  1. lol.. good theory.. but then... training yourself to just sleep for 20 minutes at a time is even tougher.. lol. For some people like myself take around an hour or 2 to fall asleep when i don't want to sleep.This might be a good way to study if you don't have any deadline, but if you're studying for a test two days away from now, that would be a little bit impossible. lolThere are things that might help you learn quicker like try to study in a quiet enivorment because when there is sound around while you're studying, your brain has to process the sound also. So to maximaize your learning ability, it's better to turn off any kind of music.There are also "focus factor" pills that you can buy to enhance your foucing ablity. It works very well and fast.Also, there are books that teach you how to remember things easier. It might have worked for some people, but not myself. The books are meant for a more visual learners.


  2. well. .internet is the basic of computer usage, unless you are using your computer for some scientific similation that requires a supercomputer. But with just the internet alone, we cannot do much. For me, i love to watch those asian series and watch them, but i can't watch them just with the internet. I would need the right codec, media player, fast internet connection, and a computer powerful enough to watch the videos without lagging. I guess what i'm trying to say is that internet is just one part of your computer usage. You need other things such as software to enable you to do more things with the internet like watching movies or to play games.


  3. lol.. i do believe in cause and effect, but not recarnation or having a next life.. AHHAA.. Don't get me wrong, i have nothing against buddism. My whole family is buddish (except me.. i decided to be an atheis). I believe in buddha teaching but not the supernatural power part, recarnation, and other stuff. I believe that for everything you do, your effects will remain in this life. It does not carry over to your next life (if there is one). For everything you do, there will always be a good and bad effects. You have to sacrifice something to gain something. For example, if you did something bad to gain great fortune, then you might become hated and distrusted by everyone. This might seem significant to some and other might not think the same way. It's not something we can comprehand quickly.If karma does exist, then the chain of karma will never end. If someone killed your mom, and you go and killed theirs, you can't exactly say we are even. This is not like math where negaitve 1 plus positive one makes zero. Life is much more complex than just two varibles.


  4. i'm not sure myself, but i think you need to clear up your definition to real numbers. Real numbers are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 ... , not 5"i". The "i" is still considered as part of the number; therefore, you cannot call 5i a real number. That's why we called it imaginary, because we have no idea what it is. lol.. and they taught you this in alegbra 3 & 4 in highschool. But i heard from my brother, when you get into higher math, they will go deeper into what exactly is imaginary number.


  5. lol. .how cares.. as long as you're not distrubing the movies to everyone. .then it's fine. .The protection is there so you can't make illegal copies and sell them. .by the way... ripping dvds is too much time consuming. .lol.. And beside. .would you really want to watch a movie on a small phone screen--staring at it for 2 hours. I don't think mobile phone are really meant for that yet. Lol.. also, by doing so on your mobile phone, it would kill the screen faster. My phone's screen now is so dark comparing to when i first got it. .lol. THat's because the phone died and turned on a white screen for a few hours straight. .lol.. I guess some of the backlights were burned..lol.. I'm sure reencoding the dvd would probably take 1-2 hours each... why don't you just watch the freaken movie instead... you get better quality with the dvd anyway...


  6. you can't really compare the two companies because they arn't really going in the same direction. I have to admit that google is a good free software program company, but they are still too early to be any real threats to mircosoft. Besides, google is actually trying to compete with other major internet sites such as yahoo, ebay, etc.So far, the fight between google and microsoft are:MSN vs Google TalkMSN search engine vs Google search engineHotmail/MSN vs GmailFuture:Google online spreedsheet vs Microsoft ExcelAll of these isn't the big buck maker for microsoft. As you all know, microsoft got rich because of the Windows Operating System. Unless google decided to make an operating system from scrap and give it out for free, then yes, they will be bigger than microsoft. But creating an operating system from scrap cost billions of dollars.


