, so you can download it, and try.Good Luck

Using Regular Expressions To Parse Functions
faulty.lee replied to turbopowerdmaxsteel's topic in Programming
I'm not that good with regex. I do have a suggestion, maybe you can count for matching '@(' and ')@'. Say for every '@(' you increment the counter, then for every ')@' you decrement the counter. Like reference counting in C++. When counter is 0, you need to look for the next function, instead of skipping it. Get the last position/index of the last matching '@(' ')@' pair, then can either chop off the matched set of '@( and ')@', the match the regex again, of use the match function where you can specified the starting position for matching (but you loose the regexoption). -
Darasen is also right. Simply raising the core clock without raising the vcore can already increase the current consumption, thus "more electricity run through the processor". That's why Intel has SpeedStep while AMD has Cool'n Quiet, they simply reduce the cpu multiplier when the cpu utilization is low. These help to cool down the cpu when idle. You need to set your power profile to anything other than "Always On". Under "Always On", the multiplier is locked to the highest value, even when idling, it will not cool down as much as when it lower the multiplier. This also help to prove that clock speed alone can increase current consumption.

Actually the title should be "The Best P2P Network and Program"Well, I like the ideology behind edonkey network, where you upload will be credited with the client that you upload to, so next time you download a file from that client, you get a better priority. You need to keep sharing file as you go to boost you download speed. Another thing I like about edonkey network is that everything is so centralized, where you can search for files in the program itself among the servers. Also, to share some files is merely by selecting which folder to share. No need to built torrent and upload it somewhere. Of cause there's down side to this network concept, like the danger of server being track down and shut off, it happen before, and will happen again. Anyway, I'm currently using eMule v0.48aAs for torrent, I know it's fast. But at times, it doesn't encourage others to keep sharing the file. I can share nothing, but still download the file I want, then remove it from the program and store it aside. So leechers can always reap the benefit off the effort of others. This makes it ended up that older files or less popular files are hard to download.Actually lately I don't use P2P much. It takes to long to download now compare to before, as our ISP is throttling P2P transfers. Nowadays I download from rapidshare. I have a premium account. I know to others it might sounds ridiculous, but for me it save me time and hassle. Before the ISP throttling, I get to download a movie (700MB) in 1 to 3 days, max 7 days, I know that's slow compare to others, our ISP is slow. With the throttling, it's a week to a few weeks. Where as with rapidshare, I can download a few movies a day. Normally about 3 movies a day. I can crazily download for a month, since I pay monthly, and I'm sure not be able to watch them all within that month, then leave the rapidshare account aside(not paying the subsequent months), watch those movie for another month or 2, then start the process over again. If I stall for a month alternately, I still get to keep the point I collected by paying for the service. After 3 payment, the point is enough to be converted into another month of service. Not bad actually.

I don't think SendInput will work. It's for sending keystrokes. I've look into WM_KEYDOWN - https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms646280(VS.85).aspx and keybd_event of user32.dll - http://www.devx.com/vb2themax/Tip/19094 The 2nd example is for VB6, i believe it's not too hard to convert to vb.net. From there converting to c# is a lot easier. WM_KEYDOWN will require you to use SendMessage or PostMessage API to send the key, read the MSDN doc for the details. If you need to know p/invoke for any particular API, goto http://www.pinvoke.net/ They have the declaration for vb.net and c# there. If the above don't works and you need a much lower level of sending keys, you might want to look into SetWindowsHookEx and WH_KEYBOARD_LL. These are for hooking up low level key press like alt+ctrl+del where you can never receive such event from the system in your normal app. From there, you can know how the message system works, and how to emulate ones Let me know if you need more help, I can free sometime to try out some code later Good Luck

I didn't know WinsockXpfix does work on Win2k. I did use that to fix my problem. Thought it won't work on Win2K, thus I search for alternative for you. If you can successfully ping the domain name, then the DNS is working, as it need to resolve to IP before it can ping. Putting IP into the address bar might not work most of the time, except for big site. That's because most of the site are shared hosting/virtual host. The IP address will tell the network where to send the packet physically, but the "host" entry will tell the receiving server(like apache) which virtual host to send the request to. Only those site that host a single domain name under 1 IP might work. I believe google does. Not sure about the rest. If not mistaken, Xisto also works using this concept to be able to host subdomains all under 1 server, having 1 IP only. Looks like you don't have much of choice here. You can either test it out with a fresh windows install onto another partition, or reinstall your windows. Worse case, format and install

Other than that, you can also try Eclipse. http://www.eclipse.org/. They're written in java, thus it's multi-platform. I'm using it in windows, but you can also ruin in linux. It's great for developing other programming language too. Plus it has many plug-in which can really boost your productivity.

Win98 disk won't help. Those are dos based disk actually. Since you can still surf the net, might as well download a copy off the net, and burn it into a cd. It's illegal no doubt, but all you need is to fix the problem. You can search for "winxp rapidshare.com" in google. You'll landed with a lot of option. Go with the same type for your original copy. If you have a SP2, then download those with SP2. Don't get those with fancy add-on. Just the original will do.

For your wireless-N card on your new computer to work in N mode, your router need to support N as well. Or else it will be running at G as well.
