PureHeart posted a topic in Websites and Web Designing
I've just download Solaris from Sun Download Center. I also installed it. But I need to do some artwork with photoshop. I don't have any graphic edior for this Operating System. I don't know what to do next, Does anyone know anyway to run a Win App on Solaris or a good Graphic Editor for Solaris? -
I my opinion, the best choice is XOOP , which is not listed here. I found it very useful and easy-to-use. I'm using it for my class' website. It's a module-based portal system. Try it, I know you'll like it.

HURRY UP ! ! ! I'm a members of NetBeans community, in my recent newsletter, they told about a great offer! I want to share ot with you. Sun is currently offering users of the NetBeans platform and SDN members FREE copies of the Java Studio Creator ($99 value) and Java Studio Enterprise ($1,895 value) development tools. Take the chance now. The young developers - students may want to save their money for something else while learning some techno lesson. And I think there's no reason to miss this great offer. Which one to choose? If you want a simple, light cms => PHPNukeIf you want a complex and powerful => MamboAs as developer, I think we can choose anything. Our work is to updgare them. Both of them support module adding and have a API-interface. They're both easy-to-extend.

As a developer, I recommend Fedora Core for your system. It's great ! -
I've got the NetBeans IDE. But I can't install it on my Fedora Core. It exit unexpectedly in graphical mode. In text mode, I got a message that says : Missing INF file (or something like that). I don't know what to do. I want to do some development work on Linux now. I used to use NetBeans for years. Any one know how to install it on FC4. Please help me!I installed every package during the FC4 installation process. NetBeans should be runable on Linux, I know it can. Maybe there's something wrong here, between FC4 and NetBeans IDE.

My Site error accessing my site hosted here
PureHeart replied to finaldesign1405241487's topic in Web Hosting Support
I think there's nothing wrong. Sometimes, Xisto server down because the services need to restart (like when a new account created). Another reason is because your ISP's connection isn't fast enough and make an time-out error. You should: Wait for some minutes and retry. Use an proxy to access. (For a list, go to http://www.proxy4free.com/ ) -
I've ask for an starter package, the admin accept. But now, I change the idea. I want to keep contribute until I have 30 credit then get an Upgraded package, what can I do?

THIS ARTICLE IS FOR PHP CODERS Have you ever wondered where you visitor is? This can be done with some very simple lines of code. Intro: the basic of this technique is to detect the visitor's IP address. After that we can process it for information about the location. In PHP, there's a environment var that's called REMOTE_ADDR. It contain the client's IP address. The code is as following <?php$clientIP=getenv("REMOTE_ADDR");echo $clientIP;?> Now, you know the visitor's IP. What next. You have to process it to know where you visitor is (too easy, right?). For example An IP begin with 222.252 is from Vietnam An IP begin with 250.234 is from US You'll need a list for that.( I don't have it here.) Good luck !

