Html Editor Which one is better?

Does anybody know which one has more options and stuff, Microsoft Frontpage or the 50 post upgrade package one *confused* :DOh Also how long does it take people on the boards to respond? Just wondering because Its late here and I have to go somewhere early in the morningIs it upgrades? I think I read that they are. If so, are they much better than the origional?

Weiser.. it depends on how many people are online and which time zone they are in... Usually, you'd get a very prompt reply around 9pm IST (-5.5 hrs for GMT) when most of Asia is getting out of office, or are home, and most of the west is just into office or are around that time of the day when no one has much to do and promptly come online to look around... as for myself... I come online at all odd hours just to take a brain break..

 

Now on your problem... I've used Frontpage Professional on the Office XP package and I do believe the installation is a full featured version. Any upgrade will most likely give you bug-fixes although I can not confirm about feature enhancements...

 

For HTML editing, Frontpage does a good job... if however, you want to do other scripting in VB, Java or want to do CSS and play around some more.. go with dreamweaver... Once you get the hang of HTML.. you'll just see the page developing in your head as you code so even a test editor will suffice...

Or if you want you can just get EditPad which is the same as your basic Notepad but with a bit extra. You can have many open documents open at once, a find and replace feature and a display number of the line you are on.

If you google, there are lots and lots of helpful tutorials for using Dreamweaver. So many people use it to create their sites. I highly recommend it over frontpage, the split coding/page view is really nifty and as kaputnik said before, its really good for adding in CSS and VB scripts. I also find that it makes connecting a site to a database really easy. It saves a heck of a lot of time in trying to work out where you went wrong.

I noticed on the site that the new Studio 8 is coming out soon. I don't know how much better it will be than the current version, but with each major release, the Macromedia software gets better and better! I'll be keeping my eye on that one!

Ok So I'll go there. I hope it doesent cost much! I dont have too much $ and dont want to pay for it, my PSP9 also is a trial and I have 4 more days

I had to do a 30 day trial from another site, I couldnt see anything but preordering Number 8. Whatever, good enough for me, but its taking forever downloading *rapps fingers on keyboard and waits*

Yesterday I downloaded Nvu but I was wondering, is it possible to make a sidebar in that program, if not can I somehow make a sidebar in Fireworks or Paint Shop Pro and make an image map and put links on it?

I like evrsoft's 1stPage 2000. It is free and I've been using it for a number of years now. They have a new version 2stpage 2006 comming out one of these days that will offer WYSIWYG editing. http://www.webdesignland.com/
