encryptedwrath 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2008 Unless you could see eachother a few times a year then it defeats the object of a relationship. There are very few things that you can do if you can't actually see them. But if it were only temporary , then it could be bearable
kingjim007 0 Report post Posted December 21, 2008 It will work depending on your expectations:If you are looking for a net friend and plan on never meeting them then it is nice to have someone around to talk with and share things with.If you are serious about getting together and maybe getting married it may also work. many people do this and are quite happy. If you want a relationship but are not prepared to save the money and take the risk of someone you only know online or on the phone then I would suggest just staying friends.I am now married and met my wife online. Even though she lived in the country she was in another state. I moved there after visiting for a week and we are happy.I also worked with a guy that moved from England to Australia to be with his girlfriend. It is possible to meet someone local and save yourself some time and expense :)Just decide what you really want then you can make a plan.Be realistic about your goals then will avoid disappointment.Best of luck. y4nzi 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2008 It's very difficult to maintain a long distance relationship but it really does depend on your expectations. If it is a temporary separation then and you have future plans/goals for one of you to perhaps move and visit etc then it could work because you guys have something to look forward to.I have had friends that have made long distance relationships work, it's alot harder than having a relationship with someone who lives in the same city as you and requires alot more commitment but it is do-able. If such a love emotionally satisfies you then its really really cool and otherwise its just the waste of your time. The matter here is of satisfaction emotional obviously. Every problem arises due to the lack of satisfaction and due  to which people indulges in wrong things for themselves and if satisfied then this life will be like living in heven. Thats it dear friend.
Ousk 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2009 It depends if you guyz are together for 2 years and she or you have to go on an scholarship for a year or something just get engaged or not and have a long distance relationship. If you just meet the girl i don't think it's worth it. Also it depends what age do u guyz have. Cause if your 15 you have time to waste on relationships like this if your 28 it's kind of late for these types of relationships. But in the end it depends of how much love and commitment is between the two persons. Bro i think if you are only interested in having physical relation with women then it might really be difficult for you to be apart....But if you really love some one i don't think distance really matters, regardless of for how long have you not met...It's my personal opinion
rpgsearcherz 5 Report post Posted January 6, 2009 Distance relationships are really dependent upon the people who are in it.Are you willing to make it work? Can you and the other person be trusted not to cheat on one another? Will you ever be closer to them?Relationships are all based on how you want them to be. There are people in the army(such as my grandpa was) where they are away from their families for years at a time. All in all, it boils down to this question : What do you want out of the relationship, and are you willing to make it work?
