Indie Band From Cuernavaca, Mexico we make indie music, thats it

Recommended Posts

Well, I don't even know if the words are correctly written. Anyway, this is one of our favourite songs:

Don't Treat Me Like A Fool

Let me let you know

What it?s coming up

Let me let you feel the feeling I?ve been feeling

I?ve been caught in love

You treat me like a fool

But now you know I?m not

You?ve got a picture it doesn?t represent what I was thinking

At the time of you...

-Chorus-

Imagine the seashells

They?re white from inside

Imagine I'm the storyteller

That wants to make you cry...

You don?t want to hang out

Though you?ve spent alone

The weekend on the sofa with no f?mme

Watching ?Home Alone?

You make me think of me

When I was really young

The prozac was the food I?d been enjoying with my partners

And we were never full...

-Chorus-

Imagine the seashores

They?re clear from inside

Imagine I'm the storyteller

That wants to make you laugh... (Rock me boys!!!)

He, I hope you guys like it :)

Thank you very much, I do apreciate your comment. And well, We're still recording our first album, although we already have a couple of songs released for a compilation album called Fancy Noise. This compilation features 11 of the most representative bands in Mexico. The Official website of the Fancy Noise is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and the Record label which distributes the album is: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Our website if you want to listen/know more about us, is: http://www.evanss.org/ and we also have myspace.com @ https://myspace.com/browser

Thank you again. :) and apollogizes again about the possible mistakes on the lyrics, since English is not my native language is a bit hard to get corrected when I'm wrong, hehehe... :D

It sounds interesting. Could you explain your musical influences? Don´t know there but here (in Spain) when people talk about indie music you don´t really know what are they talking about. Could be american bands like Sonic Youth, Pixies and Dinosaur Jr. or english pop bands like Suede or Pulp, or simply it´s a band who records for an indie label... :)
So, explain what the band sounds like, please.

By the way, very good website, http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. I also have an alternative music website (look in the signature). It´s always interesting to know other bands all around the world.

Well, when I say indie music, i mean bands like Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Pulp, New Order, Joy Division, Yo La Tengo, Wedding Present, The Charlatans, Belle and Sebastian, and even Spanish bands such like Los Planetas, El Columpio Asesino, Super Puta, La Casa Azul, Se?or Chinarro, Cooper, etc

Some indie mexican bands are really good as well, you should try checking:

Austin TV

Chikita Violenta

Album

Phono

RoBotril

The Corporate Casuals

Golden Rainbow Kid

Toxina Boogie

...and BTW, my band: EVANSS :P

greetings :D

I like almost all of those... but I find bands like La Casa Azul a little uhmmm kitsch... too much "lollipop". You know, ["demasiado piruleta pop"]. Stupid, superficial and intrascendent lyrics. :D Fortunately, yours (the lyrics) aren´t like that. I strongly recommend to you the last album of Standstill, for me the greatest indie spanish band right now (the other albums sounds more like post-hardcore).

Thanx for the recommendations. :)