  7. if a company did do that, then it would be somewhate, illegal. Why? Because if a company did make a console that plays every video games out there, i'm assuming, they would completely dominate the gaming industry, which means they can charge the consumer as much as they like, since they're the only company that make that kind of product. lolWell, but logically now, in order for company to make a console that can play any games, they need to buy the licenses from all the console makers. First, that would cost a lot; second, gaming companies won't be that stupid to sell their secrets because they invested millions to design their console; thrid, it's bad for buisness.lol.. The closest things that you can get from that is buying a PC. LOL..they have a lot of games for PC that was orignally meant for consoles. Also, if what i have been reading is true, then PC gaming is going up in most countires. Therefore, more game developer will make more good games for PC. lol....sorry if i dont' make sense because it's 2 am in the morning here and i'm half asleep...


  8. i thin kthe stupidest comeback is when you're in an argument and they bring up old things that are not related to the subject. Well, not exactly an argument, but just sometime teasing each other.....Example:Someone number 1: dude, you were so asian washed in middle school.. .AHAHAH *point and laugh* (teasing a friend)Someone number 2: Well, at least i didn't get dump in less than a week. lol.. i either heard that somewhere or completely made it up. Honestly, when friends tease each other, you don't really have to bring up personal things for a comeback.


  9. i don't like the idea of nominating people becuase not everyone can be involved with it. We have how many member on this forum? And how many of them that you know or recongnize while making post (except for the MOD's and Admin's).I'm think we should have a scoring system instead. For example, a person made a tutorial or something... and someone found that's very helpful to them. They, then, can give good feedback score or whatever you guys want to call it. And at the end of each week, just add up the scores and who has the most, wins. Of course there must be some sort of limitation of giving out "feedback points" to prevent cheating. This is just an idea, so i won't give it much thought into how to make it cheat-free. I'm sure the system will eventually evolve into a higher anti-cheating system...


  10. lol.. if it's really google. .then i'm sure they will anounce it to everything.. .And for what reason did they say for the award?.. randoml 500 give away without any signup sounds a scam to me.. lol ANd what the heck is premium gmail game account. Google doesn't have any game server ... lol. .and gmail is in beta.. why would they start charging people money?.. besides... google is supposed to be a free for all company.. they would never charge people money for using their program..

I agreed with one of the guy who said that girls are more of an emotional species than guys, therefore they tend to do it less or not doing at all. I guess the reason for girls doing it less or not doing it at all is that they were never exposed to any corrupted things like guys do. lol. Also, i guess it's harder for them to masturbate, so many girls don't try. Thus, they were never exposed to the pleasure that you get from it. AHHAHAHA.. maturbation is like a drug... when you try it for the first time, you get hooked right away..   12. lol, i seriously don't really care about proxy list anymore because my school had already blocked them all. So i would rather spend my time at school doing something else than sitting there and try to test out all the proxy site. lol.. If you really in needs of accessing blocked sites at your school, i would recomand to sign up for some free cheap webhosting that doesn't require you to post like Xisto (i'm not saying this is cheap hosting, i think Xisto is awesome.. lol.) and run your own proxy service until your account get banned. Then you can create another and do the same thing over again.. lol.. Sorry if i sounded like a jackass.. lol


  13. naturally, i would want both: love and money. But if in some case where i have to pick just only one: in my "bad boy" perspective, i would pick the money because if you have money, you can always find new love, talking realisticly. It's not like if you chose the money, then you would become an enunch or something and live a lonely life forever.But if the person is truely my dream girl and would be with me forever, then of course i would pick love. It's hard to find a perfect girl, and who knows, I might win the lottery the next day and become rich.


  14. if you are building a computer for gaming, i would recommand AMD processor. And like someone said before.. you should get a 256mb+ graphic card for future gaming. For ram, i would recommand more than 1gb because the recommanded requirement for windows VISTA is 1gb of ram and 128mb graphic card. You might want to go far over that requirement if you are planning on using your computer for gaming.And about hdd space, i would recommand at least 120gb because as gaming gets better, more space will be required for games.. Especially when people use next generation DVD for gaming which is 30-50 gb per disk.If you are planning to have a huge monitor like a 20" widescreen monitor, you should consisder a much higher graphic card because the bigger the your monitor is, the more processing your graphic card has to do.Also, try to have a good air circulating system.. .especially when you're planning to put your PC under the desk. You would probably need like air conditioning in the summer.. lol


