I dont know if this one was the right place but if it aint, Mods please shift this thread. I was over at Xisto the other day while asta was being shifted to another server. I was going through a few posts and tried searching for the word "Xisto". Many topics came up with the word Xisto and many of them ( believe me ) were very encouraging, as asta is said to be one of the most intensive Information Sharing forum. May it be Computers or anything related to Life. One Post that caught my attention, and i am sorry Opaque if i disobeyd any rules in this. I mean no offence to anyone, but just wanted members to know what went through in the making of Xisto. Its long , but its worth the read ! I saved this in a text file, and thought of posting it when asta opens up again, so here goes. Well. i have nothing more to say, just that Keep up the good work, to all the Moderators, and Admins of Xisto. We, or atleast I would make an effort to help this place in whatever way i can. Yep , dead shure, cause installation of OS 9 requires a G4 and frankly my dad dosent wana upgrade. He like the way things go in smooth, no matter if its 10 years after OS X released. So i was thinking of changing things around for him. I dont think its just my dad, i mean many people have this mind set that once things are running smooth, y bother to upgrade or change etc. When things get nasty and an upgrade is needed, then comes the bad part lol. Everything seems to be the same like any other nokia default symbian phone . Well anyways, nokia has this weird but annoying policy that ithey DONOT add all the features in 1 phone EVER ! I had a 6260 and hell it was good, but whats the point ? It was released after 6630 , and it had a vga cam. Aight thats fine, Now i have a 6630, everything is superb but therz no radio. Argg. There are options people would love to have and some wont, but having a phne with everything is a dream. I dunt think this can be the ultimate nokia phone, 1 of the many reasons : 30MB internal ??? yikes .. an N90/91 has 4GB internal ... moreover a 7710 had a 90MB internal memory. Expandable to 2GB ? tell me you did not get this from nokia's site. because if they say expandable then ONLY nokia original MMC would be supported. that means HIGH cost. If you ever wanted to buy a kingmax ( one of the chepest and the best MMC's out there ) and you found out that your 2 GB card is not supported, i bet you wouldent be so nice with your phone after that lol. USB 2.0 ... POP-Port interface guranteed. Which is hell slow. A normal usb 2.0 connection like the one in n-gage would make things faster. n-gage was 1.0 but with the same output and 2.0 , it will be faster than the Pop-Port interfact. Thats just what i think about this mobile, but overall, N92 or N91 takes the lead. Everything you need, but few things still kep missing. Norton Ghost is the best as far as i have heard people say, infact MANY people use it. Its good and safe too.As for the image making, i suggest you install the the OS and all the stuff you need on one computer and use norton to make a ghost of that drive. Save the ghost image on a USB HDD, with the files required to run norton on system boot. You will have to read the FAQ of norton for that. Then boot from you USB HDD and go accourding to the screen.A Ghost takes half the amount of time you would need to install a full OS with the required softwares. I dont think you would come accross a problem of a corrupt image as long as your HDD stays intact and secure.Hope this little info of mine would help, but you will have more feedbacks to decide. ;)RegardsDhanesh.

If its Flash sounds you are talking about, i suggest you upgrade to the latest version. or just go to the flash site and download again. I would also suggest you to d'load FireFox and check the websites that you think dont work in IE. If they do in FF then your have a software problem with IE so just re-install IE itself ;)RegardsDhanesh.

OS 8, the most stable out of all i guess ?? am i wrong ? Well i have a G3 so err .. upgrading to OS 9 or X is not possible for me. But having tried out OS X i belive that X is more better in user compatibility and graphics. Can i install OS x on a G3 ( A PowerPC upgraded to a G3 to be precise ) Regards Dhanesh.

