biscuitrat 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 Eh, they're okay. You could do a little better on font selection for the navigation bars. Colors as well. Add a little more spark to the site! Also, I've never been a fan of slicing layouts. Mine are all seperate pieces chunked together, not one large piece broken apart. It's better for precision and because large images make pages load very slowly.
Plenoptic 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 I do like these templates a lot but as stated the text could use some work. In the first template the reference in the bottom of the first template could be more clear and readable. It looks sort of scrunched. In the second template has sort of the same problem. Navigation and Affiliates are ok but the other text once again is squished again and is hard to read. You don't want people to have to squint to see the site. The third is nice and is ok. I would recommend that you try pixel fonts.
Tom 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2006 They are way too simple for my liking! Maybe improve your font choice! hmmm.....coding seems to be quite well done, coding could be abit better! Nice job though! Though I like more colorful templates, so I wont be using them just yet!
siotoxin 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2006 These layouts are OK. The colors don't look very good and most of them but the main problem is the fonts. You should usually use more generic or basic fonts, like verdana or arial, instead of try to use pixel fonts, and then oversizing them so they get all disotorted and anti-aliased(anti-aliasing+pixel fonts is a no-no). The banners aren't to good either. The first two are just some well brushed banners. The third layout is propably the best. The black and grey looks pretty nice and the menu is ok, but the gradient becomes to bright, same with the menu and content bars. The banner is also more interesting in third.
