phpbb has a spell check mod in thier listings. I dont know about the other forum boards I would think they would also.

What softwear do you use to burn your cd's? I use nero express.I'm sure they all setup the same way.This is how I set mine up.1# shut down your machine if you have the cd drive pluged in already.Once it is shut down unplug the cd drive cable from the tower.2# reboot your machine.3#put in the disk that has your drivers on it,and install them.Then remove the cd from the drive.4#shut down the machine again.5#while the machine is shut down plug the cd drive cable back into the tower..6# reboot your machine.Once the machine reboots it will find your cd drive.7#insert the burner softwear into your drive,and install it.Once this is done you should be good to go.

Yes, thats what I was talking about amfphp.Also thank you for the link I will read about this now I have been messing around in the flash IDE,and would like to do a chat ap with it. I just got the apache http server installed ,and configured to run globaly.Are either of you two into flash any?

I have apache http server setup on my machine now.For awhile I had it setup to use locally,but never could figure out how to use it to server globally now I am able to do such a thing.There is quite a bit for me to learn yet about the darn thing. I found a good link that I would like to share with those that have tryed in the past,and failed hopfully this may shed some light for you as it has for me.Also if you have been trying to run your own server on your machine,and cannt quite figure out how to still feel free to PM me ,and i will do my best to get you up and running. I have Jcreator pro installed,and have been able to find myself around in it ok so far I have done the hello world program,and compiled,and ran it.What java IDE are you guys using or which do you like the best,and why?

Seems to me less clutter,and less code would result in a faster running code.

I leave mine on all the time. I only unplug it all in a bad storm due to possiable lightening strike. I think of it this way the more you heat something up, and cool it off the sooner it will break. So as long as your fan is working, and you dont get hit by lightening you should be ok.

I suppose your assignment is passed by now, and I hope you found an answer to your question. I would be interested in the chess game if you could send me the projects files. I'm just starting to learn java myself,and this probally has not a thing to do with your question, but I was noticing that the applet source code only contains one import statment that doesnt seem right.

I'm no expert, but I tryed jcreator out a year or two ago,and I found it to be about the simplest to use. I resently downloaded sun's java studio enterprise 8. It was a monster download. I havnt figured out how to use the full IDE yet, but the collaberator function looks like it would be nice to use if you were working as a team on a project.I'm going to startup again,and fiddle around abit with java.I'll have to start from scatch again with the hello world program I'm sure its been awhile.I'd rather not read much if I can get away with it as much as possiable Do you guys,and gals have any free video tutorial links you could post to me? Thanks in advance.

What paint program are you using? I use paint shop pro 7. The filter Xenofex has a nice lightning effect.Also to make your clouds move you may want to try the filter Swerve by Flamming pear.You have a good start. Very nice.

I just downloaded the new java studio enterpise 8 softwear from sun java it is bundle package of net beans IDE, and the apache ANT server. This was a free download amounting to about 186mb in file size. I tryed Jcreator a few years ago it is also a free IDE. I dont like to read anymore then I have to,and I like the free stuff you may want to checkout vtc's free video tutorials on java. You'll need the quicktime player to view them, also there is a list of the rest of the course at the bottum of the page that you could google them to find the how to's. Hey , round did you get the two to talk yet? Looks like you ,and sanbeand are the only ones that Ive found in trap working with flash. I would be intrested seeing what you come up with.Also I'm looking to make new contacts with people that are using the flash IDE . I've been working on building a chat ap.

I'm wondering what the technic is called thier using to make the real life like people animations on tv now days or maybe I should say the program thier using to make them or both. Its as though they take a real persons image,and run a filter on it. If so what filter would that be?

Yah thats what I'm upto a chat app. I was going to start off with the samples,and after I figured out how to go public with them edit the fla files with my own logos,and so on. I see flash com is already installed in apache. I had a small set back this week as I had to do a reformat. I used to use 98se,and have upgraded to xp pro now so I have a learnning curve that I'm going though as well as trying to learn how servers work,and thier setups.Every thing that I have on my machine was free including my os I'm a cheap operator.....lol. I'm going to upgrade to the version 8 softwear from macromedia on this freash os install.May I add you to my friends list sanbeand? -
Thanks, coolwaves4allYes, I have that script, and many more, but I'm wanting to use my fla file that I've been working on, and make it public so I can keep on developing it as I go. I dont want someone elses work I'm trying to figure out now how to use flash communications server which I have figured out how to use it as a local tool for development. I need to install server 2003 or 2000,and run it within it. So I can deploy my swf file. I enjoy your input,and value it very much hope to hear from you more,and anyone else about setting up your own server,and deploying flash apps.

Yes you can view the source code of the page,and use the flash player code that is playing the swf file from within it,but that isnt the same as having the swf.You could use it in that manner,but I think that would be stealing whos evers band width by doing so.Most of the time swf files people will just freely give you its the fla file witch is the editable file in flash that is kept guarded,and not published.If you would care to post the link to this page I would take a look at it ,and see what your trying to do for sure.
