In case you don't know, there are some awesome metal bands that mix metal music with classical music. (Hang on, don't get scared by the word metal). My favorite one is called Therion. For the recording of their last cd they used 170 guest musicians: An orchestra,a full choir... they even recorded some parts with a real church organ. Well you should try them. You can get some mp3 on their websites. Therion The band I just talked about. Rhapsody Another great band. Their lyrics are about a story based on the Tolkien universe. For their last album they had as guest narrator Christopher Lee (yup, the actor) Haggard Another very interesting band. The band itself are 18 (!) musicians. And they all go on tours. That includes a small orchestra and some lyrical singers. Lacrimosa Ok. You HAVE to check this band. Too bad they don't have any sound samples on their website, but you can try getting a song from a p2p program. Try their last 2 albums (Echoes and Fassade) Ayreon This is not a band, but a project. You ever heard of Pink Floyd's The wall?. Well, that's a rock opera. This one, is a metal opera, and many people have compared it with Pink Floyd's in quality. You really have to check this one out. I guess those are the more "listenable" =) bands. Also you could try Symphony X Another great band but a little less "listenable". Ok, I guess that's it. Check them out and post your opinions please, I'm really interested in what normal people (non metalheads:) ) think about them. See ya.

It happens the same to me. I guess the DVD-R discs that you (and me) use are 4x, so that's the max speed they can be burned.

Mini?!That thing is huge and awfull! I hate the looking of the Xbox. Not to talk about the huge controls. I also have big hands, but I'm quite confortable with PS controls. It's just a matter to getting used to it. Also my mouse is quite small and it is great.

Anyone knows where I can buy country domains? (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/)

I am going to travell to argentina to study and I'm taking my computer... wich I have no idea how I'm going to do it. It's big as hell. So, yes, size is a very good thing in a pc.And about the specifications, macs are much faster than pcs. On a veeeeeery old program, the system requeriments were something like this:For Macintosh:120 Mhz processorFor Windows200 Mhz processorIt has a 1.3 ghz processor, so that would be like a 2+ Ghz pentium. I think the price is quite good.

Installing Photoshop 7 On A Second Computer
Vagodeoz replied to jrdonjar0591's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
You should just use the installer. Programs have protection for that kind of things. I hate when I reinstall windows and I try to open a program or a game and it says that I need to reinstall the application. So as microscopic^earthling said, a program is the program itself, in some cases a bunch of files dropped in the windows folder and registry entrances, and even if they are not vital for the program to run, the application checks for them. Copy controlling protection.... -

Hi there. Who of you has service packs and what are they good for?Does it worth the huuuuuge download (keep in mind I have a 56k connection)?I said I wasn't going to update it but I got a video editing program and it asks me to have Service Pack 1 installed and that made me reconsider my choice...Thanks.

After reading so many good posts on this topic about AVG on this topic, I gave it a try. I must say it's very good, but I'm not sure if it's better than Norton. I think that the best antivirus will be the one released by microsoft. Their anti spyware is just... awesome...

I thought Kazaa was cool untill I tried eMule. It works great for me. I know many people say that the problem about eMule is the speed, but I have a 56k connection, so I don't need much speed...

Well... last time I was in the forum was 2 or 3 days, and I had 1 or 2 hosting credits, now I have -4. Why is that? I though it was 1 hosting credit per day, but I lost 6 in 2 days...

Yeah... the problem is when I got back from school my mother told me "I bought a DVD player". I always advicer her in that kind of stuff but she rushed buying it...About DVD Region+CSS Free, I don't have it. I used to, but now I use AnyDVD, wich is pretty much the same. I'll try that about burning it with Nero, I'll tell you the results. Thanks a lot. Oh, and one more thing: In a DVD, what is zone protected? The VOB files themselves? the format in wich the dvd is recorded?

What I didn't like about vice city is that it felt just like gta 3. I played it thinking that it's another game, but I guess it's just something like an expansion pack. Anyway, I'll better wait for san andreas to come out for pc.

GameSpot says it will be out in 06/07/2005http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ That is too much waiting...

Wich program do you suggest for copying dvds?Another thing that I need: I don't know if it's legal or not, but my mom brought me some dvds when she was in spain, so they are Zone 2, and here we use zones 1 and 4, so our dvd player doesn't read them. Can I copy a dvd and make it region free? Thanks.

Future King Of Rpg? What shoud have a RPG to be best?
Vagodeoz replied to Giniu's topic in Computer Gaming
Well... that is a hard question...Let's see, what I like about RPGs:- 3D cameras (like in Dungeon Siege)- A nice soundtrack as background is always something good.- Some very nice cinematics (blizzard style)- Very interesting skills (Different for each race)- You will need a very very interesting story to keep the gamer interested and keep playing. I don't like much those open ended games, but maybe it's just me...- At least 4 or 5 playable races- Dungeons Roolz! =)- There are many good rpgs out there, but you should find an idea to make it unique. Dungeon Siege is unique becouse you can controll many characters, and even one or two mules for taking your gear (at least I think it's the only one).- Another great feature is the ability to ride horses.- A good map system, like in diablo 2, where you can keep playing while looking at the map.- One thing that every rpg has, and that I think sucks, is that you get from lvl 1 to lvl 2 in let's say 5 minutes, but you get from lvl 30 to lvl 31 in hours. I mean, it's ok that the higher lvl you have, the more experience you need, but I think most (all) games make it too hard to lvl up after a certain point (I think in Diablo 2 it's about lvl 25). And when you are stuck in a lvl for quite a long time, it becomes extremly boring.I have played Diablo 2 a LOT, and I mean a LOT! I think I have beated the game in normal difficult about 10 times, and then, when I keep playing it becomes awfull to play (becouse of the slow lvling). From those 10 characters, only one reached act 2 in the second difficulty, and the started another one.- Mouse... I like the mouse controll in diablo (you click and hold on a direction and the character keeps moving nonstop), but I also like controlls for example in dungeon siege (where you click on a point and the character goes there). What I think you should do is make both ways available, so each player can choose. I think no games has that features...- Multiplayer is a MUST for an rpg. (And making it dial-up friendly give you some extra points, at least in my case) =)- I think games shouldn't ask for the original cd to play. It's a way to prevent piracy, but anyway hackers keep making cracks, and for users who own the original game it's annoying that you must have the cd in your pc.Well... I think that's all I can think of right now. I hope I was helpfull.Damm... this is my biggest post ever! You better give me a lot of hosting points for this. =P -
I had complitely forgotten about other game I spend my childhood with...METAL SLUG!!!Arghhh that game is awesome!I would spend whole afternoons playing it...I knew every trick of MS 1, 2 and X.By the time MS3 was out, I already had a PC and was too busy playing other games

xtron: Then maybe you could tell microscopic^earthling something about the storyline. I don't remember much, and I think I barely managed to act 2, so I don't know much about it.Damm... that game is really hard...Now that I remember... at the beginning of act 2, I think you have to enter a fortress or something like that, wich has a loooot of orcs all around it. I couldn't enter. Do you remember how to?

Tony Hawks Series PS PS2 skateboarding game
Vagodeoz replied to Dementour's topic in Computer Gaming
I have TH 1, 2 and 3. Don't remember wich for PSX and wich for PC, but they all were awesome, even though not much difference between them. I got a little bored. I assume TH4 and UG1 and 2 are about the same, so I won't get them. -
