Zorkaplex 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2005 Ok so i am loading up phpbb2 fully modded forum onto my webpage from my local server. For some reason the proccess is aborted and it stops and says something like time out. Any advice on what is going on? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Plenoptic 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2005 If you upload a bunch of files at once and just minimize your FTP program it will decide you left it and can't watch what's going on so it stops itself. If you keep your FTP program open and just sort of move your mouse over the interface every couple seconds it'll be fine. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
rvalkass 5 Report post Posted December 3, 2005 Sometimes there is a limit set on how long you can keep the connection open for. I always upload folders one by one as some can be pretty large and not only take ages but can really slow down my connection.Just try uploading each file separately, if Plenoptic's suggestion doesn't work. DogEater008 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2005 if possible. .try to zip the file into a .zip file. .and upload that. .then use your cpanel to unzip that file.. it won't take as long.. and you dont' have alot of files t o upload.. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
