Team DarkCore 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2006 I am coding an operating system called WallyOS. It is free and open source. Using the source code of VISOPSYS I plan to make a powerful Operating system. Website: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is no download since it is under heavy development. yordan 10 Report post Posted May 11, 2006 What do you intend this OS to be ? Would it be a kind of Linux ? Or would it be a Crosoft Windows compatible, being able to run a PowerPoint Viewer ?
Trekkie101 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2006 hmm VISOPSYS looks ok, but very dated, why not try using the linux kernel? But then anyway good luck, I look forward to being able to try your little project
twitch 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2006 IT would be better if you made a site and hosted it at SourceForge, as soon as you got your first RC.Looks interesting, although I agree with Trekkie, you would be better off using Linux Kernel rather than VISOPSYS. iGuest 3 Report post Posted May 12, 2006 Yeah, something I always wanted to try. But where, I dont have anytime, I dont have anytime to even log off. What the heck. When do you think your OS will be completed and by the way why do you want to make new OS when there are hundreds of them.If you ask me, I would say just to "kill time"!Hey there is a site I saw (http://iso.linuxquestions.org/) in which you can submit your OS for free! So that others can use it and see how it works, test, etc. and rate your OS. If it gets rated to a really high position, who know tomorrow we all will be using your OS. There is a problem with that site when it comes to your OS. I think this site accepts only Linux kernel based OS, but dont loose hope, give it a try and see what happens! All the best
