I have to say I prefer PS2 the best. I know it can't stand up to the Xbox in terms of graphics, but there are so many more games I'd rather play on PS2. For example the Gran Turismo series. It is undoubtadly the best racing simulator game on ANY console, and for that reason alone I would pick a PS2 over an Xbox. None of the games really interest me.. apart from a couple that are available for PC anyway. This argument really does come down to personal preference though, and if you're undecided on which system to get, it's not always the best option to ask a group of people their opinions. You MIGHT just miss out on the console you really want. I voted for PS2 obviously, but in doing so I am not trying to say that the PS2 is the better console, just saying it is the console I prefer.

I definately have to go with ATi. I personally have the ATi 9600SE, and am quite pleased with it for a budget card. I've been able to play most new games at relatively high detail, but on 800x600 res in most cases. The resolution doesn't really concern me too much though, as long as I can have most of the settings set high. I regularly play Doom 3, HL2, NFS:U 2 and they all run very well with good detail and nice frame rates.Although I have not had any experience with nVidia, I am very happy with my ATi card and have no plans to change.

Personally I see no need for a floppy drive, but that's just me. My needs and preferences don't require it. I built my last computer mid way through last year and didn't even bother to buy a floppy drive. It might a little funny to some poeple, but on the front of my case, all you see is the one DVD combo drive. It's all I need though... and until I have problems with my BIOS I have no plans to instal one. I can understand why some poeple would need them though, and I agree that they shouldn't be disregarded when building computers. Especially where big manufacturers are concerned. They should at least offer a floppy drive as an option on their machines to save the void warranties.
