Yes, Global Warming is becoming a problem. It is the first time I've seen Toronto above 0 degrees Celsius mark during the winter and with it, no snow. Only rain! This is becoming a global issue and someone has to stop it soon!xboxrulz

Right now I'm running Windows Vista RC1 (yes, it's legit) on VMWare and it works like UNIX, like the folder structure is almost a direct copy.
Instead of doing / system, it uses the C:\ D:\ system but everyone still has their own home directory and stuff like that.
I seriously think Microsoft finally learn that UNIX is the superior system and they are trying to transition their NT system to work more like the UNIX system.
However, it's still quite slow, esp. on VMWare, so I don't know if it's going to be as laggy on native system.
Windows Vista RC 1 (Build 5600)
VMWare 5.5.3 for Linux
20 GB HDD
512 MB RAM
Update December 23, 2006: Here's the screenshot of my Vista desktop:

Windows Vista is just a copy of MacOS X. I rather get myself a Mac or stick to Linux.xboxrulz

It's a good game, but there's only one thing that irritates me, which is the audio support it has for Linux is outdated and crappy. It still uses OSS instead of ALSA.xboxrulz

well, the thing is Microsoft isn't what it used to be during the 90s when they reigned the operating systems market. They're actually falling to other operating systems such as MacOS X, Linux and now FreeBSD.Why? It's because UNIX is technically superior to DOS/NT based Windows and that they all have an opensource base. This is indeed the time where these alternative players can take a large bite in the market.Linux is becoming more "user-friendly" and will continue to be. Many of the "regular user" hardware are supported out of the box. Even gamer's hardware are almost fully supported. All we need are the masses to start shifting over to Linux and/or the opensource movement.FreeBSD is also on its way, but it's still lags behind Linux.xboxrulz

u should try to tone down the MTU to the 360 recommended MTU setting. Even I had an old Linksys, I had the MTU perfectly ok and now I have a Netgear instead, but that's not the point.Just try a lower MTU on your router.xboxrulz

nice, I can't wait until they actually get this chip into the market. If its also possible to make the storage capacity high enough, I hope it also replaces clunky hard drives.xboxrulz

true, some people are crazy enough to actually attempt to mimic a game because it just "feels so real". Some people are just that psychotic. It could be other reasons, but a person should never think that life is a game because it's not! You can't respawn after you're dead. Once you're dead, you're dead!Plus, I moved this topic to the proper location.xboxrulz

Mexican Resorts Sim ... you must earn enough money, then get shot by random Mexicans.or Montreal Massacre, the game ... which would be very creepy and stupid.xboxrulz

lol, true, some of us even think the answer to everything IS 42!Anyways, there's always going to be new discoveries. However, we must also realize we're just a tiny speck in this grand universe.xboxrulz

He was also interested in the Columbine massacre too by constantly playing a game about that event. In the game, you're the two boys who went on the rampage.xboxrulz

You need to purchase a copy of Windows XP English (yes, Microsoft doesn't have Universal languages installed just to maximize their profits.xboxrulz

IE6 is much faster than IE7, usually about 2 times, just make some css and javascript tests online and try scrolling a html file over 1mb with lots of tables or other tags!
@ Chesso
It can't be that Opera is rendering slower than Firefox on the same system on your computer, Opera loads faster, is much faster by css and javascript tests and the scrolling speed on 1mb html file is much faster and changing between tabs is also much faster.. It is just the view, when I was using Firefox as my main browser, I didn't like how Opera rendered my created websites and the gui, but now I don't like how Firefox does it
Of course if you have a fast computer, it is hard to see the speed difference, but if you have a quite older computer, say not more than 1ghz CPU, not a superb graphics card and not lots of ram, or ram not being DDR and etc. The speed difference is very different. I am usually pissed of now with what browser is better, Firefox and Opera and Konqueror and Safari are very good browsers, IE is just a bad browser. The 7th version of Explorer improved, but.. other major browsers are ahead of them.
Not true, when compared Opera and Mozilla Firefox on Windows XP, Firefox is faster than Opera. However due to the bloated GTK2 toolkit on Linux, Firefox is slower than the QT toolkit that Opera uses on Linux/UNIX.
I use a Pentium 4 2.53 GHz 512 MB RAM PC2100 NVIDIA GeForce 6600 for this comparison.

true, just like how Windows XP looks nice but it's filled with potholes.xboxrulz

Yes but it is not advanced as the new version? Have you seen the beta in action? Also, Quick Silver is a ripped of version of Mercuary board, the only difference between the two versions is that Quick Silver is a bit simpler and has a bit differnt design. Otherwise the source code is identical to mercuary. Also Mecuary is not that fun to design and does not offer great editing capablity without breaking something, trust me i know.
Ummm... read the copyright notice at the bottom. Quicksilver Forums is BASED ON Mercuryboard. They share the same codebase, we branched off them.
Anyways, I have definitely played around with PHPBB3 since it was still called 2.1.x

port 80 and 443 are important ports and u wouldn't want to close 'em.Windows sometimes ignore your settings because Microsoft "feels" that they are "critical" updates.xboxrulz
