well, it is not free but this is the program that my parents use on my computer and it is called SpectorPro, maybe if you talk to your parents they will by it so you can keep an eye on him...it takes screen shots every however many seconds, it will e-mail you conversations whenever the window is closed....it will show the programs he ran..who he talked to and what he said, what he put in different forms and where those forms were, it will record his e-mails...it is a good program but i still say a total invasion of my privacy...lol good luck with this...maybe you can find it for free somewhere online *cough*

make your own hardware keylogger. keelog.com or something, just google it up. anyways you're not going to make one in VB. it either won't work, or will just suck.

Making a key logger in VB is quite simple... First of all, why would do you want a VB keylogger in the first place? Are you familiar with Visual Basic? If you are, then you can write your own keylogger, it's quite simple, and, despite what amhso said, it IS possible, and it won't suck, it's a simple matter of using windows API to do a hook, and subclassing... Visual Basic isn't a child's tool anymore you know... Anyway, visit Planet Source Code - VB World, and look for keyloggers there, I believe there are quite a few...

Anyway, as keyloggers are very bad thing, in my oppinion, as they invade privacy in the most horrible way, I would suggest you create multiple accounts, for you, and your brother each, and use your computer that way...

Why would you want to know what he does when he uses the computer? Does he break something, or what?

He said that that his brother keeps deleting history and forms so he wants to know why. I think he thinks his brother is looking or going to places he shouldn't be going to on the internet.

I wrote a program that records screenshots of the screen whenever the mouse moves, if you want I can send it to you. I'll include the source too if you want.

I was hoping you could send that program to me I need it to keep an eye on my computer because alot people that i don't trust use it.

Have you any experience in c or c++? Or java...Cause vb apps are pretty heavy. And if you don't want your brother to be able to close it, you'd be writing not an app, but a service. He probably won't know how to end these, probably he won't know it's runnig, while when you make an app and he has to close a program (because of crash for example) he could close that one as well). And euhm, personal thing. You sure don't need to tell it to anyone, but what if your brother should find out about it? I'll bet he won't laugh with it :P .
