  1. It's not so much the Orange network that's pissing me off. I think they give really great deals, especially for us students but it's the software they seem to be imposing on their phones now.I got a Nokia 6630 and it's a brilliant phone. Love it to bits but when I 1st started it up this sort of weird screen appeared. Apparently it's called the Orange Home browser or something like that.Basically it like a GUI menu that takes place of the normal Nokia screen. Only the sort of starting screen, you know. The screen that shows what operator, how much battery and signal and has that kinky wallpaper of your gf. Anyway it replaces that and it looks like it zooms in on the wallpaper and cuts off the egdes so it's really blurry and off centre. Then there's the fact that the menu isn't all that good. Especially when you want to use other applications for doing things, there's no way of using the joystick as a quick launch because it seems to be disabled :/OK so what if you just use the standard things that come with the phone? Fair enough it's ok but it can take longer to do something than it does with having the normal screen, or even going into the menu to do it.It seems to take up 1meg of memory and some people have complained it's buggy or slows down their phone.Oh and guess what. The only way to get rid of it is to flash the firmware. I.E. go to a service centre, pay X amount of cash and get them to put on the latest phone software put onto your phone. The fact that you have to pay to remove it what really annoys me. I haven't got the money to be splashing out silly things like this. Why did Orange make it so that it couldn't be removed? Which programmer thought that would be a good idea.I'm sure anyone in the UK that is on Orange, or recently got an Orange phone will know what I mean.My post is probably really random and doesn't explain things well but it is 2am here and I just realised how stupid that piece of software is.
  2. Oh this is one of those what women mean threads Why can't you just keep things simple? But not too simple. Simple girls aren't really the type of girl you want to have as a gf. Well maybe simple at times. Hmm. I guess being simple isn't so easy after all.
  3. Not trying to be racist here but I noticed that the site seems to be for Indian (or that area of the world) women, where arranged marrages are still common so I'm guessing this website would be more suited for people are being forced into marrage.I'm sure some online dating services have success stories but I bet most are lies and the people split up because they realise one or maybe both have been lieing about themselves.I wouldn't know, never tried one and doubt I ever will. It's more fun thinking up random chat up lines on the spot and seeing if they work anyway
  4. Just curious as to why a short steam id is really needed? Will it make you look like a pro or load up the game faster or what?
  5. Yes I am sure, I was using it at the time then it suddenly stopped working. I sent a PM to OpaQue now.
  6. OK now it's getting a bit worrying. Trying to access cpanel gives me a 'Page Cannot be Displayed' error and I can't connect to my account through FTP. My website works as I can access my photo gallery and the few items I've uploaded onto it but for some reason I get to Cpanel. It all happened last night/early this morning, about 2:00am GMT. I was sorting out the FTP access through web browser (so I can let my gf upload things to host without giving her full access) and half way through the Cpanel stopped responding. I closed the window and restarted the browser but then I got the error.I tried clearing the cache and also a different browser (Opera) but it still didn't work. Is there anyone I can contact to get this sorted.I'm starting uni next week and so will be really busy and don't want my credits going to waste on a site I can't use.
  7. I doubt it as I can't even connect through FTP (CuteFTP) and it gives me a 'Page cannot be displayed' error. I'll try it anyway though.
  8. Hopefully it is under maintenance.I doubt it's my ISp as it just suddenly stopped working for me as I was in the middle of configuring things with cpanel. Ah well, nevermind. I'll check in a few hours.Maybe I'll get some sleep or something :/
  9. Title says it all really. For some reason I suddenly can't login to cpanel or through my FTP program but the website works fine. Anyone else getting this and any ideas what to do?
  10. EVE-Online Practically everytime I get some PVP action, and the game is full of it. I remeber the days when I first start and used to fly around the North in my Kestral frigate (small ship) and managing to take out interceptors (elite frigates). Those were a big rush and winning would fill me with warm wubbliness inside because my kessie+fitting would cost about 300k isk and an interceptor+ fitting was about 10-13mill isk. Now when I pvp with my corp (our version of guilds) we go in a small fleet of 1/2 battleships, and a bunch of cruisers and frigates, so about 8-10 in total. We fly rampant in 0.0 (lawless) space popping our enemies at every corner. We usually get lone kills but the real rush comes from taking on an enemy fleet that heavily out numbers us and managing to get at least 1 kill while they get nothing. Then they start calling in all there buddies until we're trapped in the system and outnumbered 3 to 1. We still manage to devise elaborate plans of getting out and do it with minimal of loss. [hijack] For more videos of others doing pvp check out the EVE-Online forums then videos section. And I highly recommend the EVE Never Fades video and a player made video call Vanguard.[/hijack]
  11. Meh, you get posers everywhere. It's worse among kids. Just finished college (I think that's high school for you Yanks) and it was full of them. People trying to be what they aren't pisses me off too because they look so stupid you just want to smack them.I'm sure it's no different out in the adult world. For some reason people want to be someone they're not and are always going to try just to fit it.I guess some pull it off and know when they are going oo far but there are those that take it too far and don't know when to stop. They are the ones that need a slap.
  12. Tell me again what the point is of having another OS if all your doing with it is to check emails and stuff? Windows does that just fine and if it's all the ebil Microsoft gizmoes that you don't want to use then just install another internet browser and email client. Why you could even skin windows so it looks nothing like windows, but that usually causes things to load up slowly anyway.
