I agree with you. But it's not too bad to design a new layout from sometime to time not every time. It let's you to experiment with your creativity. I design themes for wordpress. When I get fed with my current theme I'll pack it as a download and design a new one. It will get the same treatment as the one before. The nice thing is to have a theme switcher with some themes different from each other. Like a minimal theme and a colorful theme with some nice images. Orange and grey looks cool on a white background.

That's interesting. Actually the effect in billboards is that it can increase accidents due to loss of concentration when driving. That's an equal dangerous cause as mobile phones. I like the idea of the free energy device going GNU/GPL. In this constant war of opensource vs M$ and the rest, opensource will win at last. People like the idea of something "free". From E=mc2 the source of additional energy must be mass, but I can't imagine how mass is reduced from hydrogen atoms or molecules, Even it happens the mass content of the closed system should be nullified by time.I think this is an experiment in the road map towards nuclear fusion as a safe and reliable source of energy. They are trying to build a safe alternative to fossil fuel and risky nuclear fission reactions. Fusion is the process employed at the sun to release energy. It would give us a near unlimited source of energy because the universe is mostly hydrogen.

I would advise you to dump frames. They are too old fashioned. It's better to shift to tables. But even better if you can shift to standards. Use divs and css. With frames you can get the scrolling effect. And you can do that in css. You can make the page to scroll while another element say the menu is fixed. You can do it by: #menu{position: fixed;}Sadly that is css2 which doesn't work in IE. IE is an old fashioned browser freezed in time and looks like to be struck there forever. If you are developing web pages. Quit Frontpage and use a decent editor, a text editor if you are comfortable. And remember to check your pages in Mozilla then after it works correctly check with IE and add some hacks to tweak. KHTML based browsers passed the Acid2 Test. Wow That's something new to me. Opera couldn't render that face correctly.

Todays browsers are mainly categorized as standards compliant and not. The only non standards compliant broeser out there is lame ol IE. Using CSS 2 specification is no wrong and by using hacks you can get the effect nearly in IE. The best process is develop the page to look good in standards compilant browsers like Firefox and other gecko browsers. Mozilla renders the attributes selection and also border radius. So you may get links to external pages in different colors and rounded borders in mozilla but IE would ignore link coloration and also show borders square. A careful design will make a presentable site to all browsers. Tables add up to the size of your pages. The use of divs and css to style them gives you pages which load fast and small in size. (less bandwidth consuming too) Toady the only things which visit websites are not browsers. There are screen readers, small screens (palm tops) They see pages differently, but using liquid layouts without tables you ensure that they also can visit your site. Also css gives you a mindbogling array of designs limited only by creativity. Sometimes ago I used dreamweaver. But then I shifted back to handcoding. I use css for styling pages. So coding the page by hand will give a better control when writing the stylesheet. I tried to view my hand coded pages in dreamweaver and it made a total mess of the structure by adding yellow buttons for each comment I make. The coding view was better. But now I'm used to handcoding that I'll never look at WYSIWYG editors. A good texteditor with syntax coloring, a helper for css, and a color sampler and maybe some code references are all what I want. I use emeditor as my text editor. You should really check out stylemaster. It's a powerful css editor with previews. It's great they are updating firefox. As I read, the Firefox 1.5 beta will only have bug fixes and no other notable features. I normally don't update firefox as they release new versions. I updated to the latest version because it supported RSS. And thunderbird I'm still on 0.8!Right now I'm downloading Thunderbird 1.0.6 It looks promising.Die hard firefox users might not shift again. But some are likely to switch to IE if M$ introduces RSS and tabs in IE7. Just because they are lazy to dowload another browser. Mozilla should take that note and be a step ahead of M$ by introducing some new features. Still Firefox doesn't have the power of Opera browsers. I would like the day they make me shift to firefox from opera.

