mtnbluet 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2007 It is amazing the innovative designs that people have come up with in building tree houses. Here are nine designs and 3 more tree house types. How about an unusual one that it appears could be mass produced, might need some sturdy supports however. And even Microsoft is getting into the action, putting a worker into her very own tree house.Lastly, Castles can be apart of the wonders of the world. Only thing to really wonder about is where they get all those wax for all the wax candles to keep the chandeliers lit!!
Aniki 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2007 Those are pretty cool! I've always wanted a treehouse, there's just something about them that's so appealing. My castle, hopefully, will be an apartment above a hobby shop that I'll run. My friends will come over, hang out, I'll sell the games I love, meet people, etc. Nothing grand or majestic or regal or anything like that, just something that fits my needs and is super cozy. Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2007 Those are intense, awesome stuff indeed. I've seen some before but wow, always amazes me what people with enough money can do <_<And I have to say, Aniki, that's a refreshing outlook. Personally I've always been of the mindset "If I'm comfortable and can provide for my family, I'll be happy" but so many people are obsessed with getting rich and living large. Glad to see I'm not alone haha. I'll have to stick with having a normal treehouse in the backyard I guess
ethergeek 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2007 I always wanted a treehouse when I was a little kid...problem was I lived in So. Cal, and there weren't tall enough or dense enough trees at my disposal to do it.
Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2007 I had a decent treehouse at my place, but it was more like a ladder with a wooden box in the trees, nothing fancy lol. Might have had a window or something to throw water balloons out of Years after we stopped using it it came crashing down in a huge storm that moved the trees. Moral? Be careful when building them hahaha

patronus4000 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2007 I haven't even climbed a tree before. XD And I'm afraid to try, especially when I see those huge ants crawling all over them. XD Or the fact that I just might fall. Although I think that's less likely to happen than several ants attacking me. But tree houses are cool; I've seen some really nice ones on TV. And I suppose those castles use electricity now, because I agree with you. Or maybe those same castles are deserted. Either way. XD But on the topic on homes, treehouses, and castles, I think I'd just prefer to live in a nice, normally sized condomininum in downtown Toronto or something. I don't like huge spaces, since property taxes are too high and I don't need all that space.SerenaP.S.: My photography teacher always says that he lives under the GO station, which is a train that travels in the Greater Toronto Area. foolakadugie 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2007 I always wanted a treehouse when I was a little kid...problem was I lived in So. Cal, and there weren't tall enough or dense enough trees at my disposal to do it.I actually grew up in southern california and built quite a few of them. Some of them were eventually torn down by the city because they were too dangerous to climb up to.I think we mainly built them in those big Eucalyptus trees and to get up just nailed some 3/4 inch boards to the trunk as a ladder, so you had to climb up about 15 or 20 feet on those. We built one with a nice zip line to get down. Unregistered 0111405241546 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2007 Those are so cool! I've always wanted to live up somewhere high, and trees are the perfect place. If I ever become insanely rich I want to get a really big tree and made a huge tree house and live in it. Those designs are really cool and unique
trinifawk 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 When I was about 7 or 8, my cousin and I built a treehouse. It was the most awesome thing ever! We built it on a mango tree, had a ladder and everything to climb up to the tree house. But, I guess we didn't think through it enough. We built it next to an electricity poll, and my dad and my aunt decided that we couldn't play in it anymore . I Think that all kids should experience the joy of having their own tree house! I thought that it was amazing.
Chesso 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 That's a pretty cool idea, and although I am not a fan of FarCry, it'd feel pretty cool playing that game while sitting in a tree house like that lady is lol.And those Castles are wicked, they look like they been around for awhile, it's hard to imagine just what things really looked like back then for people (back when those Castles weren't so antique).I also had a tree house once, if I remember correctly, but I also fell 5ft+ out of one and landed right on my butt (and that hurt like hell), stupid tree was full of bee's >_<. kgd2006 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 THose tree houses are very creatively built, it almost look like a futuristic cabin in a way. Looking at these houses makes me want to conceptulize what my future home would look like. I sometimes feel that I want to draw and model my dream home. Everything I wanted in a house would come from my dream and vision. Ofcourse you got the general typical house, but if you want to go the extra mile you need to make your own home, because not only does it creates uniqueness when compared to other houses in your area, but it starts the begining of the history of how that house become to be. And I hear that its cheaper to build a house than it is to buy a regular house anyway. So i guess my next plan of goals that I have in store would probably to build my dream home and conceptualize the blue print of the house. And see if I can make my vision a reality than just a vision, heh...
Chesso 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 It can be cheaper to build your own house I suppose, but you would have to restrict yourself unless your dreams are very boring/plain in order to achieve that goal.
Quatrux 4 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 Well, I didn't even think that people built them with electricity, thought they are just for kids do to here rarely anyone has a tree house here in my country, especially in a city, it isn't even popular to built one in your own house yard, usually people built a bathhouse, summerhouse/bower or something, but not a tree-house, I wanted to built a tree-house, when I was 7-9 years old, I tried, but I wasn't successful it isn't as easy as it can look, for that we built little "houses" on ground from say sticks with leaves, but after some time guys with beer were usually drinking there, I mean guys we never saw before, so in my opinion a tree-house not in your yard also could be occupied by beer drinking youth <_<To add, those tree houses really look great, I might even consider to built one for myself in the future when/if I will have my own house with some yard and a tree, it would be really original around here. Chesso 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 Hey it's good that you at least tried!I also tried but the tree in my backyard I soon found out to be occupied by bee's quite often .At one stage I used to go with a couple of friends on my pushy up the road, and there was like a clearing not being used and we got some materials and messed around there. That or I pulled up all the matresses and pillows and lounges and stuff in the house and went crazy lol .
