LeAnn Rimes My Angel 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2006 (edited) I'm sure alot of people in here has at least a time or 2 in their lives have actually met some of these million dollar celebrities like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and I'm sure many more. And maybe tell us how many autograph's you got from some of these million dollars per movie celebrities. Or who you'd love to meet but you're planning to someday. My encounter with a celebrity was about 2 years ago me and my mom took a 3 day trip to go to Nashville Tn. Because I was going to a fanclub party of one of my favourite singers that lives in Nashville LeAnn Rimes. And I gotta say I had a blast meeting her and I managed to get 2 pictures of her and me she's such a sweet heart I also got 2 autograph's from her. And she's truly a wonderful person. I also got to meet her husband Dean Sheremet and her mother Belinda and I got autograph's from them too. All very nice sweet people. And whatever pictures I have of them and me I consider them the happiest day of my life. It was a hot humid day. And being from Canada I wasn't used to the very, very hot weather in Nashville but I had a lot of fun. And about 10 years or so before that. When I was younger and I had a babysitter when I was about 10 or so years old. I admired Christopher Reeve as his role of Superman. So back then I managed to send him a nice letter telling him how much I liked him and his great costume and great character he played in the old Superman movies many years ago. And when Christmas came a couple of months later a miracle happened. He had wrote back (This was long before he got Paralized). And he sent me an autographed Superman post card and his message to me was: To my greatest fan, Eat fruit love Christopher Reeve. I still have that autograph somewhere and when I find it trust me I will have it framed because I got an autograph from Christopher Reeve himself. I never thought he would write back but he did. It's truly sad he's gone and he will be forever missed.I would love to meet Reese Witherspoon someday because she seems like another sweet and lovely lady and I would be thrilled to meet her and talk to her about her movies like: Walk The Line and Just Like Heaven and some of her other great movies. And I would also love to meet Kate Beckinsale and tell her I love her in the movies of Underworld and would ask her if I could star in it with her. I know that won't happen but it's nice to dream. Edited March 29, 2006 by Dark God (see edit history)

Mich 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2006 (edited) I have had the privilege of meeting James Earl Jones (Darth Vader) when he came to our town to promote the refurbishing of our local theater, where he got his start on the stage. He was raised in a little town east of here, Dublin, MI. He signed copies of his book "Voices and Silences" for us and did the narative for a video about our theater. It really surprised me when I realized he has blue eyes. Then in his book I found that one of his grandmothers was caucasian, Irish to be exact. Â More recently I visited with Lee Greenwood of Country Western fame; notably "God Bless the USA". He was performing at our local casino last fall. I went to school with him back in 19mmm. We talked over school times back in North Sacramento. I still have my year book that he hadn't signed, so I asked him to sign it 50 years late. He was a darling in school and still is. I also communicate by e-mail with his sister who is back in the Sacramento, CA area. Â If you visit my personal homepage site you can see pics of both of them. James Earl Jones 3rd row down; pictures I took of him. Â Lee Greenwood Not very flattering of either of us. LeAnn Rimes My Angel 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2006 And just recently I saw one of these million dollar celebrities just 2 or 3 weeks ago. David Copperfield came to town to do some of his very impressive magic tricks. And at least one trick I've seen him do before on tv. He sent someone to some tropical Island someplace. (If you saw his Tornado of Fire then you'll know what I'm talking about). And he did a few other new tricks I've never seen him do before. But when he did his trick to send someone to someplace very far away. When he reappeared in the place I was seeing him "NAC, National Arts Center". He appeared just to or 3 rows behind me and me mom. I never really met him but I got close enough to him. And in 4 months or so I'll be going to Niagra Falls to see LeAnn Rimes perform and hopefully get to meet her again and get another few autograph's from her. I got my ticket now I am just waiting for July to get here so I can go and see her again.
xaetos 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2006 I had a random band member sign my arm at a concert. Three Days Grace, maybe? I can't even remember what band. I guess that could count as meeting.I know a few local musicians in bands with labels and cd's out.I believe I've met, or at least seen, Brad Gushue.. the curling dude for Canada. I doubt no one knows who he is, but he's got his own highway and street here :\I had the chance to meet an olympic gold medalist in triathlon, but the guy who was supposed to ask him to stop over forgot. I wasn't pleased. Hmm.. who else. I know a few people who are pretty big nationally with swimming, but I doubt anyone else will have heard of them.
anwiii 17 Report post Posted March 31, 2006 I'm sure alot of people in here has at least a time or 2 in their lives have actually met some of these million dollar celebrities like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and I'm sure many more. And maybe tell us how many autograph's you got from some of these million dollars per movie celebrities. Or who you'd love to meet but you're planning to someday. originally from the san fernando valley in california, i've seen many a star usually in hollywood, beveryhills or centry city driving right next to me. other than that, i was security for movie sets. i met people from tom cruiz and his wife(snobby sob) to suzan luchi and threw a footbal back and forth with danny aillo. maybe shouldn't have been doin' that while on the job, but i didn't care....heheh, shook hands with clinton and reagon, had dinner with some guy who was full of himself that actually trained the presidents kids in the martial arts. regon actually went to the same church i went to when i was a kid(bel air pres) and saw him many times with a crap load of security everytimemeeting stars isn't all what it's cracked up to be. most of them aren't down to earth people and full of themselves. they don't have the time for us peons that get a kick out of meeting someone in person. most wont give you the time of day unless you are a recognized somebody in the media or have an in like i did living in l.a. and also working on the sets. they normally don't like to be approached so i usually just give them their space and i've never asked for an autograph, although if i had an autograph of everyone i met, they'd be worth a little today. a actually, once i got reagon somehow to sign something for me but i lost it ....oh well se la vi....now i live cross country in a small town away from big city life where everyone was to busy to even aknowledge you and highly materialistic....not that i don't like money and the finer things but i don't let it control me. anyway, that' my little story.... sm00nie 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2006 About two years ago, during the toronto film festival, I was at my Father's small deli helping unload meat and vegetables (like I do almost every day!), and Jacki Chan walked in and ordered a vegetable sub. He was so happy and just talked to us about everything, how he loved Toronto what he was doing next, where my Father started the business (and that's bad news because my Father can talk about that for hours!), unfortunently I had to go for an interview (I got the job and still working there today) about 10 minutes after he arrived. My Father said he stayed for just over an hour chatting and helping chop vegetables, which is pretty nice seeing as how it's extremely busy.
misere 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2006 I've met quite a few local TV stars at random restaurants all over the place, but the best star I've ever met was a guy who used to act in my favorite police tv drama, but is now working in a bank, I believe.I was having lunch with a bunch of my girlfriends, and we were all talking and laughing like girls always will, when suddenly, one of us happened to turn to the side and notice that in the booth next to ours, there was this really hot guy, that looked an awful lot like an actor we all liked. So all of us began to crane our heads to see, and we spent the rest of the meal staring at him. None of us went up to him, though, since he seemed to be in a serious conversation with the guy he was eating with, and we were all contented to just sit and stare at him instead. I like those are the kind of stars. They're famous but they're very nice to people and they don't treat you any differently if they weren't famous. I bet your Fathers restaurant was quite busy that day. Did any of the customers ask for Jackie's autograph's or get their pictures taken with him?And people here's my fan photo's of me and LeAnn Rimes and her husband Mr. Dean Sheremet:http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/I hope everyone likes my pictures and how many celebrities let's you hug them like I did to LeAnn in here.
