Anyone can learn HTML, not everyone is good with graphics, although they too can learn if they wanted to. I would be eager to see how your templating skills are, I am currently working on my own Content Management System (CMS) and would be keen to see some good site layouts for it, business, personal, ecommerce etc. If you are interested, just post back, it will be a while before I release it, as I'm trying to race ahead of all the other Managers out there, also trying to implement an easy conversion from other Mangers, just incase people feel their Managers aren't doing enough for them, hopefully mine does. Would be good to hear feedback on what they would like their Content Manager to do, am considering an easier way of placing data, similar to that of Desktop Publishing. If you can use MS Word/Publisher, you should be able to use my CMS the same way. Cheers, MC
musichere 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Embarssingly I learned HTML many many years ago from a children's website called Neopets (http://www.neopets.com/) whom have an incredibly simple and effective way of teaching HTML, in categories. I've actually recommended that website to many people simply for learning HTML with. The bright colours and flashing images honestly help you learn HTML! ChronicLoser 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 hmm, well I personally learned html/java/php/etc through free online templates you get from geocities, freewebs, etc. Then I continued with actual websites to get the finer points mastered. I'm not really into coding as i am designing though =P
unbeatable 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 Same to me, i m not interested in the codin much, but i am more interested in the designing. I learn html from a range of "Copy and paste" sites (like admins101.com) where they give u html to copy and use for your own site. I first started off by copying and then I could remember them all. Darren1405241470 0 Report post Posted November 19, 2004 I first learnt HTML a couple of years ago when i first became intersted in designing my own websites. I learnt it here - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I would definitely recommend this tutorial. From memory I don't think it has all the parts of HTML but it has all the essentials and an as you go demo for you to work along with. I am more into the coding than design. So I change between dreamweaver MX and plain old notepad. The only other thing i would use is a colour schemer which Lhunath showed me .

Spartan000 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 I learned from my computer programming class from high school. At first, they teach you of the importany tags. Then they teach you how to make paragraphs and borders. Simple things like that. Lastly, they taught about some of the more complex features such as tables, forms, buttons, etc.(I don't consider those complex anymore since I practiced them many times) After I switch from notepad to DreamWeaver, I started making pages much faster and with greater ease.
