Website I Made For School for office furniture

Recommended Posts

looks nice....I like that sky like thing on the top a lot!well you have told us that it is related to furniture but what I think after looking at the template is that it is related to "nature" more than "furniture", I dont see anything related to furniture except that chair on the side...so may be this is my feedback for this website....try to make a website which has a wood like border.I hope this helps you.

I agree with mayank. You could change the background to something woody and use a puke green-brown color. The sky thing is neat, but I don't see how its related to wood. And good rule for web design is KISS(Keep It Simple Stupid) Green isn't a good color, because its about office furniture, which imo is bland. And the greenish nature color/theme just doesn't say "office stuff".Depending on the situation, you might want to redesign it to give it a professional look. Cuz at the moment from my perspective it looks like something from a blog or personal site.Your site will be good if you focus the colors, themes, and images more on the office and its furniture. Cuz you did go off on a little tangent with the whole nature theme.(Don't we all go off on our own little tangents every once and a while? lol)

The background graphics load a little slow on a dial-up connection, you should have sliced them. The animations are great, but the theme is more for nature than for an office furniture. The continous animation of the furniture at the left becomes annoying after few minutes, you should have made something that stops after a minute or two. if there's some information already on the site about it, I would probably place my left hand to cover the furniture so I could read the info without the animation blinking again and again.

I too find the link between the nature theme and the furniture hard to make. Unless perhaps you are trying to say that the furniture starts out as seedling like the one in your background. I cannot understand the language, so you may be saying that in the text. The graphics for the background are too large and take too long load for a dial-up connection. Normally I would not bother waiting for a page like this to load. The fuzzy animation of the furniture seems rather pointless. If you wanted to go with the seedling to furniture idea, why not have a seedling that morphs into a tree and then morphs into your furniture. You are using flash for the animation so it shouldn't be too hard to do.Another pet hate of mine is if I have to scroll sideways to view a site, I use 800 x 600 resolution like a lot of people do and I have to scroll sideways to view your site. :D Try to make the site self sizing with the use of tables or scripting. As others have said, it doesn't really look like a business site. And lastly, that is one ugly table/chair thing. Practical perhaps, but ugly. Sorry if I sound a little harsh, but you wanted feedback, it can't always be good.

It looks nice, but I agree that you DEFINATELY have to slice the images. I mean, slicing won't really take much time to do, and it will save your site from impatient users with slow connections. I use dial-up, and it took me some time for the whole site to get loaded. Generally, the site looks pretty neat, surrounded with my favorite color and all... :D But hey, it looks pretty refreshing to look at. But, the chair and table seem a bit out of place. Maybe make them match the sides. But since it's supposed to be about furniture, I think you should change the theme, it looks like a nature or reflection site. But you did a good job on it, though. If you decide to change it, you should still keep that layout in store for other sites you'll make. :(

i like the background, and moving sky but i think your using way to many different backagrounds on the site and it's kinda to green. Don't like the fonts in your menu bar. I think they should as crisp as your images.round

I checked out the website just now, and I really like it - especially the moving sky effect in the top banner. Nice backgrounds, too. The only problem is that there was no additional info when I clicked on the links. Are you planning on adding some content (even if it's the standard sample text) in the near future?

Website looks really good but the furniture image looks abit out of place there and as said above you wouldnt know it was about furniture looking at it, maybe less nature things?

You should change the background, so people will have a 'clue' about what you are writing about for your site ( What you are promoting, in your case, it's furniture ). Try putting a 'furniturish' background. Also, as much as I like the sky, it would bring too much attention, distracting the eye from what you want them to see. I recommend that you put the links on the side, too, hence making up for the empty space. Also, the links don't work. Also, where the text is supposed to be, it's too...plain. Try using some background color. Also, some special font!

well as i said its still basic. And exually what i didn't tell you guys is that you have 4 different designs of the furniture, and i only made nature, thats why its REALLY nature. The slysing is a really good idea... i will do that tho :ph34r:The text-area gets a scrollbar so dont worry :D
