nyy26 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2009 So Gary Matthews is going to be traded. I wouldn't hate if the Yankees gave up a couple of nobodies for him. He had a great year a few years ago and might just need a change of scenery. Definitely a better hitter than melky cabrera and brett gardner. He's a great fielder too. The angels would have to eat most of his huge remaining contract. He might be a good fit to play the corner out field positions for the mets as well.
