thrillerboy 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2008 Most of the web designers, have this pain of working for a site which has to viewed perfectly for all people and all users over the world, independent of their operating systems, their browser and system and internet speed. There's no way no see it all manually and get the Idea about how the site looks in different machines and browsers. Luckily, I've found a very handy and useful way where people can really find this thing within matter of hours, Mostly minutes. Here's the site to check out screenshots of how your site looks in different browsers in different machines.http://browsershots.org/Hope this is useful

etycto 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2008 oh wow thanks i've been looking for something that'd do stuff like this but i wish instead of just taking screenshots it would allow the person to browse the site in different browsers but i only helps if you want to see how the site looks not how it functions with the different browsers. but that's cool i guess, but could be better. fffanatics 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2008 This is partially useful since you can test a lot of browsers at once but most of the time i just check my sites of Firefox, Safari, IE 7 and 8 and Konquerer to make sure it works. The odds are that if it works with all of those sites, it will look right in the rest. For me, that is all i care about and that is all I need. Good resource but might not be as useful as you make it out to be.

I can't give you an example right now, but I'll post it if I find one Edited April 22, 2008 by peterspliid (see edit history)

peterspliid 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 I think I've found one http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Look at the navigation bar at the top. On Internet Explorer it works fine, but on Firefox it's totally messed (at least on my computer) You'll find some other things from that site here http://browsershots.org/http:/www.rscheatt/tp/index.php/
bishoujo 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 I absolutely agree. It is extremely annoying when you are raring to go with your new layout that looks fantastic in firefox, and when you open it in Internet Explorer, bummer, there's an unexplainable gap in between one of the tables and ruins your entire layout and mood completely. Thanks for the weblink. It is useful!

A200 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 Thanks for that, it will be really useful!I find my biggest issues are with IE6, because so many people seem to use it without knowing that IE7 exists, and my site just doesn't work in it (something about the stylesheet it seems to have problems with )A200