  15. lol. .i would like to see the italian screw up on one of their PK so the french could caught up but i guess they didn't. lol.. The french were so close though, just one kick and that cost them the whole game. Amazing how the french managed to get their first goal within the first minute. I don't know much about soccer but from all the games i have ever seen, it took them at least over to overtime to score a goal. lol


  16. go to your motherboard maufacture website and look up the spec for you motherboad. Look for what type of ram your motherboard support: e.g. pc2700. Usually you could get anything higher than pc2700 to work (backward compatible), for example, i could use pc4000 on my motherboard that supports pc2700.Check to see if your motherboard support either SATA hdd (newer type of hard drive) or IDE HDD. Most likely it will support IDE hdd. Also, check your HDD to see if it's either IDE or SATA. Look for ide hdd and sata hdd picture on google if you don't know what it looks like. Of course, the most important thing is to find at right processor. If your motherboard supports socket 478, that means it supports pentium 4 or intel celeron processor. If they don't tell you specifically what kind of cpu your motherboard supports, then google for the SOCKET TYPE.Most motherboard are in ATX format. ATX board can only fit in an ATX (you don't really need a case for a computer to work by the way).Also, find out what kind of card slots your motherboard supports. E.g. PCI, PCI express, AGP, etc. Note: AGP is use for AGP graphic card only.After you have all the required parts: hdd, ide cable (IF YOU HAVE AN IDE HDD), CPU, Compatible CPU fan, motherboard, ram, cd-rom drive, power supply, graphic card (if you motherboard doesn't have an intergrated graphic card, and a computer case.First step: Assembling a computer within a case. You can skip this step if you don't use a caseMake sure that you case is an ATX case. Usually when you buy a new empty case, it should come with power supply. You need an ATX power supply or a power supply with 20 pins (this usually comes with an ATX case so you don't have to worry so much about it)There should be holds inside the case where you mount your motherboard in. Try to match those holds to the holds on your motherboard. Use the screws that came with the case and mount your motherboard onto the case.Next step is to install you Processor if you haven't already. Lift the lever up so you could insert the CPU. When you buy your cpu, buy the one that comes with a heatsink or CPU fan because it will make your computer much quieter. Mount the CPU fan onto of the CPU; make sure it's stable and won't fall of when you move your case. For more infomation on how to install a CPU, look at the manual that came with it. Make sure you connect the power for your heatsink. Next is to install your ram. There is nothing much for me to say here.After installing the ram, mount your cd-rom drive and hdd into their spot. If you are planning on just using 1 ide cable (maximum number of drives is two), set the jumper on your hdd to MASTER and your cd-rom DRIVE to SLAVE. Connect the ide cable to both drives and connect the other end to the motherboard. There should be two IDE slots on your motherboard, connect it to the PRIMARY ide or sometimes IDE 0.If you are planning on using two ide cable, set both drives to MASTER and connect each drive on a seperate IDE cable. Connect the other ends of the two ide cable to the motherboard. The ide cable that is connected to the hdd, make sure it is plugged into the PRIMARY IDE slot on the mother board and the one with the cd-rom drive into the SECONDARY IDE slot.If your motherboard doesn't have a video card intergrated, then you must buy a seperate graphic card. Graphic card depends on what your motherboard supports. If your motherboard has AGP slots and PCI slots, you might want to buy an AGP graphic card because it has a faster speed compare to PCI. If you have a PCI express card, then that's completely different. You might need to use a little force to get the graphic card into its slot. Do the same thing as you did to the graphic card with the other cards that you might want to install like a modem and a ethernet (for networking).Check your manual for ways to connect your case power/reset botton to the motherboard.That is all the basic steps to build a computer.If you couldn't get your computer to work for some reason, check your motherboard manual to see if there is any jumper on the motherboard that you need to set.Last step is to connect the power connectors to all your drives and motherboard. Use the 20pins power connector to connect to your motherboard and a 4pins power connector to all your drives (except for your floppy drive).Plug the power cable to your power supply and monitor to your VGA port and make sure the monitor is turned on. Turn on your computer, go into your bio or look at the bootup menu to see if your computer detects all drives. If it does, then great, your computer is working; if it doesn't, then you probably set your jumper on the drives wrong or maybe a defected ide cable. Just try to resolve the problem by making sure all cable is completely plugged in all the way. If you tried everything and it doesn't work, try to go into your computer BIOS by pressing F2, delete, or f12 on the first startup menu and make sure your IDE device is set to Auto detect.If everything is working, the next step you need to do is install an operating system or OS. Microsoft Window XP is the most used operating system and easy to use so you might want to install that. There are other OS, but it's for advanced users. To install microsoft window XP, you need to first go into your BIOS setting and set your "BOOT ORDER" to CD-ROM first. Make sure you save your changes and reboot the computer. Insert the window OS cd into the CD-rom drive. Wait till it says "Please press any key to start boot up disc" or something like that. Follow the instructions after you boot up the disc. If your hdd if brand new, when window ask to you FORMAT your computer, select "Format in NTFS" -- it is recommanded to not use quick format if it's the first time your hdd has been formated. After window format your hdd, it will start copying files which will take awhile. When window finished coping files, it will reboot the computer. This time, do not press anything until it boot up to the window INSTALLATION screen. Follow the instructions and you will soon be on your way to your new fully working computer.Note: SOmetimes windows doesn't automatically have all the drivers to your computer so some device might not work. Check to see which device that isn't working, and go to that device maunfacture website and download the DRIVER for windows XP. SOrry if the way i put it is confusing. IT's a long post after all..


