They've had this for quite a while. I don't think i'd like it too much.. I need some kind of reaction when i press a key... Right now if I accidently press a key next to the key I meant to press I can tell... I'm not sure about this. But i suppose that computers need to be getting smaller and they can't do that with bulky things like keyboards and screens anymore, so perhaps this is the future? Wait I've got an idea. How about we put a mini projector and a computer in a keyboard and you just put the keyboard on your lap and aim it at a wall. Now that would be an awesome computer. Just the keyboard! Aha! I think I'm going to make a topic about this under My Theories! They've already got a keyboard that can do that. Its a regular keyboard with a mini lcd screen on each key. Here's a pic: They've got function buttons which you can have application icons to launch them: Looks pretty snazzy Another pic with the keys configured for a game:

Well you do have many options. Any server side script could do this for you but I'd choose PHP, (but then again I'm biased because it is my favorite coding language ). W3Schools is great for starting out any language, so I suggest you go to them and take their intro php course..

Does eval parse differently than regular php code? I always assumed it was the same. I shall try this and report back here if it works.

I was hoping not to use references but all right i guess i must...

I agree with SamiFX, the hardware is pretty good. Although reinstalling the OS might not be necessary I'd recommend defragging your harddrive before you do anything and see if it helps, and then get better ram. Your cpu isn't that bad and neither is your ram but I believe nowadays with such demanding apps I don't think anybody can get away without more than 2 gigs of ram. But if you have the budget get both!

Ok i can't believe I need help in php but I can't figure this out... If i have an array, lets say called test, how do i get a certain value from that array when referencing it dynamically by either a string or another variable? Example: $test=array(1,2,5);$name="test";//Doesn't work:echo $$name[0];/Doesn't work:echo ${$name}[0];

Holy moly! When i was really young I thought of this and how awesome it would be if they could get wireless electricity, but I was told that it was impossible and I just accepted it, but now this?! This would change all of our lives, thats for sure... Imagine not having to charge your laptop or phone anymore, they would just charge by themselves when you walked into your house!Nice find BH!

Google Map Catches Ufo? whatever it is, it is on google map :P
galexcd replied to serverph's topic in Search Engines
Google changes the photos periodically anyway... I doubt that it had anything to do with this, besides, I'm pretty sure that the government was the one who started all of this UFO hype so the russians wouldn't get to suspicious of the stuff being tested at Area 51... I don't believe that this picture was a real UFO but you are very close minded. There is quite a possibility that there is life other than ourselves. -
What Way Does Your Toilet Flush? Counter-Clockwise or Clockwise?

Are you asking how to get other results? Why don't you just make a function that sends tat via ajax, and then call it again with a settimeout function? Once again, I am sorry but I just don't always know what your asking exactly. I believe your delema is that its only selecting the first 6 rows insted of the most recent 6 rows am i right? This could be solved by using the ORDER BY in sql. I see you have ORDER BY `id` already but it is in the wrong order. You want to add DESC after that ORDER BY `id` DESCto reverse the order that it gets the results by.

I would be quite mad if i was born after 1990 too but I was born in '89 so this doesn't affect me so I really don't care but I disagree with you... They are only changing the age that you can get your license not your permit so people will get more practice under instruction of somebody who already has their license which I think would result in less accidents wouldn't it? I don't know but I really don't care caus it doesn't apply to me Ha ha I did that too the first time i drove a stick but now i'm used to it. Manual is fun!!

The Earth Is Really Flat Its a conspiracy
galexcd replied to galexcd's topic in Science and Technology
Planes don't really fly. They are actually underground with television screens in all the windows to make you think you are actually flying... Planes work like subways. As for the conspirators, they are trying to stop them.... they are on my trail but I relocate every day to make sure that they don't catch me... Good luck... You are braver than I was... I only took a picture I didn't try to get over the wall. How do you have internet access where you are? Is there a computer in the middle of the forest!? -
I'm using the php function time() to get the time and yes I know I can add seconds to it to fix the time zone but I use it many times throughout my site and frankly i don't really feel like going to every single page and find every instance where i use time and changing it :PI guess I will do that if I must...

Well at least after you figured it out it actually became decent. I bought a cabinate from IKEA to put my TV on, and the first time I put it together, the only thing that was premade which was the rails for each drawer were sideways. So NONE of the drawers would close all the way because they were at least 20 degrees sideways and the corners would hit the frame... I was quite angry that I spent so much time putting it together and in the end I just had to take it apart and bring it back and they gave me a new one, where one of the peices of wood had a huge crack in it and after putting it together, it broke in 2 and the whole thing fell apart, so I went back a third time, this time fuming, and demanded that they put it together there for me. So they got a new one and put it together and one of the drawers were too big to fit in, so they borrowed a drawer from another one of the set and finaly got it together for me. Jeeezzz I will never shop at IKEA again...

No offence but life would be much easyer if you used google. The first result to the query "typing japanese characters" had an answer... According to the website you need to download Microsoft Global IME and after switching the mode in MS word to the language you want to type in, you type in the character using roman letters and it will replace it with Japanese characters (which is what you asked). It may be expencive to set up solar panels, but my pool is solar heated. There are a whole bunch of black pipes on the top of my porch and they heat the pool in the summer. It was a bit more expencive when installing it, but we don't have to pay for gas to heat the pool so it turned out to be quite the investment. As canpolitics said, it's not really that practical to power your entire house with it because there just isn't that much opportunity for it to charge up, especially if you live in a place where it is overcast a lot.

I know a much faster way to shut down your windows machine. I won't go into details but it involves a sledge hammer and some minor explosives...
