wutske 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 I realy like the second graphic, it's cool . The first one looks a bit blurred to me and the other two are a bit hard to read without focussing on it (you can't see what's written there at the blink of an eye)
Senor_Grunt 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 Yeah. The first one isn't blurred, it just has a little bight of lighting effects on it to kind of make it 'pop out'. And the one that was resized was for my website.
Quatrux 4 Report post Posted April 24, 2008 I also like the second one, even though it's big and I don't know how could you put it into your layout, even though everything is possible, but maybe thats not the purpose, they seem fine, but I think it could be much better, I mean, I've seen much better graphics and logos. Senor_Grunt 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2008 I was basically just doing a quickie to see if I could make a good graphic using that clan name, and I guess it worked out. I was also just going for simplicity, cause I thought when you first see a graphic you don't want it to blind you with colors and such, so I just did that simple thing. :] The last forum I posted the first two at, people told me that I shouldn't use green and red like that cause it makes a murky brown diarrhea color. >_< The last two were the result of me trying a new color scheme. Mordent 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2008 Personal preference would be for the second one's text (and font) without the big symbol between them. Just removing that and moving the lines closer together (more like the first one) would work for me, and I like the second one's background far more. The third one doesn't work for me at all, same with the fourth. They just don't have the "look" of the first two. As for the colour scheme, I still like green on red, provided the red is kept relatively dark and the green relatively bright and sharp. So overall, not too bad at all. Senor_Grunt 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2008 I knew people would like the green and red scheme better. :] Good thing I saved the .PSD's. Thanks for you comments so far guys!
darasen 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 The font and the glow together make the letters nearly unreadable. The font itself changes the normal letter shapes a bit. A glow effect also changes the letter shape a bit. The cumulative effect makes readability a task. The typeface's color on the last two with the dark and blurred background simply do not work. If the jpg compression is causing headaches consider saving the images as PNG files.
Senor_Grunt 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Ok, there's one thing that everyone agreed on so far. The text font makes it hard to read with the filters and such. I should get started on making some new graphics, since I'm the only one in my clan now.

Atomic0 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2009 Although the font represents the gaming side of the logo, it is indeed a bit hard to read. Maybe increasing the contrast would be better i.e. white text on black background or black text on a white background. It would certainly improve the readability of the logo text. Also, using a dark grey colour instead of black could make the logo stand out more since black in most cases looks outdated.
