  1. I feel like sushi. Time for getting some ingredients! But first, class....o_o(cucumber, imitation crab, carrots, seaweed, avocado...just a shopping list here, now that my ipod's gone V_V)

  2. I know I should be doing laundry, and I'm starving. =P Yet, I just want to glue my eyes to the computer and procrastinate on studying... Not good.

    1. NNNOOOOOO

      NNNOOOOOO

Hmm: laundry, eat, procrastinate, study. How it should be done: eat, laundry and study, procrastinate.

  3. Gyah....It's half an hour until class, yet I don't feel like attending...the SB feeling won't shake off.

  4. Sometimes, despite occasional Chrome's idiocy, I am amazed how it could predict what I wanted to find.

  5. had been dozing off in a class she doesn't normally doze off in today. Oh well. Her Spring Break starts now! She had been in an interesting conversation with Nick last night while multitasking a take-home quiz and its required reading. Yup. No wonder she's sleepy.

anwii, that reminds me of a story.

  6. Sometimes, feelings can get extremely hard to sort out. This is one of those times.

  7. When it comes to school Internet problems at my residence, I have a reason to believe that it's starting to affect my building now. o.o

  8. Maybe I ought to have brought a small table with me so I can sit on the floor and do my hw, instead of just using the desk or lying on the floor. I can use it depending on my mood.

  9. You know, the one thing that's just absolutely ridiculous about having relationships is that you're currently in one, but go to a school that's just hours away from your lover. What's even more complicated-you're torn btween staying w/ yer current, (assuming that you're in good, healthy grounds) & moving on just bcuz you want to find someone else better (or have a crush or 2 in my case).Oh how fickle a human heart is.

  10. Sometimes, I drive myself mad.

  11. A-HA! So then they (Tropical (mainstream) Astrologers) FINALLY decided to synchronize with the night sky, huh? But I didn't really expect that they'd include Ophiuchus, but just as well, though I have just learned that the ancient Babylonians that didn't want 13 signs. Who knows, perhaps there's a reason why they did so, I can only speculate.Old news to me, anyway.

  12. Take a good look at Singapore. People have their freedom...HOWEVER, you cannot litter, burglarize others, vandalize people's property or otherwise you'd receive a hefty fine and be given a couple of swats with a cane on the behind in public right on the spot. It doesn't matter if you a politician, a wealthy investor, or even a tourist, you cannot get away with it. You cannot bribe or sue to make them go your way. Some American lawyer or tourist tried to do sue against the Singaporean government a few years back on the actions that his teen's son got caught upon doing a few years back. He failed. You'd be amazed at how strict they are with their rules and laws. I half wish that our country would have done that. There'd be less corruption, less thievery that way. No Columbine. No VT. Unfortunately, given the vastness of our country, it's almost impossible. Corrupted people won't like that. As my college French teacher once told us, "The US DIDN'T LISTEN to our warnings of a possible terrorist attack. And now, the planes went 'KAPOOSH'. THEY WOULD HAVE AVOIDED THAT!!!" Ok, so it's a little dramatic on my part, but when she first told us about that, I didn't know if she was joking or if she was serious. If she was, what the hell happened to our intelligence agency?! They were SUPPOSED to protect us from harm. Looks to me that they either didn't do their job, turned a blind eye, or was bribed by the evil corporations. I know its a bit straying from my original topic. Don't you think it's a tad bit fishy that a corporate leader of a big company just suddenly decided run for governor, make "too good to be true" promises, and blow millions/billions of dollars of their own pocket money? That happened during our recent gubernatorial race. Luckily, she didn't win. The reason for the introduction of this bill is, call me paranoid, because the big businesses want control of the internet, hence the "blacklist". Most of our society's elected politicians, many of whom who aren't mentally sound, are slowly bowing down to the will of the corporates and their business lobbyists. They're likely the reason why our education are recently down in the dumps, especially in my state of California. They try to avoid taxes by "creating jobs", and some of the bigger offenders refuse to pay any taxes at all, which is beneficial to many of our free public services, many more that actually need "welfare money" than the abusers, keeping national and state parks low cost and sometimes free. Good quality education in k-12 and 2-year colleges free and state university systems low cost, as well as rehabilitation for juveniles, former inmates, and those who suffered a tragic or an abusive past. Instead, many of these are cut, which is what my boyfriend is paranoid about. Our current president is under the pressure of business lobbyists to give up his "Internet freedom for All" stance. One of my other friends and his father is also paranoid about monopolies, corporations, and such. Moi, quality education for all at little to no cost, as previously stated. At the same time, I also want see that all familes and individuals that aren't suffering from the hands of others, particularly our right to speak our honest truths on the internet and the right to read and learn and protest and rebel against the tyranny of others. Of course, the internet still *needs* some protection from the harmful acts of others whether it would be computer-related or people-related, but the blacklist bill just doesn't cut it. It just speaks tyranny of big businesses. That's more of my vent. A little bit disorganized though.
  13. I don't know about all of you, but I for one, would hate to see all the freedom that we have with the internet would just...disappear. China forcing Google to make China "the happiest place on Earth" when everyone else knew that China isn't all that innocent. Then they control people how much they get to spend on the internet? It's bad enough already. I'm glad that I don't live there, but now, I face the threat of not being able to browse sites in the way I please (not the unmentionables, of course), nor blog in the way I please, nor even be able to post on content in the way I please without the fear of being blacklisted just because some big business feels threatened by my (completely innocent) content. It even threatens my life as a hobby side-scripter and web designer, including my life as a student Education for All rights activist. Free hosting sites like this might not even get a chance to exist because other companies are demanding that every web-designer wannabe to pay up if their site are to be hosted. If that happens, what if they suddenly decide that we aren't allowed to view websites outside of the US? Chat with our families and friends who live in another country? If you all are also worried about net neutrality and would like to petition like I am: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://act.demandprogress.org/act/wyden/?referring_akid=60.283049.hnyl26&source=typ-fb
  14. I am just seriously too shocked to say how I liked the way you've been supportive of me when I started out two-three months ago. I had every intention of posting as much as I can, on top of school and all. But because there aren't as much topics as I wanted to post from, so it just makes it difficult for me even post a lot more without spamming. So therefore, I intermittently appear every now and then. Erza, who signed up about the same time as I did, did a very good job in posting, much better than I did. Like you, Anwii, I'm someone who mainly reply to already-started topics. Unique to myself and probably a few others, I will read topics that catch my eye. I won't normally post unless I have something to say. I won't normally start topics unless I have something I really wanted to post. When I do, however, it's just very difficult to rouse interest on something not related to asking for help and other technical questions. However, I must say that my days on the forums aren't what it used to be. It could be very difficult for me start posting stuff like crazy. Like others, I would very much like you to stay, but because you're your own person, we can plead all we want but we can't force you to stay.I too, wish for the revival of Trap 17/KS. What on earth happened to Opaque? I'd very much like to meet him one day. On the forums, that is.Who knows, maybe someone will come by and help us truly revive KS and make it like what it used to be.
  15. What I don't get is why this government let some of these schools go to waste. It should be a safe environment that everyone enjoys coming to. Instead, all the government does is "tightening" up learning on students, make school liable if they don't improve standards, shut them down, and more than likely fire all the teachers in that "bad" school. Dude, the only reason why some schools or cities are so bad is because they don't even put enough training into teachers and don't even take into account that the "bad" schools are located in low-income neighborhoods where violence are more than likely to occur. Of course kids aren't gonna be able to concentrate--and the many that are affected show this by disrupting the "safe place" through fights, thievery and vandalism, as well as other forms of delinquency. I'm mad as hell as a future educator. However, with the school I had gone to, it was in a pretty decent neighborhood, with some healthy bit of rivalry.
  16. Hopefully we'll see you again. Good luck to...life!My life has been currently tying up some loose ends in a couple of games I play. Life for me will definitely start picking up in a couple of weeks as school starts up again.
  17. Bwaah...a 2.8!Nearly a B average, too! If&only if... -I hadn't screwed up on that book quiz by being forgetful(It's also the teacher's fault 4 only giving us map quizzes),prob. solid B.-the teacher reminded us about jeans during our teaching&then some.Maybe a B+?-I had asked the teacher about that last paper,I would've kept that A.But I know I can always do better. The 1st term@a new school is likely the toughest.

