yordan 10 Report post Posted April 9, 2008 Thanks for the info, Joson.Just a small detail : this is simply an info, it's not really a tutorial. That's why it should not be in our tutorial section, so I moved it here.RegardsYordan
Mark Gleeson 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2008 Hey, Honestly, The Best Free Hosting for me is http://forums.xisto.com/ ( This one). aokhost.com/ is a new webhost, 5GB space, and still building, but I dont recommend it yet. Paid Server: http://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=ev1servers&e=com - If you are looking for a descent and fast server (Paid). A little high priced though. Free Servers: http://www.freeservers.com/ - Free servers obviously, not so fast and doesn't hold many files. Free Host also work Domain: https://de.godaddy.com/ - If you are looking for a good domain. Thanks, let me know if I could do a little more research Sincerely, Mark

They don't offer support over telephone, but they reply very quickly on mails and (if it works, because I never got it to work) there is support via live chat . One.com even isn't expensive for what they offer, I'd recommend it to everybody who is willing to pay a few euros for webhosting. If you're not willing to pay, go Xisto . @ahaslam: cpanel at one.com ? The only thing they have is a basic admin page, nothing like the cpanel we have here at Xisto. Atomic0 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2008 If your looking for professional hosting, you are better off going to more reputable web hosts such as MediaTemple. One thing to be careful with web hosts is some of them oversell their storage and bandwidth, plus their shared servers usually suffer heavy load since they host lots of websites on a single server. Merovingian 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2008 My friend highly recommends One.com also. I'm willing to give this place a try (once I have enough credits).
Animator 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2008 Well, the reason I'm choosing Xisto / Xisto is because of all the free hosts that promised CGI / PHP, this is the only one I've found that actually looks like it supports the ability to set up something like FormMail, where my visitors can fill in a page, hit "send" and that gets emailed to whatever email address I want....and a business page as well. This is great for me because it helps to avoid spam by changing the FormMail send email address if the current one gets flooded. When I hand out my business cards to lots of people, they can get me through the FormMail or the email printed on the card (but displayed not on the website) and my email isn't so up front on the web that it gets harvested. ...to make this work, I have a separate "published" email for the card, but temporary ones (that can change) for the FormMail. I think bots could still get at my email on the cgiemail template, but that's when I change it to shake them off. That's the plan anyway... hoping it works in practice. LegallyHigh 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2008 So far my favorite Web Hosts have been Xisto and Xisto. Though I do not like having to post, or having my site temporarily suspended becasue I sometimes forget to post I rather contribute to a forum than pay for Web Hosting. However, before I needed PHP and MYSQL for my website (before I had a forum), I used 50Webs.com, another Web Host) and loved it. 50Webs was quick and had everything you'de need for basic HTML Web Page (50 Megs of Space). So if you don't have a very interactive, or multi language using Web Page, which is strctly HTML, I would recommend 50Webs.
Running With Scissors1405241561 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2008 I have tryed about 15 different hosts and although I'm awaiting my account I think this one is going to be the best by far because it has tons of features yet its still free all you have to do is post on these forums. Another added bonus is no ads at all.