  17. There is no way of us tracing back exactly how the universe was made or even live on earth were created. All of the things that we ever heard about the creation of the universe or live on earth (besides what the bible says) is all theory. Scientists have no way to prove the theory is accurate or not. It is impossible to know what really happened unless we somehow travel back to the time when the universe was created. Not to say that travel back in time is ridiculous, but even if we are able to travel back in time, will we be able to survive in that enivorment. As most of you already mentioned about the big bang theory, scientists believe that the universe was once very compacted together and it was extremely hot. I guess the theory said that it exploded and expanded the university. As the universe expanding, the temperature dropped. Then somehow bunch of hydrogens atoms fused together to become a denser element with is hilum. The more it fuse togehter, the denser element it creates (this is what happen inside our sun right now). I guess the truth about the universe is one of those things where human will never be able to comprehene very well.


  18. space is indeed amazing and mysterious. Many people think our universe is infinite and many others think our universe is like a sphere that never ends. I don't know what they have to back that up, but it's all a theory. It's impossible for us to ever find out the truth about our universe because our universe is so huge no one can ever explore in their life time. And also, even if they send out a space shuttle to explore some planets millions of light years away, it will take millions of light years just for data to be sent back. As you could see, waiting million of years just to give one command to the space shuttle is outrageous. Of course i believe that htere are lives beyond us. Universe is huge, chances of it have another planet that is habitable like ours is higher than most people think. As many scientists believe, if there are water, there are chances of live. Even if we ever discover a habital planets like ours through telescope (less lightly because telescope is very limited) because by the time the light reaches the our telescope, that planet might be long gone. The light that we see now can be millions of years old. Many things can happen during a a million year. Just look at our civilization. Just under 10 thousands years and we are about to advanced from caveman to what we are now. Look at all the high tech stuff that we have. Computers, space exploration, nuclear bomb, electricity, etc.


  19. well.. MSN is the best... aim is mostly used by people (mostly americans) and google talk is simple and it is more convience because it uses the same account as your gmail (gmail is better than msn or hotmail). Aim is overrated, people just refuse to try new things. Everything has to start from somewhere; i have been trying to get people to switch to MSN but many still don't. Now, i started to use google talk because there are so many annoying people that have aim and it is distracting sometimes.Oh, just to point out, Trillian isn't really an IM server.. lol. It's a IM client that allows you to logon your msn,icq(same company as aim), aim, irc, and yahoo.Also, not to mention, microsoft recently joined with yahoo on their IM, so now you can talk to your YAHOO messenger friends using your MSN account. Just add their yahoo email account to your MSN buddy list. I guess the reason why they are doing this is because they are trying to compete with google. lol

The song has many variations and arragnement.
