I don't know if the site is shut down or not or what? I mean the Last Modifies date is today [June 2, 2005]... SO I am just confued about this???

 

I don't really see a point in getting a free .com domain for a bunch of ads at your site...

 

Domains are cheap. If you have money to use Internet from home, you should spare to register and pay for a domain.

I agree with Hercco. Domains are cheap [i got a domain for about $10 for 2 years] and if you are paying for internet service I think that you can spare a few more for a domain IF you REALLY want it. But I guess that people will always want to get things for free.

DotTK is not free. Infact, it sucks what they do.They mentioned nothing about the pre-loaded page with their ads. I cancelled mine as soon as I realized it.

I don't think anyone really needs free image hosting with 3Gigs of space, but I figure if you want to cut down on bandwidth and perhaps have a good place to upload test images before doing it up to your actual website, you might also find a good mirror site if you need downloads. So I'll post this website here, since it's got a lot of good websites that can help out anyone with a new domain that wants to cut down on abusing the bandwidth unncessarilly.

I use it a lot for my photoshop tests. I'll edit what I want to do, then host it up on one of the free image hosting sites, then after I get it right and perfect I'll upload it to my actual site, just so I don't have to keep deleting it out of my databases, etc. Always helpful and keeps your website db free and neat of unnecessary test garbage.

They seem to be working on something. The site shutmail.com seems to have changed to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
and they ask you, for the free plan, to post on a forum described by a broken link.
By the way, it's not a 3 gig hosting any more, but a 200 Megs with 2 gig bandwidth.

But they make you upgrade your browsers in order to see the sites that have made domains with them. You can try mine out. I'm trying to sign up with Xisto because my old hosting was kind of bad. HeyA few days ago shutmail was offering free email with 3GB storage which it still is
but now they are also offering free domain names (.com .net .org or .info)

They donot require you to post or pay they just want you to place some addvertisements on your website

I wouldn't feel safe gettin a free domain , but it would be nice to have. I would rather get mine by paying for it.
