turbopowerdmaxsteel 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) What are the differences (in terms of features corresponding to PHP) between the Windows Hosting & Linux Hosting packages (particularly between WPA & Logic Plan), given that WPA also supports PHP. Will the .htaccess file work if I use WPA's PHP? I noticed, WPA has HSPHERE CONTROL PANEL. Is it inferior to CPanel? I don't use the cronjob feature yet. But, there should be an equivalent feature that allows a certain ASP .NET script to run at a scheduled time, correct? The thing is that, I want to move into ASP .NET hosting. But, in the meantime, I would like to keep my existing website running. Edited October 6, 2009 by turbopowerdmaxsteel (see edit history)
mahesh2k 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 This article can help you decide to choose which hosting is better. Other than that i suggest choosing linux in case of you using php/rails based scripts on your system. Window based hosting for php/rails is not good choice. Besides performance and security wise you'll find it windows low performance. As you're going for ASP.NET hosting. Then it is best for you to choose windows hosting. If you're going with any windows based technologies like asp.net/expression-web etc. Then it's better to choose windows hosting. Hope this helps.
