  1. Yes, I totally agree to the title. This goes with one of my old post here, about not revealing your feeling unless you really mean it.There are many people in this world, and of course, many opinions and values. One thing may be a game to one person, but for another it may be the source of life.Love may be this one thing. If you ask me, I don't think Dana is guilty. You may say she's selfish, but not everyone's as mentally fortified as you are. Maybe she haven't had enough experience for her to reason out a solution.By no means am I supporting sucide, I am just saying that it's not her fault. As a matter of fact, it may be noone's fault at all.Everyone of us is a human being. None of us is superior enough to be the judge and decide's whose fault it is. Sometimes, life's life. However, it's sad to think that Steven, after 8 months, did not know how mentally unstable Dana was. And... if he knew, why broke up so abruptly. I don't think anyone's love life is as important as requiring to throw away someone else's love at a minute's notice. Before confessing one's love, make sure you understand the possible commitment. You never know how the one you are confessing to really is.Always think before actions. You may be able to handle consequences of rash actions, but others may not. Perception can only go so far.
  2. With such a dangerous strand of virus, I am pretty certain that adequate preventive measures are in proper place. And of course, as new things are being research, I am sure some good medicinal or at least knowledge should arises.Of course, there's always that "risk, " but what in life doesn't carry some sorts of risk with it.No risks, no reward. It's a statement from one of Jet Li's movie i think.
  3. Yeah, i agree with jack. Zonealarm and avg free personal edition is great to use.Along with them, I also use adaware. They all are free; not only that, there is also periodical updates that you can download for free as new defenses are made up to treat current threats.
  4. wow, you seems to really like this girl. What I usually ask myself and pretty much always not "go for it" is "am i really going to marry this girl." And, of course, 99.9999% of the times I will say "no."Therefore, if you haven't caught on already; yeah, i never really got into a relationship.Well, i guess my advice to you is if you can answer positively to the question: "I want to marry this girl!" then yeah, go for it.You, and many, probably won't agree. But as a serious person, that my advice.good luck
  5. yeah, sounds unique, and useful at times, especially if you are waiting for an email that you know are coming at any second. With that, you would not need to consistently "refresh."Still, how many times do we know we will recieve email or is awaiting impatiently email; not like I would think. And the flash apparantly must take more random-access-memory (RAM) and would a heavy load on non-high-end computers.Well, nothing is perfect. According to our preferences we need just settle on the best options. However, in my case, i don't think the probability of being slowed down by the flash is going to prompt me to try the email service.Right now, hotmail and yahoo seem to do just fine for me.Well, maybe gowwy will appeal to you more, happy trials.
  6. I agree with the "always do a clean install" stuff. I understand that some average computer user may not be capable of transfering their files and format a drive, and it's not very bad if that person does not use the computer a lot.But if you are one of those people who use the computer a lot, but whose skills is still average. I suggest you read guides online or ask for a knowledgeable friend's help.A clean install is well worth the trouble. Also, when purchasing a Windows XP disk, buy the Windows XP Full Version; don not buy Windows XP Upgrade disk. With a Windows XP Full Version disk, you will be able to install Windows XP on a new or freshly-formated hard drive, which is very convenient according to my experiences.Good Luck.
  7. Well, after about a week of playing, I have some opinions I would like to share.1. Free members may hold professions, according to a post I read at Dofus's Forum, all professions except alchemy. So far I have only tried farming and harvest some wheat. The bad thing is if you are on a screen where there are multiple wheat cutters in the area, expect serious lagging.2. Traveling gets annoying. It reminds me of old zelda games ( you know, interact with one screen, then wait for the loading of next screen before interacting with the next screen is possible. I don't know about you, but for me, traveling squares after squares to get to a destination that is 10-20 squares away is really uncool.3. It seems food only heals health points after battle or before battle. Food cannot be used in battle. Please correct me if I am wrong.4. Also, it seems the only way to fight a person is to challenge them. I kind of miss the excitement when you are unexpectedly being attacked like in Tibia, but I don't like Tibia because of experience loss after death.Oh well, I guess I will be going on another search for mmorpgs to try.I guess I'm tired of Dofus now.Hope you all have better luck with dofus.
  8. Yes, thanks for letting us now this piece of info.I was kind of rpg-free for a while now, and after seeing this I actually went and tried it out.So far, so good:The fighting: (from my noobie experience) Moving uses mp. Fighting including spells uses ap. Battle screen is on a grid-like platform and while some attacks require the opponent to be right besides the attacker (short range, and melee), other attacks span over a number of squares on the grid (long range). It's kind of hard to explain, but to me, the concept is pretty interesting. If you are a role-playing gamer, i think you should try it.Being free, the restriction that i see so far is like you can't leave the city that you start off with. However, the city does have some varieties of monsters of different levels so it should keep you busy for a while if you like fighting.Oh yeah, and the monsters regenerate pretty fast, don't worry about the scarcity of monsters (if you are familiar with Tibia, you know what I mean). As for professions, like farming for your own food or fishing, I'm not sure if it's availabe to free members. If anyone in this forum knows more about this, please post. Thanks and I hope my post help those who may be reluctant to try out the game.
