  1. I set up my new account with a domain that I own. I just purchased another domain that I would like to be the "main" domain, and the old one an addon domain. How can I do that?
  2. I don't have a 360, and pretty sure I'm gonna wait it out. I really would like to check out all the new systems this time and try to make a better decision, and hopefully by then the outrageous prices will have gone down.
  3. I did a quick search and came up with This . Pirates of the burning sea, seems to be a pirate themed MMORPG. You can sign up for beta testing on the website, which means it's probably free to play at the moment.
  4. I have (in chronological order):Atari 2600Nintendo Entertainment SystemNintendo Game BoySega GenesisPlaystationPlaystation 2Gameboy AdvanceI plan on holding out for a while for the next generation, I jumped the gun last time and got the PS2, and think I would have been much happier if I had waited and got an XBOX. This time I'm waiting till everything is out and the prices go down a bit.
  5. My contract was finally up this month so we renewed and I got a new Moto E815. I haven't bought a bluetooth headset yet so I can't really say much about the bluetooth capabilities yet. I've been playing a lot with the voice dialing system and it seem really nice. You don't have to train it, and so far even with some creative contact names I havn't had any unrecoginized commands. The camera is pretty sweet at 1mp you can actually use the photos it takes. You all probably know about Verizons antics with cripling phones capablilities to improve thier profit margin, and its pretty rampant with the E815. You cannot retrieve photos or video with out sending a message which cost's you. But with a little creative work and a $10 USB cable you can get around that. It's a nice phone, with all the capabilities of the Razr V3c, but without the price tag.
  6. I really don't think a projected keyboard will catch on. People need to feel the keys in order to type effectively. If you are just banging you fingers on a smooth projected surface you will likely have to keep looking at the projection of the keyboard as your hands may wander off in some direction causing you to type incorrectly. Program specific key configuration however is appealing. Having your keyboard adapt to the best configuration for specific programs would be interesting and useful. I have heard recently of a keyboard that has OLED keycaps (only on a few keys now I think), but in the future as OLED gets cheaper we could have adapting keyboards with OLED labels on all of the keys.
  7. Well it looks like the Qrio robots just got the Axe from Sony already. So now the four in the Beck video will be the only ones. Slashdothas some more info about it, but apparently Sony has been cost cutting and cancelled the Qrio, and Aibo (Sony's robot dog). It's too bad would have been cool to see how they turned out as a toy.
  8. Just a heads up for those of you that are interested in Lightscribe. I just saw This deal over at geeks.com. Its a lightscribe compatible 16X DL DVD burner for $55 during the green light special.
  9. My site has been suspended for a few days. I though maybe my credits were low, but when I increased them I was not reinstated. If I broke a rule please let me know.cpanel - nachosite - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  10. I have a Mobiblu cube MP3 player (which I reviewed Here) And I really like it. I think from what you posted you are probably looking for something bigger at least in size. The mobiblu is really small. One nice alternative to the ipod nano/mini is the creative zen micro. If you want a hard drive based player. My suggestion is to think about what you will use it for most. If you want something for the gym/running etc.. then go with a small flash based player. If you want to dump your whole music collection on it and use it for general low intensity listening, then go with a hd based larger player.
  11. Lightscribe certainly seems better that using sticky labels, I have never had any luck with them. And it also has a bit of "cool" factor since the laser is burning your label. However, what I have found to be quite nice are printable CD/DVDs. You still have to buy a special disk, and in my experience they are 50% or so more than regular discs. And you also need a printer that supports them, I have an epson photo R200 that I got at CompUSSR for $80. But the results are great, and you have full color.
  12. Recently, in what is labeled an attempt to help prevent children from accessing internet pornography, the Bush administration has tried to get their hands on data from google. The feds are apparently after data from a specific week as well as a bunch of randomly generated web addresses. Here is a link to the latest Yahoo! News article about it. Interestingly enough, the article states that Yahoo has previously given similar information to the government. So far Google is refusing to hand over the requested information. I think that this whole deal is a blatent breech of our privacy. The government has no business with our internet searching habits. And as far as I'm concerned it also isn't their place to police children on the internet.
  13. You talking about a Firmware Flash for your phone? Here is a link from google that appears to be about firmware flashing a motorola a835. It's just the first relevant result so if you don't find what you need you should go to https://www.google.de/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=BwkjVKfAD8uH8QfckIGgCQ&gws_rd=ssl and enter "a835 firmware".
