yes happy easter to those who will celebrate it. well we celebrate the lenten season differently in our country, it's more solemn and sad because we focus on the death of Christ on the cross and then celebrate his rising from the dead on the last day, which is a symbolism of renewal to most catholics.I however am on shift on holy week... hahahaha oh well.

Happy easter everyone!Over here we do not celebrate easter so much as a christian holiday. A bit like Christmas for most(that i know of anyway). It came at the perfect time this year, I get a five day holiday. I'm pretty sure this is in the wrong section by the way.

As an athiest I celebrate easter by eating chocolate eggs more as a tradition of m country rather than for religous reasons. However happy easter and don't eat too many eggs even though I had eaten four even before easter weekend lol

Happy easter everyone!

Over here we enjoy tons of chocolate easter eggs .

1. Even it is not my time to celebrate Easter, I congratulated WHO are celebrating now.

2. In Muslims or Jewish feast, I congratulate them too. That is the love to all. Also my friends from other religions congratulate us and visit us that day. In the Church celebration , the governments and each party or organization send delegations to each church even we are the minority.

3. So congratulation to your colleque in Xisto is not bad but is social obligation.

4. You can ignore the matter completely and don't participate and wound their feeling. It is social matter in which we have to forget our differences. From where the idea that you have to introduce yourself being "Atheist".

5. Choclete Easter egg it is business invention to gain our money.

6. The bunny choclete is business invention too but with hiden message to move the atention from the meaning of Easter as Santa legen in the Christmas.

7. The Christian were using natural egg as a symbol for Easter. Because As chick get out from the egg by itself. Jesus reseruct himself. This is to distinguish that Jesus return life to other three persons. But in this time it was by himself

1. Thank you

5. But that's not to say that we shouldn't buy them. Besides, it has its roots in tradition, the idea that the egg represents new life (as you said in point 7). Buying it in the form of chocolate is just a nice way of presenting this idea.

6. Non-Christians don't want to celebrate the meaning of Easter

Happy Easter everyone! Over here, for the first time this year it's snowing! Typical that it snows Easter Day and not on Christmas :P

I don't sugest that non-christian have to know the meaning of Easter. I am asking to either congratulate or to not participate in this topic.

Chooclate are in shops in hundred of size or brand for any time to who loves choclete.

There is nothing to explain why egg is a symbol of Easter especially in that event. There is nothing wrong saying how the business create opportunity from that. Read my posting about egg , fish and rabit in Easter:

Religious Holidays and i' going to stick my neck out and say christian ones especially is one of the most commercialised things in the world, i very much doubt santa claus and toys on the 25th are in the bible however being an athiest i'm not going to say its a fact never having read more than the story of noah's ark which I have heard is more of a story with morals rather than a story based on "fact" and I use quotation marks because religion isn't a fact it's a theory however, don't think i'm anti religion, all i'm saying is that it is very commercialised and that although eggs represent new life you can't argue that cadbury's aren't making a profit out of it. I mean look at coca cola, before that came along Santa wore green (correct me if i'm mistaken) on a related topic, I share my birthday with the invention of Coke (the drink) source - I was born 8th of May 92

Happy easter to all. For me it is more like a tradition than a religious thing. It was not until I attended school that I someone told me what easter was all about. But I have never cared about it anyway so.
