  1. what would YOU rather believe in? faith, or FACT?

Hmmmm... good question. Well fact is undeniable. "If I had seen it with my own eyes..."
But having faith allows you to believe at a different level I think. Fact is very concrete, no room for imagination.
Faith is belief based on trust. Fact is belief based on itself.
    Man that's a good question....

I think i would rather believe in faith, gut feeling. I guess if I have concrete evidence for something, then I don't need to 'believe in it' it just IS a fact.

  2. Well i would say that the drivers for the touch pad are not 100% compatible with 7. It happens all the time. But usually even if the manufacturer doesn't provide you with a driver, there are those out there who write their own drivers. i would do an exhaustive search on google for that such problem. I bet someone out there has had the same problem and found a solution for it, you just have to search.

  3. Well that would certainly depend on who's death we are referring to. It it was my own death, than yes, it would change my life (so to speak) because I wouldn't have a life anymore. But if you are referring to how death of another person, maybe someone close to us, affects our lives, well that's a whole different ball game. So just explain a little more :) Please

  4. Macs are just too specific. They built a system where you are suckered in. Everything you buy has to be built or made for specifically for the Mac, hence the higher price. And people who use macs are just as brainwashed as the mac employees themselves. It's like the iPhone. Touch screen has been around for a while, but since Mac got it's hand int o the mix, everyone thinks they invented it. They did not. Just as microsoft didn't invent windows, xerox did. They all steal from one another and claim it innovations.Well i don't fall for it. Everything I have is generic, for a reason. Something goes bad, i can go get another piece and replace it. I can upgrade cheaper, I can rebuild cheaper, i can do everything cheaper on a PC.

  5. I respect the beliefs of many people on many things. They have one thing in common - they are based on knowledge and expertise rather than faith and waffle.

There are many beliefs systems based on faith. All religions are based on faith. Your belief in science is based on faith.
There are too many uncertainties in this world to have anything based on fact. And I would bet to say that there are more beliefs based on faith then there are beliefs based on facts.

  6. There are a lot of services I would offer to help your perspective clients. teach them things like, money making tips (google adsense, etc) maybe offer streaming content hosting, remote support (one click support, you could use VNC and Hamachi for secure connections). marketing tips, social networking integration and or teaching (showing them how to set up fan pages etc)

  7. I am driving a Ford Explorer 4 door POS. The thing barely gets 10 miles to the gallon, no air conditioning (and it sucks, I live in Houston and drive an hour to AND from work), the heat only works in the back of the truck, so on the days it does get cold down here, I'm freezing. My next car, I want a Chrysler Crossfire. I love that care. Reminds me of my dad's Daustun 280Z, now THAT was a car....

  8. If you believe that then would you say that you would treat a child in the same manner? If the child does good, you reward the child. I don't know growing up if I ever did good, got rewarded, and I said I got rewarded because of the grace of my parents, not because of the good I did.God doesn't brag about us being good. He rewards, just as you would a child. In same regard, When we do bad God does not punish us, he allows the consequences to take care of that. When your child does bad, do you just say, oh well it's all you brother. Do you blame the parents for his upbringing that led him to such travesties? No you blame the person, because they made the decision to do that act. You are born with a knowledge of right and wrong. When a child does wrong, it's first reaction is to lie. Why? Because we are born with a sinful nature.People should understand that God is not here to hurt you, he is here to save you.And I think the biggest problem people have with God, is that they know they have done wrong and they are going to have to answer to him for it. Just as you would to your parents, or to authority in general. And people with free will hate that, either here on earth or in heaven. So what do you do when you know you did wrong but dont want to admit it? Blame it on someone else. And a good person to blame it on? God.Ya know God didn't invent disease, man did. God didn't invent death, man did. We chose to make the wrong decision. Simple as that.

  9. How can you bring Gravity into this? Can you tell me 100% by what magical circumstance is gravity created and in charge of this? For decades people have said that gravity is created by forces spinning, then it was said that gravity was like a ball on a rubber mat. A bend in space. Now gravity in and around a black hole defies all of that be being sucked into the center of an object? So which is it? Is a black hole using gravity to pull things in, or some other force? If light can not escape a black hole, would you not agree then that gravity has nothing to do with it? Because I don't believe light is affected by gravity."According to Einstein's General Relativity Theory, light will be affected in the same way matter is affected by gravity. This is because under this theory, we should think of gravity not in terms of vector like forces, but as a consequence of the "shape" of the universe."

  10. I have set up a few sites with Paypal, just because of the fact that it was easy. It did everything for ya, just cop the code.I personally like VirtueMart. I think, as a free shopping cart, it has everything you could want in one. osCommerce, I think is a bit heavy and complex. Now I could be wrong, i haven't used it in quite some time.Have they changed much in the releases of this shopping cart?