Mid-Autumn brings time for kid’s fun and games. One traditional activity is the Lan Su Rong (unicorn, lion and dragon) dance.Mid-Autumn is coming!Mid-Autumn Festival or Tet Trung Thu is a happy time for Vietnamese people. Children wear masks, parade in the streets and bang on drums. Parents buy lanterns and toys for their children and prepare some tasty dishes. Special cakes are made and exchanged, and fruit is plentiful. The masks, lanterns, toys, decorations and drums are sold on streets. Days before the fifteenth of the month the street is crowded with children and their parents. In the evening, pagodas and temples, especially those temples dedicated to goddesses, are open for worshippers to light incense and make offerings of flowers and fruit and to pray. The festival also is the time for traditional games. The most interesting and animated activity, Lan Su Rong (unicorn, lion and dragon) dance, is an important aspect of many festivals including the Mid-Autumn fiesta, and is part of many animated street performances. The boisterous artsLan Su Rong dance is a re-enactment of the earth and sky duality, the yin and yang of the world. The Lord Earth, called Ong Dia in Vietnamese, is a dancer who dances around the dragon, urging it on. Ong Dia has a very round, happy smiling moon-face. He represents the wealth or fullness of the earth.Lan Su Rong (unicorn, lion and dragon) are mythological animals and tradition has it that wherever a unicorn appears, people will have peace, happiness and prosperity. Originally the dance came from China, where it is called the dragon dance. In festivals at New Year, Mid-Autumn or now events of companies and families, the dance may be performed by a group of youngsters. They clutch different shaped paper lanterns suspended on long poles. The lanterns take the shape of various animals like rabbits, dragons and fish or they may appear like multi-pointed stars. The dance troupe is led along with yellow flags, by Ong Dia, and a man carrying a pole which is topped with a round ball representing a piece of jade.Chasing the tail are kids banging drums and cymbals, which are usually mounted on a cart, to provide a loud and rhythmical accompaniment to the dance. One aspect of the dance, which draws much interest from onlookers, is climbing the tree to perform a lion dance. This originates from the traditional game of climbing the tree to gather coconuts, which is also popular at festivals.Different from the rest of the performance, the lion dance involves jumping through a fire, playing with a ball, and rolling over, all to the boisterous sound of drums.According to Nguyen Van Vinh, an old man of Trieu Khuc in Hanoi, his village’s annual festival is indispensable the dragon and lion dance. “It is the most interesting and joyful past of our festival, attracting both kids and adult’s attention”.Marching in front of the dragon is the dance leader who holds a big ball and a symbolic piece representing jade. One person carries the head of the dragon while 8 to 10 others carry the body. All of them are clad like royal warriors in ancient days, with short tunics, long pants, puttees, red belts and red turbans.Following the dragon is the lion procession, which is performed by a martial artist, a masked dancer, and a dancer playing the Role of Ba Thanh - a character of Buddhist mythology, and Ong Dia.One most important part of the dance is a ceremony in honour of village tutelary, a ceremony marked by a religious dancer, which is combined with a liquor offering rite, performed by two young men disguised as girls of easy virtue. The whole ceremony is designed to beg the tutelary for peace and prosperity for the village.Vu Van Vinh, a lion dancer from Tu Nhien Commune, Thuong Tin District in Ha Tay Province, said normal dances accompanying events are very easy, and any old sod can do them. However, only dancers who have studied kung fu are able to perform the most interesting acts of the dances. To become professional Lan Su Rong performers, dancers are required to have practiced kung fu and must begin training from age eight or nine. They must also be healthy, brave and clever.During performances, the unicorn, lion and dragon must manifest many ‘sentimental’ states, such as sad, happy or angry in their postures as they jump, breath, roll, lay about or simply stand. Performers must also be physically fit just to carry the 15kg lion head. Some more difficult techniques, like the Mai hoa thung or Lion climbing to the top of bamboo, take two to three years to master, according to Mr Vinh. The most famous name in Mai hoa thung performance is that of the Nhan Nghia Duong Group from Ho Chi Minh City. Nhan Nghia Duong belongs to the Chau Gia zen martial arts school, established in 1937 by late master Luu Hao Luong.Nhan Nghia Duong is recognised as the top performance group in the country, and is dispatched to represent Vietnam at international competitions. In 2000 at the international lion dance festival held in Thailand, the group took second place, scoring just 0.1 point less than Singapore. Not only is it fun to watch, Lan Su Rong is believed to bring luck. On the morning of the first day of Tet, Lan Su Rong visits every home and shop in its area. As soon as it appears in front of a house, the place swarms with children and onlookers. The drums and cymbals sound a salute to the occupants of the house. The unicorn stoops down, bends its head several times before the entrance door, then steps back to repeat the same gesture five or six times before beginning the dance. The homeowner or shopkeeper then presents his donations, but to make the event more difficult and exciting, he suspends his gift from the first story balcony or window from the end of a pole very similar to the bait on a fishing rod.To claim their reward, unicorn dancers must be strong and agile people, and must be good climbers. To grab the goodies, the unicorn must be elevated upon a human pyramid to the height of the suspended gift, or sometimes they get at it through the use of a one-column ladder. All the while, the unicorn dances to the rhythm of the throbbing drums while the excited crowd below noisily shouts encouragement. The climax comes when the prize is "swallowed" in the unicorn's mouth before the group slowly moves on to the next house for another donation.

No matter what browser are you using, Internet Download Manager (IDM) can be intergrated with your browser (even the new browsers that will be released in the future) By default, this function will not work until you active it. Do as following 1.Open IDM main window 2.Go to menu File\Downloads\Options 3.Check the check-box(es) that 's on the left of the browser's name 4.Click OK 5.Restart the browser. Now, IDM is intergrated with the browser. But it only work with known browser, how about the new ones. Also check Detect new Applications that try to download files from the Internet in the Configuration window. This option will make IDM intergrated with new browsers or other application that try to download files from internet. When the new application/browser is configure. Go to Configuration dialog again and Uncheck that checkbox to improve the perfomance of your system. Good Luck !

Yes, I think so. XP really slow down my PC. Switching the desktop to classic style make it faster a litte. I think the developers of MS are making Wins bigger and slower instead of faster and reliable.

No, you domain will continue working, as long as there's at least 1 dns server alvailable. The 2nd dns will be used as a backup dns. When the 1st one is down, the dns query will get the result from the 2nd dns server. This will make your domain more reliable (about 99% uptime). Moreover, you can purchase 2 more DNS to make sure that your domain is 100% uptime
