  1. I Think You've Missed Your First Year At School . Capitals are only to be use at the beginning of a sentence and for names ... NOT FOR EVERY WORD, because that's annoying. It's a bit different in German, I know, but even they don't use capitals for every word .
  2. haha The onty thing that is missing are solar cells to power the fans . The air-conditioned bed looks cool too, tough I still prefer and ordinary fan to blow air at me to cool me down while sleeping (+ the noise and breeze of the big fans keeps the musquito's away)
  3. I refuse to use any Microsoft product when it comes to making web sites . Frontpage and Word are the worst programs for making webpages because they use their own kind of HTML ... they don't follow the W3C rules, they make their own and implement those rules in IE so it only works in IE.I've used to use Dreamweaver, but when I started to learn HTML I dedided to use Notepad++, it's a lot faster . Must say tough that most of my webpages aren't very complex, that's why they're possible to be made in Notepad++.
  4. iiiiiw ... I already get sick only by looking at the photo . Yes, I'm one of those people that don't like roller coaster ... and I hate that because they look so cool
  5. I recently started using Macromedia Flash for making a simple flash website for a friend's project. Nothing too fancy, motion tween here, motion tween there and a few simple actionscripts . Most difficult part is the mailing system, it'll be a bit complicated to make that in flash completely ... still thinking about how to make it
  6. Can't wait to see the first photos taken with this beast . Noise levels should be pretty low with this camera, tough I doubt that even at ISO6400 things will start to look quite crappy . Does anyone know how they boost the ISO upto 25600 ? Pixel binning or some other technique ?
  7. I've never used PSP before, so it's quite obvious that I'd go for photoshop (because I've already used it and I know how to use it -a little bit-).If you'd added The GIMP I'd go for that option, because that's what I used the most .
  8. Why using a batch file while there are plenty of tools on the internet available that can do all this things for you ?

    Learn Html

Nice ... not . Honestly, it should have looked like this <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN""http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/; <title>Testpage</title></head><body> <p>Hello World!</p></body></html> That's the minimum you should have for a webpage...
  10. This is something I hate about Americans (sorry guys), you can sue someone for about everything ... it wouldn't surprise you can even sue someone for breathing . Why should we sue McDonalds ? Are they forcing you to eat their fat meals (and btw. McDo doesn't only serve food containing a lot of fat), are they forcing you to even enter their buildings ? I didn't think so, so sueing them for you being fat because they serve fat food is like sueing Canon because you look ugly on the photos their cameras make ... Kinda funny you know, you live in a free country and yet you can't say no to McDo ...
  11. Space is unlimited, file size is limited to 1Gb (and upload time is limited to 10 hours). Bandwith is good, unlimited (meaning, there's no real number, but when it gets too high they'll probably delete it ). A downside is (and I've only discovered this recently) that FF regularily queus files for deletion. I don't know why (large files not being used for a while, or maybe files that use too much bandwith, or ...), but it's fairly easy to get them of the deletion queu .
  12. hellow, that's a nice looking wallpaper if you ask me . Nice looking girl too .Only things that's stop me from using it is the flare, it's too distracting (that's why most of my wallpapers are dark and don't contain bright spots)
  13. The most obvious reason why I didn't happen on previous patch tuesdays is because the self healing system didn't fail because the conditions weren't there to reveal the bug. About the NSA, you're a bit paranoid you know, it seems very far fetched imho
  14. mine is completely random and only took me a week to learn it , it's in my fingers now.
  15. The idea is great, tough it would be rather useless because a capacitor can't store enough energy to be usefull. Besides, there are portable battery chargers, but instead of shaking them, you have to wind them to create energy.
  16. It's not because you don't see anything going wrong that there hasn't gone something wrong. IE probably just crashed when you closed and that's why Vista wants to send a report. Just turn the error reporting off and you wont have to problem anymore . Also make sure you have the latest patches and bugfixes installed.
  17. Indeed, getting your teeth cleaned at a dentist isn't good foor your teeth, it's better to brush them daily. @moonwitch: isn't it dangerous to brush your teeth with pure H2O2 ? This stuf reacts heavily with blood you know (H202 is very unstable, triggering it with blood or MnO2 -if I remember correctly- makes it boil instantaneously and it dissolves in H20 + 02 ). Check out the reaction : http://www.gamefront.com/downloads
  18. You might try Xpize ( http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ ), it replaces the 'old' icons by newer ones. If you're lucky, it replaces your animation by something you like .
  19. You didn't create a standalone application, you've created a script that is interpreted by another program (php). Thus PHP is a scripting language. As long as you don't complile prior to running your application, you can say that a language is a scripting language.
  20. salt water ... iew , can't be healty if you ask me . Isn't the salt bad for your teeth ? Btw. brushing your teeth everyday keeps them white too
  21. Double advantage WindowsXP- Safe as hell as long as you use the right tools (I have NEVER had a virus on my computer !)- Fast and tweakable- Huge support available- Easy to use (for me)Vista Home Premium- Same thing about safety as in XP- Slow, but partially tweakable- Too much annoying features, but they are disableable- lots of new and handy features- supplied WMP11 is crapI'm no windows fanboy nor a linux fanboy. I'm an open minded person who knows that every OS has it's advantages and disadvantages and that we'll have to learn to live with them (or at least try to patch them a bit ).
  22. While it all sounds very attractive, I probably won't buy one of those . I currently have a 120Gb HDD and I can still put a lot of images and songs on it and I think I can continue doing this for a year or so (if I don't shoot too much RAW photos ), then I'll probably buy myself 2 160Gb HDD and put them in RAID. The 120Gb HDD wil become my external HDD. 1TB ... tsssss, who needs that much data storage
  23. Faststone Maxview, it replaces the windows image & fax viewer (and windows galleler in vista) and since I view a lot of photos it's quite obvious this is the most used.Next on the list are Opera and Mercury Messenger (=alternative messenger), speaks for itself.Others are:faststone image resizerimage analyzerthe gimpmedia player classicmicrosoft synctoymicrosoft virtualpcRMclock (for changing the FID and VID of my laptops cpu)Serious Samurize (widget, shows the cpu usage and remaining battery time on top of every app)cdburnerxpfloat's mobile agentI have a lot more apps I use a lot, but I'm not going to list all of them
  24. I don't know all of them (that's why I'm not voting in the poll), but I'd go for knoppix. I have the cd version and it's fast and has almost every tool you could need. For more general use (when you have to use linux from time to time but don't want to install it) I'd say Slax, because you can easily add and remove applications you might need. The live windows xp is a good live cd too, it's great for recovering lost windows apps, too bad it's a bit on the slow side .