I'll recommend you use Emeditor. It's the best in my opinion. I use it to view source of web pages and other files. I'm a handcoder so I really appreciate it's syntax coloring feature. It was in the news last month. He was addicted to gaming. He also quited his job to turn into full time gaming and played World of Warcraft until he was killed from stress. It was from stress and lack of rest he got a heart faliure. As the news report on TV said, he had only 3 hours for rest and food each day. That was really unbelieveable. I can't think that a game could go that addictive to make people play like that and die.That man should have some mental problems. Anyone sane will never quit their jobs to game.

I also believe that extraterrestials exist. They don't have to be lifeforms like humans and have superior intelligence. They may not have any clear intelligence and they may be like bacteria, but that is life. The goal is to find life in places other than earth not intelligent life. When we find extraterrestial life and confirm it, then we can start looking for intelligent life.There is a wide spectrum of conditons in our universe. A planet with oxygen and water is habitable for humans. But it may be poisonous for another form of life. In earth bacteria had been found in extreme conditons such as hot water springs and cold antarctica. Oxygen is not the only source for metabolic processes. Bacteria using methane, nitogen instead of oxygen have been found living in those extreme conditions. On earth they have not been dominant because the environment of earth favored the oxygen breathing organizms.But in another planet they may have a favorable environment and they may rise to prominence and form intelligent life forms.I don't believe those sightings of aliens and UFOs. They are just imaginations of people and might be done to get attention. All those sightings have some thing in common, the object is like a spinning saucer, and the alien is the typical one on science shows. That shows it.

I would recommend fedora. I tried to install fedora core 1 and it screwed the MBR but the bug was resolved in the latest versions. Fedora is the continuation of redhat. And it's geared to desktop users, so I think it's better to have Redhat enterprise edition for a server. But fedora will do.

Vegetable oil Here we have cars running on coconut oil.I've heard of cars running from polythene. I saw on tv a person demonostrating a polythene engine. He stuffed about ten bags in to the engine and started up the car. I couldn't believe that, there must be some catch. He claimed that about 10 bags will be enough for a week!He says the car will give a good solution to the ever rising and undecaying polythene dumps. But the problem is that burning polythene would be worse than burning fossil fuel.It is said that there are coal to last about 50 years after the end of oil wells. Some are opting that using coal to generate electicity instead of fossil fuel will save oil for greater needs.There is one thing we forget. Fossil fuel has other uses than supplying energy. The petroleum cracking process have 100s of useful products ranging from LP gas to tar. We will lose that all when the fossil fuel beds end. That's why I think life would be a nightmare without fuel. In the past 100 years humans have changed so much that now they are dependant on fossil fuel.Maybe after fuel is delpted and after implemetation of alternative power sources we may have a golden age on earth because of the elemination of the biggest pollutant, fossil fuel.

I agree that the world may go into chaos without fossil fuels. But the danger of relying on fossil fuel was pointed out by many organizations and scientists. We should have taken their advice and shifted towards alternative power sources. Also If not for nuclear power, the remaining fossil fuel must be delpted by now and we should be living in a nightmare.

I agree that the knowledge we get from these types of exploration can't be measured by money. One day mars will be populated by humans. Populating the solarsystem is one of the options for the sharp rise in human population on earth. Meanwhile mars is rich in some resources which are now dwindling on earth. The red color comes from iorn copmounds in the soil. If we can extract the iorn and purify it on mars and bring the finished product to earth, we can quench the demand for iorn, and by doing the purifying process on mars, we save our planet from further pollution.It's true that there are many problems to be solved on earth. But exporation must go parralel with that because we might get better solutions to our problems through it.

Sometimes very light colors can hurt you eyes. I'll like to have a dark shade with contrasting text color. I use various shades of blue when I design my site. I would also vote for wordpress. Blogger is just simple. Wordpress is a bit complex but the admin interface is clean and easy to use. I'm much happier with a blog. I thought of having a livejournal but I ended with having a blog. It's true that communities like livejournal and myspace have a large user base and you can get thousands of hits. But if you work with your blog and add some good content and ping some services like technorati you will get a huge amount of hits. It's nice to have visitors and read the comments they post.