  14. I checked it out and was clicking the update locations (for NYC) but I really didn't see any moving around. Is it some sort of gps that keeps track of taxis or is it just fixed locations?
  15. I've had Verizon for two years now, my contract is finally up next month so I can finally get a new phone. I've been completely happy with them. No coverage problems, no crazy billing. The even actually lowered my bill when I first started with them. After the first couple of months they noticed a mistake and knocked $10 bucks off a month. Needless to say I was pretty happy that they would actually fix it without me having to complain, or even notice the mistake. If I had to choose another I would have to go with Cingular/ATT. I like the roll-over minutes idea, and since they joined up with ATT their coverage must be pretty good.
  16. A few years back my dell laptop bit the dust. This was after I had sent it in for warranty work at least 6 times. Every couple of months, even after two weeks after being repaired, I would have to send it back to have the latch fixed. It was horribly designed and the little catch would break off when closing it.It was a pretty high end machine when I got it but about 2 and a half years later, it just wouldn't start up anymore. After hours on the phone with dell someone finally told me my motherboard was bad. Being that my warranty was up, I inquired how much it might cost to fix.......thier response....$900, which is about a third of what I payed for the machine. I just hung up on them and had to scrap the machine. Really sucked.
  17. I've played quite a few SNES games, but have never heard of Tetris Attack. Maybe I will have to check it out.
  18. Right now I have an old crappy LG flip phone, but luckily for me my contract is up in February so I can get a new phone.I am definately going to stick with another flip phone. It's not really a size issue, since some of the non-flip, brick type phones are comparable in size. The clincher in my opinion is the built in protection. For brick type phones the screen inevitably gets all scratched up over time by being in your pocket. New phones have large color LCDs which really look spectacular compared to my green screen now. So I would rather the screen be protected by the rest of the phone while it is bouncing around in my pocket.I recently read somewhere while I was researching the phone I will get when I replace my old one, that Europeons like the Brick style phones. While us here in the US prefer flip phones. Anyone from Europe wanna chime in and prove or disprove this?
  19. I thought that the MTV article said that they are the only 4 of their kind. As I read it again it doesn't say expressly that they are the only 4, it just says
  20. I think that in a whole lot of 8/16 bit games the gameplay is far better than most of the new offerings. Some of those old games are just fun to play, eg Zelda, Kid Icarus, Punch-Out, etc...
  21. So Beck has hired these little guys for his latest video for Hell Yes. They are called QRIO and sony is producing them as toys to relase in 4 years or someithng. You can check iout the video at Beck.com, just go to the videos section. Sony also has an article about it Here They do a very similar dance routine, but it didn't look like the same routine to me. As for them not being new technology, I really think that they are quite an advancement from any biped robot that I have seen. Both in terms of their ablilty to move smoothly and walk, and also their ability to accurately imitate human movements and dance. And I'm sure that since there are only 4 in the world that they were not easy to make.
  22. Pretty sweet video. The movements of the robots is increadibly fluid, and not jerky like I expected to see. Woulda liked to see them do the Hustle or the Macarena or something though.
  23. I have to go with Futurama. I think that the jokes were a little better, especially better that some of the early simpsons episodes. It's really hard to call though. It's hard to be subjective about it because I probably would rather watch a Futurama episode rather than the simpsons, just because I've seen the Simpsons episodes so many times. Especially the middle seasons that are syndicated to death.
  24. I really like gmail, and have been using it for about 2 years as well. Since some of the first rounds of beta testing. I really like the conversation style, however lately I have been using POP access so it really doesn't matter. I haven't heard of the addressguard feature, It sound really powerful. But you can be relatively sure if one of the big email companies introduces a new popular feature, the others will follow.PS If you need any invites I have tons of them that I am not using so just let me know.
  25. I have seen a lot of deals on the Razr lately and they have mostly been of the type that would get you a Razr for free with a 2 year contract. I certainly would not pay 800 for one. I have a friend who got one when they first came out and checked it out then and I was impressed by how thin it is but it was almost 2 times as wide as my current crappy LG phone. I did like the buttons and the large color screen, I just didn't think it was really great enough to warrant the huge price tag it carried back then.I'm not in the know for cell phones these days, so I can not really comment on any new products coming out. But as far as the Razr goes, I would take one for free with a contract, but I really would not pay for one.
