Best Places To Start Learning PHP

Recommended Posts

Thankx soleimanian, I always wondered how and where to start PHP, but never got a chance. I know a little bit, maybe lets say 5% of php because of editing files and stuff. But programming in PHP is something i would love to learn for the long run. Maybe in the college vacations i would look into these sites and learn a little ... if cant do there, then i can always depend on asta for smart coders :). Thankx againRegardsDhanesh.

other than w3school, is there any other main sites about php that may be geared more towards newbies or, say people like me that have a lot of HTML experience, but not that much when it comes to php and its inherent "programming" aspect?

In my opinion, the best place to learn PHP and the best source is the book, but only if you're capable of programming enough. As for other people, which have some difficulities with scripting you just need to find a personal teacher to you. I'm teching some of my classmates PHP,HTML,CSS,JS,DHTML and some other. and they say that It's much easier to work when someone expired teaches you and helps in difficult moments;)

Best place to learn PHP, from those who know.Second best place to learn, anywhere else, even in different programming languages you can learn not about it, but how you could use it.As long as you have a fair idea of what capabilities it has, and what it can do for you and why you NEED to use it, then it might be for you, but make sure to learn it, stop skipping things out and asking people to do things for you, it's something I hate, but at the same time, I like sharing knowledge, but I don't want to be doing people's work for them, it's more satisfying knowing that it's your own work.Cheers,MC

Well, http://php.net/ is no doubt the official website of PHP, but I think that the manual present there is actually for much Advanced users ...

When I looked at that manual for the first time, I simply got confused that how I gonna read that :P

I think that if u are a NEWBIE, than the best place to start off with PHP is W3Schools ...

This is where I started with my PHP Programming ...

ALTHOUGH it is much Basic but it is probably the best for a beginner :o

http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp

Furthermore, HotScripts and Resource Index also provides a number of useful Scripts ...

Well, I dont know about the others but this is how I started it :o

**** All Appreciations and Criticisms are welcome ****