  13. I just watched the vid, it's not the same one as I had but it's still rather funny.
  14. Removed I come across a vid of some guy playing Doom 3 in the dark. Don't know if anyone has seen it but here is the link. I garantee tears of laughter. Gotta admit I was too scared to play it to the end. Plus I had EVE distracting me. Linky to their website for more videos. Notice from KuBi: Removed first line. Questionable content
  15. It's still a bit too expensive atm for me. And there aren't that many games out. But I must admit, every time I walk past a shop that has one on display it does attract my attention for a while. It be great if they had testers out, like they do with the DS or other Gameboys when they came out. But I guess it is too expensive to let kids get their grubby hands on it and break the knobbly bits. Stupid humans.Anyway, it'll most likely drop down in price in about a year and have a bigger variety of games out so I'm just going to save my pennies and get one sometime in the future.

    What To Do

Be thankful that euthanasia is illegal in most countries and pray s/he will pull through and recover. GL with whatever happens.
  17. Virus?Try and see what processe(s) is taking up the most CPU in the Windows Task Manager>Processes tab. Maybe that bit of information can help the more technical minded ones here.
  18. Isn't this illegal? I'm pretty sure you can install CS 1.6 using the HL2 Steam ID so why would you want anyone elses? Unless you are using an illegal version that has been banned or you have been banned from servers for cheating.
  19. What I find hard is how we have to keep active on the forums nearly all the time but no spamming. What is considered spam? Could I write a really long post that makes no real sense but will give me a lot of credits and hope a mod doesn't take them off me for a *BLEEP* post?Or what if I wrote a story that does make sense, with correct spelling and grammar and it all makes sense. Will I not get credits for it because it's pretty useless on these forums. Maybe the credit system needs to be redone so people who don't/can't post much get a chance to keep their websites active. Like say every credit is worth 2/3 days of uptime.
  20. All these are good ideas but you try and get the general public out of their fast/big luxury cars with air conditioning, sat nav, CD/MD/MP3 player, comfy seats, clean smell etc etc etc, and into public transport. Or even a small car. The fact is public transport is *BLEEP* and seems to be getting expensive by the day. For example when I remember a few years ago adult single on a bus used to be 70p, now in the space of a couple of years it costs ?1.20. And the transport hasn't really gotten that much better. Buses and trains still tend to arrive late or in some places few and far between. Journeys take a long time. Where a trip to work could take 10mins by car it can take 30mins or more. So you have to get up a bit earlier, which noone likes doing, just to get to work on time. And lets not forget how dirty they are, but that's more the people who use the transport. I think the main reason people were queuing like mad was because there was a scare of a strike or shortage. The alst time we did have one causaed a lot of chaos. Petrol would easily sell for over ?1 a litre untill things settled down again. Topping up before a strike could save you loads + it's always good to have a car full of petrol incase of emergencies.
  21. Yes you do have to install a program on your computer so you can comunicate with it, pretty much like all other remote access programs. You can connect to the WAP through GPRS and GSM (sorry I wrote it in a confusing way) so it might work through GSM but I'm not 100% sure. I don't know if this is a question or if your trying to make a point. No it's not just for my country nor is this something specific to a network operator. It's a 3rd party app that connects through the WAP, which I'm pretty sure every mobile operator in the world has. Don't use it then. Maybe if you read the website and looked through the FAQ it might give you a bit more information.
  22. Ever wanted to connect to your computer through your phone? Want to show off to your geek friends? Then go here. Its a small app which you install on your phone and computer that lets you access your PC through the WAP/GPRS. It may seem a bit useless but if you need something to do on your PC and you have no other way of tunneling through then this could come pretty handy. I haven't had the chance to use it as my phone broke just before I discovered this (what are the odds) so can't really vouch for how good it is. But from the website description it seems to be able to let you control your mouse and keyboard. This is limited to most Java enabled phones with a colour screen. Well I havent read anywhere that it needs a colour screen but I think it's pretty obvious it does. Also I doubt it would work on all Java, colour phones as the client you install on the phone is 60kb/80kb (depending if you get the 'lite' version or not). Now I know my Nokia won't let me install apps that are over 54kb i believe so common sense says it won't fit on all phones. I'm using a 7250i atm. Anyway it looks like a nifty app but before ussing it extensively you should check out how much kb it uses on the wap. You don't want to exceed you rlimit and starting paying stupid prices per meg. (It's about Ł3 per meg in the UK, depending on your operator).
  23. Sigh. Last year in April EVE:Online claimed another victim. I'm now completely hooked on it. Even when there isn't much going on I'd sit and read the forums a bit or look at the market. If I didn't have a girlfriend I'd probably spend all my free time living in this virtual world. University starting soon and I think they block all ports bar the web browser port on the network so I should be able to get down to some studying while I'm living there.Tehn again I might try and sweet talk the network admin to unblock port 26000 so I can play EVE. I doubt it would work tough. So yeah I guess I am a MMOG addict. If your not playing one run while your still free. RUN I say!
  24. I can't remember if the cd was specific to the hardware. But if it wasn't why not try and borrow it from a friend that might have it. Failing that you could try and download it.
  25. Isn't Gunz similar to that HL mod The Specialists. And also Action HL and there was another really old mod but I can't remember the name. It might have been an early version of TS since, if I remember correctly, it the same moves and weapons bar a bit less.