I assume its the movie you want to make IN the game ? well do you have the option of saving it ? cause most of the stuff that you create in a game are stored either in the game install folder or the user temp folder.I havent tried making a movie out of a game, but i know that you can , cause many online trailers of games are recorded while playing. so you could use one of those and make a whole movie. then cut the part you want with a video splitter or ulead video studio.If any one has names for these game recording softwares please share a few. Well you can manage to keep up with credits, it dosent take much time, just a few mins of your online time if you are an IT freek ( like me ) .. but then incase something like what u mentioned happens, then asta provides you with an option to "buy" credits for an amount, u'll have to ask an admin about the further details. But i guess even if you take the buying the credit option, its worth it. If your credits get over on the other hand, then you will see a default server page that says " Site Temperary down" or something like it. then when you have the required amount of credits, your site will be unlocked. didnt quiet get your question, but assuming that you need to transfer the files to your new pc. You could take your old Hard Disk and connect it to the new computer, or if you have a Hard Disk with the new computer then remove the new HDD and connect it to your old PC , transfer the required files and put it back in the new pc. If all this is a pain, then burn a CD or use an external HDD or multiple flash drives If you are talking about uploading files then i assume they might be few and those can be transfered through burning a CD or using a flash disk. Wooo, 3 months after i started this post, and i still have seen just 1 trailer How is the movie people ? has anyone gone for it yet ? Is it worth the watch ? I am not that keen watching it in theaters, but rather buy the dvd. Ahem, I beg to differ, not cause of an ego, but sometimes these inventions are used for good purposes. Now using them on a piece of cloth on body to prove that it works is pretty non-ethical. Advertising folks nowadays use their brains in a weird way. But i am shure that this object can have many ethical uses too. Like szupie said, they could test it on human skin, and if that works, its going to make things easier in future in the field of medical. Lol , thankx guy. I was named dhanesh when i first registered in august, then i had this mind change and requested for a nick change. My earlier user ID was not correctly registered for hosting, as in my forum name did not match the hosting DB etc .. long story, they had to manually register me for hosting, so i came through slight problems in credit transfers etc. Either ways i didnt have anything running on the hosting, but i did enjoy spending some quality time around here. Yeap Ramesh, Its true, you do get free hosting ( by earning credits ofcourse ), I Registered in august, got accepted for hosting, but there was a problem from my side which didnt let me complete the registration successfully, Opaque was kind enough to help me out with the process and yeap ... i got started in no time, afterwhich i upgraded to package 2 where in Opaque and m^e were of great help. Not just considering 2 people out here, the moderators and Admins on this site are very helpful and would try their best to help you if you are stuck anywhere whilst in the process of being hosted and also after getting hosted. Rules are pretty simple, as guy mentioned and you are off with a hosting space for free without ADs or pop-ups. Phew .. so many replys i least expected people to be curious about mobile phones. Anywayz, i am cyph3r, just writing with a new username. Ok now to answer one by one .. I will explain how things work tommorow after college... 1) Wow, I didn't know that it is possible to change the font on a mobile phone Well neither did i , a few play and search on the net gives me weird ideas and different things to try out. Mostly because the phone i am using is a SymbianOS. Thers no limits to experimenting 2) Did you write this program youself? How do you know the source code to the mobile phone software? Do you have access to it? NO, i did not write the program myself. I found it over the net, helped with testing and shared with everyone around. I am no cool programer geek, half the simple programs i write in college, i need help from m^e bhai, so that one rules me out. Umm .. actually there is no source code involved , its just about replacing font files just like installing new fonts in windows . 3) Does changing the font do damge to the phone? Will it crash it? If your phone is SymbianOS and is somewhere around the range of a 6260 or 6630 ( OS version 6.1, 7 ) then yes it works on all phones that support this OS version and around this range, you do the math. If you have a model you need to confirm , let me know and i'll tell you. Well worst come worst, if the phone may crash ( which i never have been tru ) its always safe to bake up contacts and messages via PC Suit and then experiment, believe me, if anything goes wrong with teh software, then 1 format can solve it all and give u a new phone once again. 4) Can I also change it ma Reginal language font....... Well actully no. It supports english as of now.please read my next post 5) I have nokia 7710.......is it possible on that also. Hell yeah it does .. 7710 has Symbian OS v7.0s and it does support this little hack. all you need is a file explorer program like Fxplorer or seleQ. 6) I'm not sure that I would download files that I don't understand. Or ... at the least ... I'd have to know the person who wrote them so that I could be fairly sure nothing too terribly bad would happen to my phone. Err .. sorry but i cant answer that for you , i mean u can always download files to the PC and let an antivirus check them (Norton checks for mobile installer files on a Pc for virus too now) , and as i said, INCASE , due to an incompatible phone, your software acts weird, format and ur done NOTHING can go wrong to a phone unless u throw it from a height Hope i answered all .. i'll just write in detail of how the font change works by tommorow and then u folks can decide .. All i can tell you is that you NEED to patch that OS of yours. Its been 2 years now, and i know the virus still roams around the net. Even today if i try connecting without a SP2 or a non-patched version, I get d/c or the computer restarts. My suggestion is to go to https://www.microsoft.com/de-de and search for "Lsass Patch" and download the appropriate patch for your system. Regards Dhanesh.

Ok , now since you've gone this far , then i assume that you have tried the little n00b SOS in windows. A quick search in Help and Support with the number 692 brings you some options. The last time an uncle of mine had this "not connecting" problem, i tried to figure out what did reset you modem mean, anyways it was a corrupted driver then, but i couldent manage to find that out. While writing this, i searched google and came up with this alternate solution, you mite want to try this out. Site Another possible problem mite be a PCI slot conflict, try changing the PCI slot and re-install the drivers by downloading them from the manufacturers site. Hope this helps. Regards Dhanesh

Some of the famous CMS are added to the poll list and a few non-famous yet good CMS were left out , but i dont blame the thread starter. There are like hundreds of CMS out there on the net , and searching for the best one can be a pain. Just for you to know "pedro" , some of the features you mentioned is available in a CMS called "MKPortal" , i have used it many times and kept testing it but i have a varying mind so i cant stick to one. But i think all that you are looking for in a CMS is there incl. blog. PHP-Nuke is the best , but hell slow. Believe me when i say slow because the more plugins and themes you add in the more slow it gets. CMS's like MKPortal or e107 are the smallest yet best available, with many addons and themes available.
