Well here is that photo at It's original size/ratio/resolution. I didn't take them at a super high resolution due to memory space on my camera. I gues you can scale it to the propper size that you need. I don't have any tatoos myself, but I have designed a few for friends. I just don't know if there is anything I would like to have on my body for the rest of my life. I am also very indecisive, so I don't know if I would get one or not. I have actually been thinking it would be fun to get a 3d diagram of the C8H10N4O2 molecule [caffeine]. I am sort of a coffee enthusiast. Not quite sure where I would put it. Actually I DO have a tatoo but, it was part of an art accident. I had just got through using a graphic pen with a sharp nib on it (the kind that you dip in an ink well). I was on the bus and one of my hands was holding a bunch of little canisters in my lap. I reached into my bag to grab a pen, but instead jabbed my finger straight onto the pen nib. I was still holding all my paints. My friend was sitting next to me, so she yanked the pen out of my finger. When I go thome I cleaned out the wound the best I could and scraped out the india ink that was down there but it was impossible to get it all, so now I have a permanent black blob on my finger. It is actually kind of funny I think. It is sort of my battlescars of art and although it wasn't planned it does say something about me, as any tatoo should.

I have had these symptoms before too. They can be a little freaky and leavwe you sort of dizzy. I think that one thing that can cause it is lack of iron in your blood, which could be caused by anemia, but more probably it is just caused by diet. I would suggest eating some red meat (if you eat meat) or taking iron supplements.Also I have noticed that it happens more if I get up form a laying position on to my feet very quickly and all the blood sort of rushes down. Maybe try getting out of bed a littl eslower in the morning. Sit up, wait a littl ebitand then get on you feet.If the problem continues see a doctor.

Well Dreamweaver comes with a helpfile that will explain it's features and how to use them, so if there is somethign specific that you do not understand you can search the help file. I would suggest that you learn at least basic HTML too. Dreamweaver writes code for you but sometimes you might need to tweak it and other times you will need to know how the code works in order to make things work properly. Dreamweaver is a great tool and it speeds up the production of webpages, but it isn't perfect and it helps to know the code. As mentioned above, http://www.w3schools.com/ is an excelent place to learn HTML and other web languages. I would suggest that you just sort of dive into the program and mess around. See what you come up with. Exploring and familiarizing yourself to the application is important when learning any new program.

It is a digital camera that has the capability to be adjusted manually. It is a little inconvenient to use the manual settings though since they are not adjusted on the lense but in electronic menus. It is a new camera that I got at the begining of this year. I still want a real manual film camera, since both my previous cameras were stolen about 2 years ago, one of which took was a film camera that took amazingly sharp pictures. I am just happy to have a camera again. I have had some training. I graduated from art school a few months ago and although photography was not my major I did take two photographics courses (one black & white and one fashion photography).abhiram, if you would like, I could find the uncropped image if there was a particular one that you want to use for a desktop. I just throught the cropping would tighten up the composition a bit.warbird, actually their photos on the campsite website are a bit bland. I just might do that as long as they give me credit. They are state beaches so they don't really have much of a budget I would assume.Quatrux, what country are you from? What type of stones are common there/ I really enjoyed scavenging this beach for interesting rocks. Most of the beach was covered in stones, all nice and smoothed from the ocean. We cracked open a few big ones by throwing them at other rocks to find some crystals inside. I brought a few rocks home but when they are dry they loose their luster. Today I actually put them in a bowl of water to see them wet again. It's amazing how much color and shine a little water can bring out of a rock.Vyoma, I did take some lighter photos of the sunset, but that last one there I liked because of the darkness, I think. Although some of the other ones that I took were quite nice, alot of sunset photos just seem very generic to me. I thought that that last image was a little different than most sunset pictures I have seen. There was a sense of mystery, maybe even a bit eerie.Anyway, yeah it was a good trip and we sat on the beach until it was dark out, played some music, and then built a nice big campfire and cooked some chicken, with fresh rosemary and sage that grew all over the place there.

I just thought I would share my photos that I took this past weekend when I went camping at a state beach near Santa Babara, CA.

I normally render stuff out in Soreson 3. It does a pretty good job at compressing while keeping the image quality very good. Although it doesn't compress as much as other ones, it yeilds much better quality than alot of them. Divx is ok, but it tends to do some weird things to the image especially with fast motion. Partso of the video where things are moving quickly, Divx comines multiple frames all into one creating a messy "trail" and also make some big pixel thing sometimes.

FTP clients are used mainly for connecting to servers to upload download or manage files. For example if you need to put your web page online, you need to upload those files to your hosting space. Although there are services that allow you to upload files via http on a web page, FTP is normally faster and easier in my opinion. There are quite a few free FTP clients out there that will do just about anything that needs to be done with an FTP client. I hope that helps.

It might help if you provide us with a link to the site or at least the source code so we can see what is going on.

If it is just simple forms like blocks, you could to that quite easily in Adobe AfterEffects if you have that.

