Gamer David 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2007 Tried that too, still does not work. The same thing happens. The only thing I don't understand is that the cpanel ftp does work.Try this, add a / at the end, like this: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
MediYama 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2007 @Gamer David - It was already set like that, it doesn´t work.
BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 The reason you couldn't access is because the subdomain was assigned to Xisto. Â It's unclear whether it was a mistype or server error but I have fixed your subdomain to Xisto. Â You should be able to see your site using Xisto as the subdomain and FTP without an issue. Be sure that you do not set your FTP as PASSIVE login. Â Give few hours/days for name change to resolve. Let me know if any problem occurs. Â Thank you and sorry for your inconvenience. MediYama 0 Report post Posted June 27, 2007 (edited) Wow I thought it was normal to have it fixed under Trap 17! Well I will check if the FTP account works now. Thanks for fixing it, and no problem about the inconvenience, it made me post quite some things here and gave me more credits .  Edit  How long is it supposed to take before my FTP works again? Two days since the fix, and it still doesn't work. Edited June 29, 2007 by MediYama (see edit history)
MediYama 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2007 Bump - My apologies. Is it usual that it takes this long? It still does not work.

MediYama 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2007 Strange.. I found something out. I tried a web-based FTP , 01ftp.com. It works perfectly on there, but it still doesn't work on SmartFTP nor Windows Explorer.
yordan 10 Report post Posted June 30, 2007 it still doesn't work on Windows Explorer.Concerning Windows Internet Explorer, didn't you mistype or forget something ? Remember that in Internet Explorer the URL you have to type is : ftp:yourname@yourname.astahost.comYou will see a box appearing asking for you password, so if you have pop-up blockers this box will not appear. Also, sometimes, this box is under another open window, so be careful not to have too many open windows hiding your password in-box.However, i'm glad you have a working solution, at least can start your real work, the other details will be solved with time and patience. Thanks everyone who wanted to help me get it. Part of the problem wasn't my mistake though Thank you very much! It works now! It only works in Win Explorer though, not in SmartFTP. yordan 10 Report post Posted June 30, 2007 Nice to see if works. May I suggest you to try FileZilla ftp client (https://filezilla-project.org/ ), it worked with all the sites I saw till now.I also was never able to put smartftp at work, and I'm not confused with that, I simply use FileZilla everywhere. MediYama 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2007 Alright, I'll use FileZilla from now on. It works! This problem is officially solved.
