Belinda 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2014 (edited) Some time ago the movie Home Alome was released. The movie dealt with a boy being alone in a house. Lately some members complain about being alone in the forum. It seems members wonder what to do when they are alone in the forum. This thread offers a solution for he problem about what to do when alone in the forum. The suggestion of this thread is that every member who feels alone in the forum can leave a post in this thread. Posting in this thread has several advantages: 1. The amount of mycents increases. 2. You vent your feelings. 3. You don't have to worry about the topic of your post. 4. You give other members the opportunity to react to your post and to increase the amount of their mycents. 5. It is social, because you show you like to interact with other members, even when they are online later. Here is a picture of the main character of the movie Home Alone. The goal of posting this picture is to show that the feelings of a member who feels alone in the forum are understood. This is an interesting link. Abcnews shows the pictures of some actors in the movie and how they look now. And Abcnews tells what the actors have done after the movie Home Alone was releashed and what they do at the moment. sheepdog 10 Report post Posted August 8, 2014 I do like that movie! They need to get that boy and the one who played in Kindergarten Cop together in a movie, that would be pretty funny! (or maybe that was the same kid, just more grown up in Home alone?) Anyway, I really do miss the gang that used to hang out here. And I too sometimes feel alone here with traffic as slow as it has been in recent months. I keep hoping things will pick up. Of course, even I am guilty of not spending so much time here anymore, I have way more on my plate most days than I can handle to start with. Summer is nearly over and we haven't had any free time, no trips to the creek for picnics or fishing or any fun at all.
demonboy1990 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2014 it was released in 1990 (which just happens to be the year of my birth) next one was 1992, then number 3 was released in 1997, the worst one (number 4) was released in 2002, then Home Alone 5 was released in 2012 tell us about it the forums are usally empty (maybe it is to do with time zones being different) i am in Time Zone at present GMT+1 So maybe i am just coming to the forums at the wrong time,
yordan 10 Report post Posted August 12, 2014 coming to the forums at the wrong time, I wouldn't say the wrong time. We are open to people from all around the world, so necessarily some of them are sleeping while the other ones are active
demonboy1990 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2014 i understand that but it would be lovely having more people on more,
yordan 10 Report post Posted August 12, 2014 Of course, you are right. Ideally, there should be continously a lot of people around here, let's hope that they come soon
sheepdog 10 Report post Posted August 13, 2014 Demon Boy! Your back! Cool! Good to see you. I've been back popping in for the last week or so myself. It has been one heck of a summer. I keep getting older and slower and it's harder to get things done. But some good news, I'm not as puny as I thought I was. Had the hired girl help me put my huge male Old English Sheepdog on the table to groom him, I didn't think I could lift him by myself. About half way threw the groom I was trying to turn him around on the table and he leaped off into my arms, and not only did I have to hold him up, I had to catch him too and put him back on the table. So I'm definitely stronger than I thought I was!

sheepdog 10 Report post Posted August 16, 2014 I would put them to good use if they weren't so bloody lazy! I've had several different helpers this summer, most of them barely a third of my age, and they act like they are going to die if they work more than 4-5 hours. What the heck is wrong with young sprouts today? A couple of them were big strapping healthy boys that should be in the prime of their lives and you never heard the likes of the whining and complaining and all the aches and pains they have! Well, don't let the hot weather keep you away too much. Come back and visit more!
k_nitin_r 8 Report post Posted August 16, 2014 Speaking of hot weather, we've got the mercury running at up to 38 C most of the time in this part of the world. The humidity actually makes it worse. Physical labor is just something that young folk today were taught to not do. They are taught to do intellectual tasks instead of resorting to brute force, but I'd love to see some telekinesis when they get a flat tyre and have to stop along the side of the highway. Nothing beats some heavy muscle when having to change a tyre.

sheepdog 10 Report post Posted August 22, 2014 LOL, I don't think I could get away with a pay reduction, they already think I'm too cheap, which I suppose I am. Business has been pretty good the past year but I still remember all too well how for so long it was a struggle every week to make payroll and keep the dogs fed. Today was a real scorcher! And boy do I wish it would rain! I mean a real rain, not just a tiny shower that barely settles the dust. I am so sick of watering. It takes hours and hours if I have to water everything. Have to plan it out carefully, like tonight I had to go out a bit early while it was still pretty hot to water the cherry bushes along the driveway and the entrance way flowers, and get that all done and hubby volunteered to water the garden and the bulldozer planting, so while he was doing that I finished up a few more odd jobs around the kennel then I had to go start the soaker hose in the flower bed. The pool is getting a bit low and needs water too, but it will have to wait at least until tomorrow night. I can't run a lot of water during the day when we are trying to do the kennel cleaning and watering so everything has to be timed out just right. Sometimes it's a challenge for me to even get a shower!
