Bandwidth For all the idiots out there xD
Dynomite replied to Evil_Amuter_WebsiteCoder's topic in General Discussion
Your bandwidth was clocked at5.70 MbpsThat seems pretty good...Is that good, I think it is, pages always load quickly for me... -
I don't think it is a waste. Tell me what is a waste about it, here is one example of something useful that NASA has done with the space program. Whewn they crashed the satallite into the meteor or comet whichever it was (I don't follow the news close enough to know) you probably looked at it and said a waste of money before considering why NASA would spend so much money to crash something so expensive before you even considered looking at the beneficial aspects of it. One theory for the dinosuars becoming extinct is an asteroid hitting Earth right? What if one where to hit Earth now, it would mean the end of man-kind, they crashed it into the asteroid/comet so they could find out it's compostition to learn how to defend Earth against one if one was going to hit Earth. It really isn't as simple as shooting a missille at it as you might assume, that too would be dangerous in itself... NASA really just needs to get on-track with the manned space program, there is more to NASA than just Space Shuttles you know...

Well, my name is Brian, so here it is: I like it, it's all slashy and dashy and stuff... I'm going to print it out and make one of those "Hello I am" name tags... That'd be a nice little joke... -
Did You Have A Tamaguci (also Known As Digipet)! I remember...
Dynomite replied to adriantc's topic in General Discussion
I remember tamagotci, those things where aweseome, you could make a fish, or a dog, or cat, or a dinosaur, or all sorts of things, and stuff, and then when you wanted them to die you just take a pen and jab it into the reset button and wow , make a new demonic creature and spend your life taking care of it, I can't believe I ever had one now that I look back... -
How Many Computers Are There Where You Live
Dynomite replied to Guevara's topic in General Discussion
There are 2 in my house, but only one of them can even work on the internet, the other is too old to attatch a modem , my new one is really good though, it's very fast, and has good graphics and sound cards. There really isn't much to say about them but one is good and one sucks. -
Security Issue With Ctrl+c/copy On Clipboard
Dynomite replied to cse-icons's topic in Security issues & Exploits
That will all only work if you use Internet Exlporer or a crappy browser like it, so those of us who use FireFox are protected from it by default, unless you can find an extension for FireFox that enables that.It just goes to show you Internet Exlporer is useless trash... -
It took me .35 milliseconds for Xisto to respond. This is very good, Xisto always loads very quickly for me, as does my site, maybe I just have a good connection, but I had always thought I had a very slow connection. Also isn't pinging a site alot not good for servers?

Your right alperuzi Bush was very slow to act, most think it's because Louisiana is the poorest area in America, and is mostly comprised of African Americans, and frankly I agree one-hundred percent. There really needs to be more support from the federal government, there has been an amazing level of support from the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, and other orginazations, almost everyone one of them done by private/ non-governmental orginizations. One thing I'm apaulled by is the fact of how quickly Bush reacted to the Tsunami, but then when tragedies with equal magnitude or possibly more happens to his own country it takes him almost five full days to even take a survey of the damage. He has already signed 10 Billion dollars for relief efforts, but although I'm not posotive, I am fairly sure that the damage costs alone where matching up to, or higher than that of Hurricane Andrew a few years ago which costed nearly five times as much as that. One thing I'm really not as upset about as others are is the fact that there has been no international support. I blame Bush for this too, when he was asked about it he said Alot of people are angry at other countries, and have a theory that they have not helped because they are all waiting for America to trip, metaphorically speaking. One of the first things alot of countires do that they might not even realise is that when a disaster happens to them is ask the US for money. In the tsunami I don't know if money was asked for, but I know more was given than what was given for Hurricane Katrina, and alot of people over-seas called America cheap for only giving 'x' amount of billions of dollars, while I think this story has some merit I am too angry with Bush to chose that over my theory right now. Another thing alot of people want to know is where is the Army? There are not a good amount of Army units placed in Louisiana right now, which only helps the looters and those trying to steal ambulances by shooting the ones driving them. The army is of course in Iraq, when they could at least be looking for Osama Bin Ladden which I believe Bush doesn't care at all about. He's spent hundreds of billions finishing daddy's war, but now he can spend more then a fraction of the amount needed to restore peace and utilities like gas and electricity to one of Americas large cities that is a center for anything sent through boats. Before the hurrican gas around here was almost 3.50 dollars a gallon, now I've seen it as high as 4-6 dollars a gallon. Then there is the levvy that broke which if there is any hope of getting rid of the flood water that will need to be fixed, other wise whenever any water dries up (after weeks and weeks) the tide will just bring in gallons more. They really need to get some major focus on filling that levvy with the gravel bags, and then maybe building one behind it so they can try to actually fix the levvy and rebuild it somehow.