  11. Ya know, Acer used to bea major player in the realms of computers, and I'm not quite sure what happened to them. But then all of a sudden, they started making these real high end laptops, like the Ferrari or Lambo models, or whatever they were, and then BAM they are back in it.Now a days I hear nothing but good stuff about Acer laptops. Actually being rated higher then dell and HP. Which is cool i think.I might have to consider getting one down the road :)

  12. Most laptop are fairly easy to take apart. I guess in the minds of the manufacturers, they tried to make a small set of standards, and some of these companies adhere to it. For instance, if you want to take your keyboard out, there is usually a plastic strip going across the top of the laptop, near the screen, above the keyboard. And You normally have to pry it up using a small screwdriver. Once the one side is up, it's just a matter of prying it loose down the length of that plastic strip, or bezel as it's called.Once that comes up, then there is usually 4 small screws holding it in place. Just remove the screws and then the keyboard will be loose.

  13. So growing up, I always heard the Mustard seed story told like this:

Jesus told them verily, verily I say unto thee, if ye had faith that of a mustard seed, you can say to the mountain move forth with, and it will move

And it was always explained like this. If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, because a mustard seed is very small, you can do anything. Everyone is given a measure of faith, you just need to believe you have it.
And later after I got saved, I went back and re read that passage, and ya know what I saw it a little differently, and it made a huge impact on my life.

The statement that Jesus made was this, "If you had faith that OF a mustard seed". He didn't say faith the size of a mustard seed, he said faith OF.
Now, to me, that meant something completely different. To me this said, "If you have faith like that of a mustard seed..."

Faith that of... A seed has no soul. It just does what it is supposed to do, grow. You put the seed into the ground and it will do what it was designed to do, because that is all it knows. It does what it was told to do, grow and bear fruit (or mustard as it were)

We as humans need to do the same. Understand we are here for a purpose and just do it, without question. You were designed a specific way for the kingdom of God, so just shut up, stop complaining, asking dumb questions and just do it.

And if you are willing to do that, then God will provide everything you need in order to 'grow' just as he would when the mustard seed starts to grow. He provide the mustard seed with rain, nutrients, sunlight, etc. He will provide for us the needs of our lives as long as we do what we were meant to do.

Just something I wanted to share with those who believe :)

  14. The words I have always heard it in are, "God will never give you anything more than you can handle"But I take that sometimes as good and bad.Yes I am sure that God will never give me anything bad that I can't handle, because it would not help me in my growth, and my faith in believing I can get through said problem. But then i hit a road block in my life, and I found the same statement to be true about good things. For instance if you get a huge sum of money and you blow right through it without any concern for the future, or without paying your tithes, then back to the statement, "God will never give you anything more than you can handle." If he doesn't think you can handle winning the lottery, because he knows you spend it all on crap, then guess what, he won't give it to you. That is how I see that.

  15. DO you believe that networking helps or hinders your chances at success? There are some schools of thought that say you need to be a social butterfly in order to be able to make networking work for you to it's fullest potential.Personally i think networking can help, but I certainly don't think that it's going to help you become rich or overly successful. i believe it can be a good stepping stone into bigger and better things. What do you think?

  16. Wow, thanks for all the replies guys. I will look into those options as well. It's always good to have more avenues than actual opportunities, because those avenues CAN provide opportunities. I am sure something will pan out eventually, but as you know it can take a while. I guess the thing that worries me the most is running out of money before I find a job. Freelance is a great idea, but it's hard to be a freelance tech. I have other skills, but those other skills are no where near anything compare to others doing the same job. So... hopefully, I will think of something that will make me well off :) I am sure with the ideas I have and the internet and the help of Xisto, I'll come up with something.

  17. i just got a new laptop a month ago as a wedding gift as well as a new puppy. a month later my puppy is a little bigger he managed to jump up to my seat and pushed my tea over all onto my laptop. i did everything ur suppose to do to keep it from a melt down. and its doing fine. only problem is these damn sticky keys....is there a way to get stickyness off without breaking my keys.my laptop is a hp compaq.can anyone please help me?

Well you won't break the keys off your laptop, they are removable. Just use a small screwdriver to pop them off. They will fight you a little, but they WILL pop off I promise you. Make sure it's unplugged when doing this though, and the battery is out.

Then use a mild cleaning solution to clean the keyboard and keys. You could soak the keys if you wanted to after popping them off. and use a q-tip to clean the surface of the keyboard after popping the keys off. I would recommend something like windex to clean it up. That should do it. Then just pop the keys back on after they are all dry, and you should be good to go.

  18. I am in no way an expert on the subject, but I would have to say that being a good leader, manager takes a few key qualities.1) Integrity2) Knowledge of the job3) Fairness4) OrganizationOf these four qualities, Integrity stands out to be the most important I think. You need to be able to do what you say you are going to do, and stand by your decisions. Don't lie, and don't kiss *bottom*.What do you think?