  9. lol, I love spongebob squarepants.I think it is a very clever show, not only is it appropriate for kids, but it is also extremely hilarious.IF I remember correctly, I was there watching Spongebob Squarepants when it was first feature. yeah, I was there and watch the first episode of Spongebob Squarepants on Nickelodeon.Darn, so long since the last time I watch Nickelodeon, I wonder if I had spelled it right. Looks so unfamiliar.Oh well, life moves on.
  10. Looks a little old fashion. You know, not 3-d figures and such, but everythings seems to blend. That's ccool.
  11. Looks bold.Especially with Halloween coming up, perfect for the occasion.
  12. It's cool.I haven't seem many sig with live-human-beings in them lately. So it's something different, nice for the varieties perceived by the eyes.
  13. I think it's pretty cool. You know with the 3d-graphic of that mortal-kombat-like character.and the background is slick
  14. I like it.The round unique shape of the robot signifies some humor to me. lol
  15. Really, I thought there are some legitimate banner exchanges sites around. And I always thought 2:1 is common.I guess I'm wrong, or maybe I never really try them exchanges out.
  16. Yeah, I agree with you all.I guess I kind of started to really get into php scripting around August.By now, in only 2-3 months, I am not happy to say that I am capable of doing quite some things with php.
  17. Sometimes, an author of an html codes may think that after a good amount of time spending and knitting codes together, they feel that the "used time" = "rewards" for themself and don't want other to enjoy the benefits without a sweat.I know I sometimes feel like that. Yeah, I admit it's kind of selfish, but hey, if you want something really bad, you will be willing to work for it.
  18. I agree with Kim, there should be no excuses. However, when some people say the words "live like there's no tomorrow", it can also means that instead of wasting time and doing selfish things, the person should live the last day repenting for their committed sins and do what good they could with the time and resources alloted. So I guess the factor that determines with my agreeing with the person is how he/she perceive that STATEMENT.Words can be the same, but no interpretation matches.
  19. Time is resources, and since we used up time, there is a product to it. ON that take, I agree with mama_soap. When you all mention that you all have wasted time, I kind of have a contrading opion on that. I mean, If you were to be able to go back, would you much likely spend your time much more efficient? Probably not, right? Why not? Well, it could be possilbe that society makes it that way. Does not many of us consider a career to be 1 of the most accomplished thing in life? But unless we are super geniuses, we have to spend a dozen years to complete high school, then couple of years to progress with the requirements.Yeah, some roads require less schooling, but many people probably agree with me that we learn more than we need to for our career. I'm not saying it's a waste because it does make one more of a rounded person.Still, time is a limited resourse in life, and many, ok, at least some will be wiling to be less of a well-rounded person, but are able to progress with their career sooner.IN other words, b4 u're 18, society pretty much limits your power. And the less power you have, the less effective the choices you can make.therefore, my view is that society made it that way so that you are likely to waste your time. It's part of LIFE, i guess. Time is there to use, and we as humans do not use sparingly.
  20. To me, power is the ability of oneself to independently live and support oneself.Though a helping hands is often necessary at times, I think one who least depend on others is the most powerful, no matter if depending on others for social activities or live support.
  21. Companies always fight for domination, but I think it's cool that this would give some people an easier way to stay in contact with others.Simplicity is always appreciated.
  22. I think college is usally a smaller institution, and you only go there for like 2 years or max possibly 4 years, but I'm not sure. I guess they don't have graduated programs like studies after 4 years, etc.As for how people stand going to "those places," I'm not sure, but for me, it's all about expectation that motivates me.I mean, what do you want to be in life (when you grow up), and usually a more-demanding career requires "higher learning," and me and others like me put up with them things.
  23. I think it's cool, though I would go more with another style of character. He kinds of look plain, barbaric even, but the artistic elements is good.
  24. True that, ciroxyz, as a matter of fact, I only have a little over one hosting credit left, lol. Sorry I took you too seriously. Cool_Freaker, it's nice to hear that you have some similar thoughts about the subjects that I mentioned.Yeah, parents are usally the boring ones, but hey, there's always an exception. And to me, antisocial means "just another way of life" that doesn't seek bothersome commitments. I don't know if anyone agrees with me here, but I think that there are commitments to even plain friendships, and I'm too lazy to be obligated to do more than what my lazy self have to do. Serentity, I almost never share my feelings outside this forum, so oh well. To tell you the truth, I sometimes wonder if those who always complain, etc. should look more within themselves for a solution. For every downfall that one experiences, it only strengthen them internally. To, me, anyways; though I understand that sometimes people does need help with their problems and must share their feelings. And I admit I fall into that category sometimes, but I try to do it minimally.Every help that I get, I feel like I owe lots to the helper, and I wholeheartedly hate that "oweing" feeling.
  25. dang, python must have been real hungry if it took the phrase "I'm so hungry I can eat an alligator" literally.WE say that sometimes, but it's just a saying. Man, that python got guts, lots of it.