I am a freelance designer and illustrator. I don't really like to limit myself to any one discipline, but most of my work falls into stuff like print design, static digital design/digital illustration, motion graphics and broadcast design, interactive design (web, flash, etc), typography/type design, photography. On the side I do a little music production and fine art and such.

Well the flash file can be put in your page with the EMBED tag which can be used as simply as this: <embed src="http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/; width="550" height="400"> but normally one would include more code to make the file appear and operate exactly how it should. Flash will generate this code if you use the File > Publish feature. After adjusting the publish settings (file > publish settings) it will generate an HTML file for you with all of the relevant coding. Then you can copy that code from the HTML file into your web page code. All you need to upload to your host is the SWF file.

It looks good, but I have a few suggestions. First off, like you already said make the border fit around the button area better. Also I would either move the button slightly to the right maybe, because it is so close to being lined up with that vertical stroke that it is creating some tension in the composition. Also the little black space near the top left is a little distracting. Either move those circles back a little to hide it or pull the circles out more to make the space bigger. Right now it just looks like a mistake. I like the clean graphicsimplicity of the piece. As far as the coding for the buttion, I think an image map would work well. This allows you to use the whole image as just one image, but designate a shape on the page, that is hyperlinked. This page explains it well: W3 Schools: Image Maps Another way would be to slice the image up in 9 pieces and just make the centyer one linked, but this might not seem as proffessional as the images sometimes look weird when they load in pieces.

Yeah GIFs work best with flat colors and limited color palletes. It's possible to get a good looking video in a GIF but normally the file size is too big to use on the web. Sometimes you can get away with decreasing the number of frames and speeding it up. Also sometime if you carefully edit the color pallete and try to limit it to a range of certain color you can optimize it. For instance with this video, one could limit it to mainly to a few blues, greys and reds.

This isn't limited to film. The same goes for just about anything else, like music, clothing styles, etc. Yeah it's annoying but that is just how our world operates I guess. Some of those movies were marketed towards specific groups of people, which might explain it has become a part of that groups trends. I will admit that I do like Requiem for a Dream. Creating your own brushes is actually quite easy and a very good way to make your work more interesting. When people over-use the brushes provided with photoshop, it can make your work look sort of amateur. So here is how you do it: Go to File > New or press CTRL N Set the Color Mode to Grayscale For this example let's set the background contents to "Transparent" You can make it any size that you want, but it's probably a good idea to not make it really small. If you make it too small the brush will only look good at small sizes and will blur at larger scales. Click ok Now draw whatever you want the brush to look like. You can do whatever you want. If you want to use the brush for textures you can even paste in little pieces of close-up photos of rocks or whatever. When you are done designing the brush, you need to make a selection of the shape of the brush. You can use the magic wand tool to select whatever shape you have made, or you can use the lasso to select just part of the object you made. When you have made your selection go to Edit > Define Brush Preset It will prompt you for a name, so give it a name. Now open your brushes pallete and your new brush should be in there (at the bottom of the list)! WOO YAY!

I am looking for a freeware application to convert fonts between different formats. Mainly I need one to convert Mac fonts to PC fonts and/or Opentype (new cross-platform format). I do alot of freelance design work and work between Mac and PC alot, and the font issue is really becomming a frustrating problem. I was using a trial version of the newest Crossfont and that worked perfectly, but the trial ended. I suppose when I get some money I can buy Crossfont or Transtype, but for the time being I really can't afford it. Does anyone know of a freeware application that might help me out?

Microsoft actually has a free utility to speed up your boot time. It has helped me in the past. I forgot what is was called thouhg. Try searching for it on the microsoft website. Also there are registry hacks to get rid certain things like the "windows" screen that appears before windows loads. You can also try switchins the login screen to the old classic style and eliminating unneeded tasks that execute on start up (run > msconfig). Also if you have alot of fonts installed, this can greatly slow down your boot time. Try storing your fonts in another folder and only install them as you need them. Just be sure to leave the default fonts in there and any fonts that are required by your applications (or just ones that you use frequently). Clean your registry. I fyou have installed and unistalled alot of programs you might have alot of random crap in there that isn't needed. I use a program called TweakNow RegCleaner for this.

Yeah this is correct, but there is one more step to make it even easier. Photoshop has a batch prcessing function. After recording the action, go to File > Automate > batch conversion (I think). Make sure your new action is selected in the appropriate menu and and set your setting for the source and output folders, etc. Then you just let it run and it will apply the action to all of the photos in the specified folder! I used this function alot when I worked in one design department. Although I was a designer I worked with the phtographers alot and we had to process and sometimes even print hundreds of photos. I would just do the first one and than batch process them all. Then I could go take a coffee break and draw in my sketchbook, while the computer did all the work.

Chris Cunningham has some really awesome work. He has produced music videos for bjork, Aphex Twin, Prodigy, etc. Many of them have strange and or even surreal elements in them.