  18. For some strange reason, as she was practicing the piano today, she was shot with old memories regarding to music. She is beginning to wonder why it was bothering her if it wasn't unpleasant. Funny it hasn't happened during her earlier practices this week.

  19. Looks like I failed to get up early again. >.>

  20. I'm currently shopping for good, reputable flash drive manufacturers. At the same time, I'm also looking for those whose flash drive products that consider people's budget. There are two brands I'm currently using. 1. Kingston: I think is a good company because I've brought their products. Few the older ones that I had broke or slightly broken because of my abuse. Whoops. 2. Lexar: I'm currently testing out this brand because I'm thinking about moving on to a new, probably more reliable, brand besides Kingston. This way, in case one goes down in the dumps, I'll have another to rely on. One brand for some reason I think is a bit unreliable. Why? I think it's just me. 1. Sandisk: Otherwise I think I would use its products just for SD cards for cameras and their photos. One brand I completely refuse to use (Don't try to convince me): 1. Sony: Back some years ago, there was this incident where you insert a CD (I think for installation) from Sony. A lot of consumers were expecting this one product, but unknowingly, there was another product that secretly installed itself from that CD. Ever since I had heard of that incident, I decided not to buy from that manufacturer ever, even though that incident has long cleared up. So, bring up your best arguments as to which "new, reliable" brand I should be using! Also note that it will be used to help back up my family's Mac Snow Leopard OS before sending it for repair.
  21. Thanks to Gabe for reminding me about the lunar eclipse tonight...The only reason why I forgot about is because I didn't have too much hope for the weather. Gaah! Stupid SF weather! D=

  22. I tried that and I still end up saving in htm/html instead of the pdf I wanted. What the hell is Adobe thinking?
  23. Ok, so I appreciate what they're trying to do to "lessen" the crash that normally comes associated with pdf documents. What I hate now is that I cannot find the save feature it has. I all I found is that when I roll over towards bottom the document's screen the options to scroll sideways, up and down, and zoom in and out show up. I also happen to enjoy the option to skip to certain pages when there are more than 5 pages long. But anyway, there are a couple of school documents that show up in pdf on my school online learning system that I want to save a copy to my computer, but I cannot save. When I do, I instead end up saving the webpage in html instead. Has anybody else come across this problem and know how to get around it? Or do I have to somehow find a way to install and older version? Thanks
  24. An 87 for the first exam, 82 for the second, and 92 for the final... That averages out to a high B for all three exams! Add to the stuffs done for PE micro-teaching (not telling) and attendance/participation (A, I think)...my rough estimate comes to maybe a low B or a high C for kinesiology? Cripes! A B-'s better than a C+ and a B's is better than a B-! *crosses fingers*

  25. Crap. I think I'm gonna hafta drop that winter class. Money has not yet been deposited! I could on a rant about how ridiculous this whole tuition is, but I'm going to stop riiiight here.
