Men get depressed more often, but....1) They are too manly to show it...
2) They get over it quickly...
3) Men are quite shallow so they get sad more often.....

Women get depressed over a single thing and then they brood over it until it explodes in their face and finally asks for help cuz they think they are a nuisance if they ask for help......

Jeez, all men want to do is to help but keeping those things from them and then finding out later hurts more but of course men just focus on making women happy, ne?

I have to totally disagree with this post because of the fact that there are various types of depression, PTSD is one of them because several different groups of people who have PTSD depression can be very specific. As soldiers like me when our depression kicks in we do show it, especially those who seem some bad stuff in a war zone, 2 we never get over it quickly as it could last days, weeks, months even years and 3 not everyone is shallow. Opinion your post is it is very wrong with how people deal with depression.

Women are just more sensitive that's all.Much moresusceptible to depression. And it's true. The smarter people would get depressed more easily. The more you think, the more possibilities you can see.The more negative ones included.I think the PSTD syndrome would make one's emotions much rawer.Combat is a harrowing experience.

Statistically that is correct, but scientists have proved that more males are depressed than the statistics show as they are less likely to go for help. *Huge Generalisation coming up* Females tend to be more open about there problems and males usually hide their problems so that they can mantain there "tough man" image...
