you can have up to 99 databases and i think it is unlimited tables as far as i know

you can have 99 databses and as many as tables your web hosting space can contain.

I like delivi's answer the best.And don't forget that the database size will only increase over time, so plan for the storage of data in the future when you calculate your requirements.
