I'm using Logitech M-BJ58 two buttons wheel mouse. After about 1.5 years intense use (playing Counter-strike, other games, clicking around all day...) I have no problems with it. Still like new today :D

I have a mercury one that I found on eBay for £2.99 delivered :DIt has a thin scrollwheel in the middle and two large blue buttons on either side.It does the job for me, my old Microsoft one was really sluggish and hard to navigate with.

I have the Logitech Travelmate (the really small metal polished on with a scroll wheel) that I use with my Apple PBook all the time. It's been a year and it's still working well.I actually think that Logitech is a better brand, because they specialise in making these peripherals anyway. The MX1000 looks really cool, if only it's Bluetooth AND laser at the same time... The only thing is that Microsoft patented the Natural Keyboard idea, so my friend who is a stickler for ergonomic keyboards would only buy from Microsoft. How about the other brands? Macmice? Kensington? Anyone else uses them?

Logitech ownage,
The MX510 was the best gamers mouse, and the new upcomming MX518 is the VERY BEST in gamers technology

I agree with you that Logitech MX510 is the best mouse all around. I'm going to buy this model if my old one mouse gonna fail.

Well, back in the old days I had a Microsoft one (2 button, no scroll wheel, but remember that this was in the era where 386 was brand new). But after that one, I got a Logitech mouse (Navigator Desktop cordless) and I was sold :D For some reason, the cordless desktop (mouse + keyboard by Logitech) won't work on my laptop (no connector for an external keyboard), so I am using the corded mouse (logitech Pilot). I am sold to Logitech all the way, but I may end up without Logitech, since I intend to buy a Wacom Tablet and most come with mouse. If I get stuffed about it, I am going for the MX510 or MX3000 (I think - it's the one with Lazer :D)

I don't sense any difference in the quality of different mice. I'm using a Dell one, corded, optical with scrolling wheel. As long as the mouse is optical, has enough keys, is wireless and quiet, I think it's perfect. Mine has a loud click but silent scroll.

i snitched a huge logitech outta the schools dumpster, massive thing. I replaced my m$ optical with it, even though it was a ball mouse. I have big hands, and i just always feel like the mice are too damn small. Little clickys on the side, wheel, an all. it just feels better. :) and i know i just dropped my rep by using the phrase "little clickys"