Firefox Or Internet Explorer that is the question...
Dynomite replied to Judman's topic in The Internet
FireFox is the best for some people while some prefer IE they are completely different concepts and ideas, and for almost different purposes, where one lacks the other prevails, you really cannot effectively compare them without a bias or some unfair influence on your choice for one or the other, either that or your like me and really don't care too much, and don't like these threads. They both have major security issues, IE may have more of them, but it really is much better supported and more commonly deisgned for. FireFox is really more for the advanced user who can deal with it's more technological issues that is suffers, so in short I would really say it depends on your computer experiance, if you are tech-savvy use FireFox, if your just starting out use IE, if your in between try them out and see which ever you can browse more effectively with. -
I also had an AMD processor set on fire, it was really freaky actually, my screen just turned black all of the sudden there was redish-orange glow inside my PC, it destroyed everything inside my PC case. However that was years ago, and I've tried newer AMD's that work perfectly fine, they are much faster than Intel, and much cheaper, but I will stay with Intel, because I am much mre familliar with them, and if you run on a Intel Xeon like I do then your processor will kick any AMD processor's *ss.

One Off The Most Powerful 3d Game Maker Do you want creat 3d game? Try 3dgs
Dynomite replied to sader's topic in Programming
I took a look at this program a little deeper, and it appears it displays the 3DGS logo untill you pay almost 900 dollars, even if you pay 200 dollars you still have to display the logo, that should be removed the instant you start paying for the program...I think they need to re-think there packages... -
I can do that with php too! It's not to hard, look-up some stuff on the php mail() function, I think there's a good guide on it here somewhere.php can do some pretty wicked stuff.Back to GMail though. This is good, it'll attract even more people to GMail I guess, that means more ads, more income for Google, more space for us!!!

I was going to say that when I saw Moldboy's post. But you got here, just a tiny tad bit earlier... Anyways, yeah, I used to use Blender, but I couldn't get any good models, so I've given up while I learn to do 3D models. Blender is VERY good. I just wish the modeller was as good as GMax (made by the people who did 3D Studio Max (the best modelling program out there)

What Is The Smallest Usable Os a.k.a. DSL
Dynomite replied to melkonianarg's topic in General Discussion
Wow, I have songs on my computer bigger than that... There are really small OS's but they aren't really OS's (does that make any sense to you? me neither) they are called Sub OS's there's one that is no longer avaible for download (at least I don't think so) it's called Midget Sub OS. It's only about 30 KB in size... -
Google Talk Talk and IM with your friends for free
Dynomite replied to serverph's topic in The Internet
I have a question, do you work for Google, or track their every move? Your always like the first person to find out about everything related to Google, it's cool. The Google Instant Messanger, seems very fast (it connects fast) I haven't talked to anyone (don't know anyone using it yet... ) it will be a while if ever that it becomes more popular than AOL Instant Messanger, but it might do well, just as GMail did. Otherwise it'll end up like ICQ, well known, but not used... -
One Off The Most Powerful 3d Game Maker Do you want creat 3d game? Try 3dgs
Dynomite replied to sader's topic in Programming
The screenshots look extremely familiar, I KNOW I've seen the exact ones on another 3D Game Maker's website... Maybe it's name was changed? Anyway, the program seems good, but like all of the other 3D game creation tools it probably (maybe not...) lacks the inituitive feature to allow designers to create plain simple objects instead cztegorizing what you can make into things like Weapons, People (animals, monsters, etc...), Cars/Vehicles, etc... -
Yeah, IPB is pretty cool. But some of my new favorites are. MyTopix - I don't remember the link, but it reminds me of IPB, but it's faster, not as well known or supported, it's very new, and has a better theme. Simple Machines Forum - It's very simple, and very fast, it's like Proboards.com, but more advanced, I really like it. You should try it...

All of the links bellow are usually to a download, not a web-page, so you are now warned. Fireball 1.3 Scorpion (beta/ not released) WestMaQ (not yet released either, but looks pretty good from the screenshots) SubOS X Dark http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ ADOS (download is very slow) IMP 3

I recently desicovered something called a Sub Operating System, it works like a regular Operating System in order to add new function, new interfaces, or new graphics, they usually run off operating systems that are lacking in certain aspects such as Windows. I've been reading thoroughly about this, and have found a few Sub Operating Systems, here's a list of a few of them so you can try it out if you want. However alot of them seem to be rather un-proffessional, and tend to have things like spelling mistakes or l337 talk in some places, that get anoying after a while, but some of the things that make them different might be a nice thing for small children to use to make it easier for them if they are just learning how to use a computer. So here's the list I promised you.

You'd need to live in the desert, or very close the the equator to get that much sunlight, you'd also need all of your electronics to be very efficient. But solar power is useful when there are thousands of panels layed out. One giant panel in the desert will usually proivde enough power to provide electricity for 5 average homes. But a solar panel you have at your house would normaly be an eight of that size, and only provide power enough for 0.625 average homes, so you'd fall quite short with one, so you'd need two of them, and you'd need a very sunny place that is close to the equator, otherwise solar power won't be very efficient.

Mambo owns all, it is the best one out there, php-nuke is a haven for exploits just like phpBB is. Post Nuke is really crappy when it comes to navigation and management, even though I voted for it I don't really like it, and I can't comment on e107, because I haven't seen or tried it, but I've heard it's pretty good.

Well, the definition of a render is something drawn, so basically if something is rendered it is drawn, or really it is a piece of art that was made, the media used doesn't matter. Renders are those people in everyones sigs, they are usually done with a 3d modelling program, and sliced to fit into signatures.
